This is actually so simple and so good. You can also sug the gugumber with Napa cabbage, carrots and etc. as long as you do the salt bath first. For leafy vegetables like Bok choy, just boil water and immerse the bokchoi for a few minutes to "cook" it. Just don't soak it too long on the hot water.
I have ordered this in Chinese restaurants before and sometimes it usually comes in a lunch set. Cucumbers are in season right now, I will make this with some Japanese cucumbers we have here. We normally crush cucumbers with a rolling pin or pestle. Good ideas about using a motor and pestle to crush garlic cloves as we don't get huge little raw garlic pieces which can be pretty strong.
Lol "Asian" dishes. Hope you're aware that Asia is a big region that includes many countries offering variety of dishes, with different cultures and ingredients of food. This channel offers many Chinese dishes and her take on some exotic food from other countries as she is from China. I am also in Asia but I would never say favorite Asian dishes, it is Chinese dishes rather, and one particular part of China actually. It is like saying my favorite European dishes where Europe includes many countries of different cultures, languages and food, it's like saying Italian and German cooking and culture are similar or English and French cooking are similar lol :D Drastically different actually. Same in Asia.

黄瓜本身的质量很重要, 不能太老, 囊不能太大, 足水脆嫩的黄瓜是最好的。
马来西亚有道小吃rojak, 里面有黄梨/黄瓜/沙葛/芒果/虾饼/蕹菜/芽菜, 酱汁虽是灵魂, 但蔬果不新鲜马上扣分。
rojak是我完全无法接受的味道 。。。。。。

哈,这是目前唯一一个我不看视频也能做的一样一样的菜,但还是想看看小高姐是怎么smack黄瓜的。话说这里用的是Lebanese cucumber,已经比English cucumber好多了,我们这还有卖一种pickle cucumber ,也挺嫩,但是粗细不均,哪种都没有国内的黄瓜好,想念顶花带刺的小黄瓜
