A person you can naturally and freely love… someone you admire and respect. A kind of calling that doesn’t fade away when time goes by, or even when truly devastating circumstances happen. A person who sees all of who you are; and someone you want to be the best version of yourself for. Most importantly, the person who makes you want to be a saint… a love that overflows into all other parts of your life. God gives us many little signs- beautiful coincidences that we must ponder in our hearts. Or maybe I’m totally wrong. I don’t know. 🤷🏻♀️
Another way to look at it is like this: An internet philosopher once said to imagine your partner as an old person of the same gender. If you can see yourself wanting to be around them you found The One. Same idea of perspective shift
The idea of looking at someone as brother or sister to me would make it difficult to find them sexually attractive in a sense, or maybe just repulsed. ( if it's literally? and some do, I'm sure,- Somewhat of a Jedi mind trick not have sex with your dating/engage partner.) and marrying someone that your not/maybe sexually attracted to and just doing it because of faith? I think this can have a host of other issues down the road. So then you marry your sister/brother(?) and on that wedding day the priest says a few magic words a "Viola, , Ciao, bingo, bang-o, and ta -da! " And now you're no longer brother or sister anymore. On to God sanctioned sex and to be freaks in the sheets. That could be a hard psychological switch for some Maybe this Idea comes from the bible to why to marry you're brother and sister in Christ? - Eve brought forth her first born son and with him a daughter the First live birth on Earth was Twins and one of them was a girl according to the text after 8 days Adam and Eve finally got around to naming the kids the boy was named Cane just like in the Bible while the girl was named the Lulula. When Eve finished breast feeding she became pregnant again, another son Abel and daughter named Aklia -. That Cane and Abel each born with a twin sister they each married each others twin? ( which makes sense being the only people on the planet) - Unrelated but Interesting twist to the story: This is one theory possibly there was a motive to why Cane killed Abel, because he was jealous that Lulula, for she was more attractive than Abeles twin Aklia ,and so Cane coveting his own twin kill him? I find these stories more of a parable to Jealousy and envy - not real history. A man seeking sex finds love, and woman seeking love finds sex."
There is no “the one”. You can be happy with multiple people. It’s unhealthy when dating to believe in the concept of the one or soulmates. Any good priest will tell you this.
What other ways could you discern if he/she is the one???
If they say "God told me to marry you" the first time you meet they arent the one (probably)
