that's a good video and I get your points. I think you shouldn't change your whole personality and act like someone you're not, you just gotta turn some bad habits of yours into good ones. I agree that it's all about balance, you can't be perfect all the time, some days you feel motivated and energetic some days you don't and it's totally fine!

in love with you fr. thank you for being so grounding on this app. instead shouldn’t we be teaching people just to fully accept and love themselves for who they are and know you are whatever u say u are. you are the it girl or dream girl if you think you are. that’s it! a lot of these teachings leave out vital spiritual knowledge alongside the true God. this rlly shows.. ty for this video again💜

For me when I started to physically "glow up" (fashion aside) I found what my base line self-care was first, and then go one step up, that's the key. A few personal examples of what I used to do was bite my nails, wear cheap mascara & lipstick, showered fortnightly, never styled my hair or did skin care. One step up from this (what I do now) is I trim and shape my nails with a file, Bought better quality mascara and lipstick that feel nicer to wear and last longer, showered weekly, wear my hair half up half down using a mini claw clip and use a cold wet towel to just remove makeup, refresh and clean my face.
These are all very basic and simple steps that are a step up from what I was originally doing and have made a major difference all while I still feel authentically myself and not that I'm trying to be some it/that girl with her 10-step skincare and 20 makeup products, getting her nails and hair done at the salon weekly. which would have burnt me out and I would have gone back to my old bad habits.
I will say that once these things became my new normal, I was willing to "level up" certain things like taking care of my cuticles and wearing a clear protective nail polish, and using make up remover and moisturiser. One day I hope to be doing my own gel nails at home and have a simple skincare routine.
Another key thing is trying things to see if you like them but don't go all the way, want to see if you want lash extensions, try false eyelashes first, wanna get your eyebrows shaped and dyed, use a eyebrow pencil first, wanna have long nails, get press on's and see how you fair. I have tried all of these and learnt I did not like them, I can appreciate them on others but as for myself I am very minimalist with my physical appearance and so feel no need to go further, One area I did find myself actually upgrading and investing in was my jewellery, I love gold and so I bought a pair of gold hoop earrings and necklace from Primark, I wore them to the point my skin was green and they weren't gold anymore/tarnished. I then bought a similar looking pair of hoop earrings and pebble necklace from ana luisa that are real Gold and I haven't taken them off since!
The difference just these simple and very easy actionable steps, that make me still feel like myself, just on a more "elevated" sense, have been wonderful for my self-confidence and love.
forgot to add what I actually love about myself XD for me its my very pale and light features and my very vibrant natural ginger hair
