I'm actually embarrassed to say I own a PC from them. Then the 3 attempted apologizes from the CEO were laughable. Also the company's FTB has been Forfeited according to records discovered by another person on Twitter. I spent 20 months with the company as a Ambassador and was mod for over a year. I was one of the first 50 followers on their Twitch, nights where the CEO Noah was streaming with no viewers except me. I kept him company so he wasn't alone. I feel like I've wasted over a year of my life dealing with them. Sorry for the rant, just wanted to give my input from someone who's watched them grown from nothing to something.
@@ZE0XE0 I wouldn't say in the streaming community, there's just a major ego problem with the CEO of Artesian, and looking back, I can see when his sense of entitlement started taking shape, because of when he started working with big streamers driving sales up, his cash flow kept going up and up, and money makes people crazy, and the money got to him I think. Really said to see. But if you watch his apology video on Twitter, he doesn't care if you watch his mannerism and listen to his tone closely.
@Shraf2k FTB Forfeited: The business entity was suspended or forfeited by the Franchise Tax Board for failure to meet tax requirements (e.g., failure to file a return, pay taxes, penalties, interest).
I remember Jay asking about what sort of content we wanted a while back. This sort of stuff is amazing - I don't mean just giving away free PCs to people (that would be ridiculous!), I mean such a humble and positive view of the community as a while as well as such a phenomenally well thought out response to what has been an awful situation for someone. Massively appreciate the positivity and keep spreading the love!
I know this is an old video, but I've only really gotten into your stuff since starting my journey with my first self-built pc a couple months ago, and I just wanna say, your parenting methodology and your general desire to take a stand for what's right keeps me around as a subscriber and new PC owner.
And that Jay, is why you’re as big as you are. Such a whole hearted guy, even in the darkest of times. Huge props to you and any and all vendors who reached out, still some really good folks in the world.
Apparently, this isn't the first time Artesian Builds did this. This went viral because AB did this live. But on some of their giveaways, they disqualified some of their winners through PMs, telling them their subs count are too low for them to receive thousand of dollars worth of free stuff.
While they are scum for doing that they should have had requirements for qualification. I assume they don't have those requirements because they want every streamer they can pushing their products. If they had a sub count requirement they know so many streams wouldn't bother pushing their products if they didn't have the chance of winning a pc so when the winner isn't a higher value "ambassador" they disqualify them.
What made this all inevitable is how they namedropped Intel as if Intel would be mad if some little scrub won a big prize. They exposed their sponsor to all the negativity they created. I'd love to see them get ganked for running an illegal lottery.
My friend sold a GPU to them, Artesian Builds tried to scam my friend after buying it by claiming it never arrived to get their money back. Completely and utterly failed at it too. So this isnt the only sketchy stuff they've done.
My house burned down a few months ago and I lost everything, filming gear, collection etc. The awesome retrogaming community all stepped up to help me. Like you say, the positive things that happen like this are amazing. Nice work!
@@nuggystan9128 Electrical fault in the garage. Swept though the lower half of the house destroying my retro computer collection. I have some videos about it on my channel, but I'm not here to shill my vids, just say how awesome people were when they helped me.

Not just the employees but anyone who relied on them. Literally dozens and dozens of people are out on hundreds of thousands of dollars because their money was taken and their rig was either never built or mostly built but they can't get them anymore with it all being under lock and key. Not to mention people who RMA'd stuff that they can't get back.

I was glad to see this upload and her getting the pc she deserved. Even if it was from someone other than the group that owed her one. But I was also sad to see that she hasn’t posted a video since the unboxing video of the pc. Wonder why she stopped??

Wow!! Didn't expect to see you on a pc based channel. You're motivation and pure love for your community and how many people you have helped is astonishing. Much respect and love to you.💚🍻
@@oceyho Artesian Builds companies are federally suspended for tax evasion as of now. That means, if you want to sue them, they are forbidden by law to defend themselves in court. You can walk over them. It also means they have no rights to their company name. If you want, you can start a business or IP and call it Artesian Builds. They can't do anything about it. I suggest all the streamers hurt by this go after them now. No delay. They are done.
Not only does this shed a lot of light in how amazing of a person you are, but also EVGA and the other brands that didnt even hesitate to give some next level ballin parts. Just makes me love people like you and brands like EVGA even more!
@@TheEchelon There are already people (like Gamers Nexus, etc.) trying to help these former employees who were left out to dry. This might be better for them in the long run, as apparently Artesian Builds wasn't likely to last long even without this scandal.
In all seriousness, the events surrounding the firings suggest an issue with either the taxman or plain old bankruptcy. This whole cluster frack is just unfortunate/brilliant timing.
Thank you and EVGA for stepping up to fix this awful situation. This is what the tech community is about, helping the underdog. She'll put this rig to good use.
EVGA is the GOAT when it comes to their customer service. Over a year ago, I bought their 3090 off Amazon and it exploded day 1 (honestly have no idea why. I was playing league when it happened.), so I went through their RMA process and it was so easy and the rep was super friendly and knowledgeable. They give you the option of putting a deposit on the replacement, so they send you the new one at the same time you send in the broken one. Got my replacement in two days and it's been going strong ever since.
@@makatron I've had no issues with EVGA, for the most part. As for Asus, after having to RMA a motherboard and then RMA the replacements they sent me two times before finally getting a semi working one, with the process taking TWO months, my trust in Asus took a bit of a hit overall. I'm currently having to wait for a bios update to see if I can finally get my 4th stick of RAM to work in the new motherboard they sent me.
EVGA is really a great company. I lost access to my email for a month and during that month I got an email about being able to purchase a 3090. I had been in the queue for a year. I emailed them explaining my situation and I gave proof I was temporarily locked out of it and they let me buy one! They really do give people the best even in really challenging times.
Dude i'll hold your word man. My first build just finish and needed an aio which i already bought and waiting for shipping. The aio was EVGA i heard they make a great quality product. Had my hope so high now 😂.

It's nice to read about the bad guys being taken down, turning this into such a feel-good story. Congratulations Kiapia. Great work by everyone and outstanding help by JayzTwoCents for always caring about the little guy, and knowing one's roots and from whence they came.
Couldn't agree more!! Good on you Jay. I'm actually more impressed that you're fully admonishing the company. Anyone, everywhere can make a mistake or a series of them, but when they realise that mistake it is all in how they handle it that is most important. Good service doesn't mean pandering to every customer, it means putting right what is wrong when it is out of the customers hands and is something you did.
lol this chick got multiple PC's sent to her. Jay made her one and a couple other companies sent her free gaming PC's after they heard what happen. that's so dope the community hooked her up.
Shame about the others that were also knocked back! Can we try and get others to help out the other streamers that were overlooked? I had listed them, unfortunately the comments have been deleted.
Come for the hardware reviews, stay for the integrity. Massive respect to Jay, his crew, and all the others who help fight the good fight. Stuff like this is why I will always be a huge fan of this channel.
So happy for her, you are incredible, Ive struggled trying to make UA-cam content for over a year and it's can be very discouraging and with limited hardware I can't show off the amazing graphics and perfect frames, it really makes you feel like you can't do much at all, it's really nice to see you do this

@@Starfire-nv3nk There is definitely a case to be had, whether it would be worth the time and effort - especially since their name is pretty much dirt right now anyway - is questionable though.
2:40 Turns out there is something wrong with that: you're not allowed to run a chance-based giveaway that demands something of value from the participants, because that makes it a lottery rather than a giveaway. And legally speaking, producing advertisement value for the company running the giveaway does count for this. In fact, even demanding the ambassadors to have that referral banner on their Twitch about page might actually qualify as a requirement to do something of value to Artesian Builds. Even things like requiring participants to fill out surveys can be verboten if the resulting survey data has business value to the company. In the US, only State governments are allowed to run lotteries. And even outside the US, there's at minimum a lot of red tape involved in legally running a lottery. Not to mention private lotteries aren't just illegal to run: they're illegal to participate in. Getting caught up in this mess might actually cause harm to Ambassadors who just participated in it, if the US government decides to be a dick about this. So this stuff going high-profile might actually change the way these things are run in the tech community going forward. You can make it a giveaway where you just need to register for free, no additional requirements, and that's fine. You can make it a contest where the best Ambassador is awarded the rig, removing the element of a random draw, and it's also fine. But what Artesian Builds did was 100% a lottery: there was an element of chance that couldn't be removed by performing better than other participants, and participants were required to generate an ROI for Artesian Builds, which is obviously a consideration requirement. Which means all three elements of a lottery (prize, chance and consideration) were met.
ok so what im getting from what you said is that I don't understand anything and you are a very smart person 😅. Man i really need to get more educated with things like these lol
Probably because she got positive promotion from a ton of different people who have millions of subscribers ^^ I've seen a few big people partner with Artesian builds in the past, and they now all made videos distancing themselves from them, because they didn't want people watching their older content and think that they support people who actually just commit lottery fraud (or equivalent) live on camera. So, due to larger streamers covering their ass, she got a ton of well-deserved positive attention.
@@BerrysTC that is actually entirely irrelevant to the discussion. As usual, sexists just can't stay on topic and have to wedge their dumb opinions in everywhere.

@@milanfan81 I didn't buy directly from Zotac, as I recall. In the end, I was able to return through the online retailer for a full refund. Amazing how companies continue to massively fumble such easy wins. Talk about snatching defeat out of the jaws of victory. This all could have been a feel good story, instead they douched the fuck out and will pay the price.
Jay, thank you. You've worked with companies like Intel, Asus, and EVGA time and time again to give to the community. You've helped your community with the PC gaming/ streaming center. You've helped individuals that couldn't afford upgrades and people that volunteer to help the community. Now you're helping streamers getting shafted by the companies supposedly sponsoring them. Glad you jumped in Jay - sadly I see lots of this happening. The company see they weren’t going to get the kick back via a (thank you review) to her followers. You can clearly see it wasn’t going to get the exposure they thought they had (paid for) via a computer. Remember your roots, by all means, but even more basically then that, both shops like this and individuals at large need to remember simple human decency.

The thing is, they only changed it to those requirements after they picked a winner.
Which is arguably worse because that makes it illegal no matter how you slice it.

@@PyroInferno110 I guess I've just seen a lot of unlucky few and had some bad luck myself the past couple years then. It's good to hear it's not widespread.
@@BearWaifuAudios yea don’t worry, you’ll get there trust me. Some of us gotta earn the shits
@@BearWaifuAudios especially with where you are now
Hey Jay! I started watching you when I first got into building my own PCs. It does me proud to see you stand behind people with positive efforts like this!
Huge! Respect to Jay and EVGA for stepping up, no one should have to go through that and I'm glad in the PC world there are heroes like you guys!
And the good thing is: This will probably work on increasing her viewer base. Thanks Jay, you and your team are awesome!!
Btw, we are missing Nick and Phil on screen!
Definitely! She was below 2k followers when it happened- now she's at almost 18k followers!
Less than 2k when Artesian Builds pulled her name. Over 7k and climbing. On Twitch alone.
Needed two custom system builds and found Artisan, checked for review and found this video needless to say we won't be using their services. Good looking out for the little guy Jay
Mad respect - plus actually showing a business how to actually build your brand - may you get all the good feels and vibes
Honestly love the FU energy that your giving to the company, as well as the many others who jumped on board.
For all the crazy stuff happening in this world, taking a wrong, and just going about fixing it seems like a damn good idea. Nice work JayZ and team.
@Kiapia, enjoy the rig!
I'm sending my 3080 ftw3 ultra back to evga for an rma, I love them guys there they are so helpful with the customer support. If anyone is having issues with the 3080s locking the core clocks at 225mhz i guess its been happening to a few of them. Tried all the fixes evga recommended, and last ditch effort is rma now.
Evga is and always will be my favorite of the manufacturers, it seems like such good people run that company.
I love how the pc building UA-cam community is really coming together on this. This is so freaking great!
This is one of these moments, when i´m proud to be part of this community. Jay, you´re doeing the right thing. Supported 100%. Keep on doeing this 👍
Man... stories like this always get right to the core. I'm talking about "villains" and heroes in real life. I know you're not seeking recognition for this. Absolute respect, you're such a great dude.
been watching for a few years now and love how much of a legend he is. normally there is not a reason to celebrate a company basically bottoming out. In this case where a company tells someone they cant have their giveaway because they aren't "big" enough for their taste, would be like telling someone they cant have the mega millions they won because they are to poor, its ridiculous. but i will be checking out her stream and showing love and support. keep this community strong friends.
Watching it all unfold on Kia's channel was really heartwarming to see because people being kind like this is what the Twitch community should be like.
I genuinely love how much Jay's pulled through for this young lass, hope the build does so much good for her ❤️
I've been watching JayzTwoCents for 2 1/2 years now, and this only confirms the impeccable character this channel represents. Not being sappy, just saying it like it is. Good job guys!
I have only recently started to follow Jay, but this is an amazing thing to do in this situation. I am glad that I randomly came across Jay's videos a few weeks ago and began to follow this channel. Thank you for being such a great streamer and for being there for fellow streamers and the community.
Remember your roots, by all means, but even more basically then that, both shops like this and individuals at large need to remember simple human decency. Being insulated by the internet as a buffer is no reason for Artesian or anyone else to engage in such shameful conduct. Must we all be saints? No, of course not. But we should all remember to be human, and humane. I almost forgot to say congrats on the fantastic build and your own generosity in this mess. Thanks for being an example of how it should be done.
I’m a small streamer as well. You did a kind thing. Thanks for helping this girl!
Great job to Jay and all the crew involved for getting this video out so quickly and for bringing out the best so consistently
First of all, you are a GOAT. Loved the video brother!!! amazing act of kindness i love to see it
Good on you Jay, this is why I love UA-cam and the community you and others work to build.
Jay that is so awesome I saw the Tweets and I'm glad that you were able to help her out. People like you make an impact in the world one person at a time.
This is why I keep subscribed to you Jay. Honestly, I joined for the water cooling knowledge and stick for the absolute beautiful human being you are. Much love for you and the crew!
Thank all you YTers for covering this company. I was thinking of having a new computer built and was looking at these guys. Thanks to you and your compatriots, I just upgraded my current rig's parts and am quite satisfied.
You're 1 of the good ones Jay, good to call out what companies tend to screw you over when they want to.
@kiapia , hope you enjoy your new rig and your community will grow harder and faster then ever but dont forget to keep both feet on the ground :)
Perfect match! A "poor victim" of great "injustice" + someone who never loses the opportunity to play the white knight and get some free exposure.
