- Join us, Carol & Ken, as we take a trip to the New Forest in our Consort Nova Motorhome called Snoopy.
In this video, we feel trapped in the van with a severe weather warning for strong winds. Should we risk a wet, blowy walk along the beach?
Later, we check out Crow Farm shop, as suggested by @TristandKez, and buy some goodies.
As the weather improves we park up in the forest for a spot of lunch then take a walk around Stoney Cross where we discover Ocknell Campsite.
Time to cook up a curry and get cosy in the van as we contemplate Storm Nelson on its way tomorrow.

Nice one guys! Cheered me up. John Collier advert for menswear! I remember it well. The mushrooms and egg on toast looked delicious. It’s been a hard time recently for my sister and I have recently been down south to help her so that she can look after her terminally ill husband. Life is Too Short right enough Ken and Carol. Thanks for your tip on the farm shop. I will be doing a house-sit in Ringwood in September so will definitely pay it a visit.
even when carp fishing ridge monkey kettle lids leave a lot to be desired lost count of the times the lid has dropped into boiling hot water and had to br retrieved with a fork ,the scenery was once again gorgeous and the farm shop food had me drooling 😊

That was the fastest 30 minutes ever! I wish we had farm shops like the one you filmed. Stocked with the very best foods. I like the idea of buying local.
In the UK we have all shot ourselves in the foot by using supermarkets. The quality is poor, everything is in large bags and its expensive. We all failed to use our local butchers, bakers and green grocers and now most of them are gone. The French never fell for the convenience con. Over there most towns have multiple butchers etc. I wish we could go back to the high street but we have no chance. The convenience of Amazon is now killing everything else. ☹️👍 That Farm shop is an oasis of how things were.

Another lovely video and i love your walks you do come rain or shine and how cosy your campervan is. And like the both i cook from fresh because I'm also carrying extra timber and the misses wants to loose a little aswell. We've come across a 4x4 campervan and it £80000 brand new a four birth like we wanted it built on a mercedes 3lt engine with all the bells and brass knobs. Looking forward to watching your next endeavours on the super camping life.

Can't believe the amenities that you have compared to where I am in Illinois. Farm shops, free parking lots out in the country, beautiful walks to take. Nothing like that here. You are so lucky! I miss England so much!

I remember "JOHN COLLIER" THE WINDOWS TO WATCH. THEY SOLD QUALITY MENS CLOTHING IN THE SIXTIES, THE JINGLE WAS FROM THE ADVERTISMENT ON THE TELEVISION.

I'm glad your vlogs are a bit longer because they used to end too soon 😊 I've only ever used Waze for directions in my 8 years of campervanning. I used Google maps once whilst walking and after 1.5 hours I ended up back where I started (centre of Weymouth) instead of at my park up. I caught a bus back 😂

Lovely comforting food meatballs and spaghetti,yum.The weather has been quite changeable (those poor people caught out without coats).I always take a waterproof with me just in case.I do a "posh" version of mushrooms on toast,mushrooms in cream on toasted brioche buns.Thank you Carol and Ken.Safe travels.See you on the next.

Every town had a John Collier tailor, also called 'The 50 shilling tailor'. Can remember going with my Dad when he was having a suit made and the pattern books with all the fabric swatches. 😂

I love Snoopy! Little Red was all right… for one person.
Now you have the luxury of space, which you both so richly deserve.
Little Red was perfect for one, especially if the rock and roll style bed is replaced with a long bench bed 👍. Without a doubt Snoopy is a palace in comparison. Lots of fun though in Little Red over the years.

Hi kids from Spain. I used to like the large flat field mushrooms fried but i haven't seen any for years and I prefer my eggs poached. There's nothing like poached eggs on toast for breakfast.
What is it like in Spain at the moment. We need to go back there as we were loving it until Covid cut short the trip.
@@LifeistooshortCK Currently in this part (Jaén) it is sunny with max temps approaching low 30s and no rain on the horison for at least a couple of weeks. Up north: showers and slightly cooler.

Just to let you know there was parking for your van in Burley if you had turned right insyead of going round the bend and up the hill. and then if you had followed that road afterwards you coils have found q few places ro park up for the night. hope tpu enjoyed your visit to the New Forest anyway.😊

Before watching this video, I was watching two videos from the Beverly Hills, California, Concours d'Elegance on June 16, 2024. What a weather shock! From warm cloudless skies and lots of people to a "just slightly" chillier environment, with rain, no leaves on the trees, and other vegetation three months earlier in time. You two lovebirds having fun in a camping-conversion van having lots of fun made its video very enjoyable. Except @ 7:00, Ken looked like a creature from a HammerFilms horror movie. Rural England is beautiful any time of the year, especially through your lens.

That farm shop was amazing, such a great array of products. All the meat and deli items looked superb.
So many people I know have gone back to cooking with either butter or lard instead of oil.

Our mums and dads were raised on butter and lard. Plenty of home movies showing thousands of them on the beach and almost everyone looks thin and healthy. Once the margarines, corn oil and low fat products arrived we all became sick 👍
I love the van, it gives a cosy feeling especially when it’s pouring it down outside! We will have to look up that farm shop! I could almost smell the fresh fruit and veg. Looked so good!
We will be adding to the tourist vibe in Burley back end of the year on a cottage holiday! 😂 stones throw away from a pub! - priorities!

What a lovely Farm Shop. We had either mushrooms on toast or sardines on toast every Sunday evening when I was a child. Snoopy looks so cozy.
Sardines on toast with a bit of salt and pepper what a treat. Now I want them again 😁👍
Thai green curry paste is nice . Just add coconut milk and chicken breast cut into pieces and slow cook till tender. Serve with some jasmine rice. Very nice.

I stopped watching Those Happy Days too because of the click bait thumbnails and the fact that every vlog is Liam waffling and he says "we're gonna be doing sommat" .... but we'll tell you later and then "we're gonna do sommat else" .... but you'll find out later and "we did sommat" but we'll tell you later. Oh my Gosh do they really think that sort of nonsense is a clever way to keep viewers viewing. It had the opposite effect on me
