Net zero is a pipe dream. Compared to countries like China and India, the UK’s carbon footprint is miniscule 😉😉
Hi. Thanks for watching our video 👍
They want everyone living in 15 minute cities. The rest of the world carries on regardless
We really should try to up our plant food production. CO2 is the Gas of Life❤
@ Ahh, but that’ll mean farmers using more diesel in their tractors 😂😂😂😂
Isn't that rather like saying I don't mind my kid being a fat little porker because the house over the road has got three fat kids and an over weight labrador
36:43 just to add to the list of concerns regarding the camper van ‘cull’ is the fact that full timers that can then no longer live in their camper vans full time (me), will need homes. Those that can not afford to buy (me), will need to rent. Already greedy landlords will increase their rent as they always do (personal experience), as they rub their hands in glee. The government are not equipped to provide social housing or council housing to those in need, so then people will or may then ditch their then defunct camper vans and use a tent - then they ban tenting?? I do fear that I will be homeless at that point.
I am a man of a certain age with disabilities living in a van as I can not afford a house or rent on a house despite working full time without break since I was 15 yrs old!! I’ve paid my dues but entitled to nothing because we are too busy supporting an ever growing non indigenous community that continues to grow wildly out of control .
Its deeply concerning
@@micro_adVANtures so true, it's the same here in the USA.
Nip over the channel and come over as an asylum seeker speaking Urdu with no ID and and you will get everything you need free
@@micro_adVANtures to call landlords greedy is part of renter's problem. It is a misconception that all landlords are multimillionaires. They are just average people and the home you are into, the landlord pays it mortgage, There are many absolute disgusting tenants that marking a living out of renting a property it's a shear nightmare
@ okay to dismiss this out of hand comment I’ll offer more context…. The land lord DOUBLED the rent over night, did nothing to fix the damp, the black mould, or rid the property of the rats. Yes rates and interest have increased but they certainly have not DOUBLED… an increase of sorts is expected but not to this extreme… even the letting agency dropped them from their books apologised to me for the treatment!!!!
It’s pure greed 100% !!!!
@@micro_adVANtures it might. Bd your experience. It's not possible to double the rent out of the blue. There are laws and regulations, I could tell you many many srories of renter's trashing the place, not paying rent making fraudulent claims ectopic. But with this stinky attitude towards landlords a good landlord would not house you in fear of your problems. also mice or rat problems usually have to do with hygiene of the property and damp sometimes because of poor ventilation, just saying. And yes in some cases mortgages rates have doubled. If there are no people buying property to rent out you have nowhere to live, Government does not provide e ought affordable housing, at least not for the British

We live in Cayton Village, have no problem with camper vans and motor homes coming to the area. We don’t own one ourselves but envious of those who do and love watching your travel vlogs! We bought an electric car this year, it suits us, we love it but…we are retired and don’t do that many miles. We also got a home charging unit that came with the car package. I think those who do lots of miles, or have no drives where they can charge their cars, have much more issues with changing to electric. Keep on doing what you’re doing for as long as you can! ❤
Hi. Thanks for watching our video 👍 Have a great evening
Trouble with electric cars theres no second hand value no ones going to buy an 8 year old one
My son drives a lot of miles every day as his job involves travelling around the south east and east of England meeting different people every day. He covers a far higher than average mileage. His firm allows him to chose his own car from a list and he has recently received his latest, it’s electric. Please don’t tell, people that EVs are only suitable for retirees or people who do small mileages, you’re showing just how out of touch you are. The Council could start a scheme with a £5 or £10 per night charge but you in effect pay by purchasing goods or services from local businesses who give you a 1 night parking ticket that is stamped with that days date when your purchase is over that amount.
If the scheme gained traction on social media it could be a real boost for a seaside town.
Thanks for watching and sharing 👍
Councils are part of the problem, except for Kent, they seem realistic.
ah but the councils will increase that charge each year.
Watching this from our home of 10 years in France. France caters for Motorhomes on a level you would be so envious of. Most towns and villages have devoted Aires for Motorhomes. Many are often free or just a few euros. Site fees in recent visits to the UK have become exorbitant and non sustainable. Back in September I visited Bayeux for a week and the Municipal Aire complete with all facilities and entry to the Aquatic centre next door cost 19€/night (asci disc).
We love France and it is the only reason I would get rid of my caravan for a motorhome if I was to visit France more often (when we retire) Europe in general is more Motorhome and camping friendly, lots of towns in the UK need to wake up to the money that people spend in the towns when visiting and start to provide parking facilities at sensible prices. - Very envious of you living in France.
I've just travelled in my motorhome from St Malo down to the Spanish border, and motorhomes are actually welcomed . They even have elsan points , waste water dump and fresh water on some motorway services .

Hi folks just to say we had the same problem up here on the Wirral motorhomes started parking on the prom and at first it was ok no problems and no charges but then more and more started to come and they where all parking together taking up all the road and leaving no room for the locals to park there was one who even had a tow car all checked out like a police car and he parked it right at the top of the prom just pissing everyone of really so people started to get angry with them and now they are not allowed unless they pay £20 per night so now its empty again just a typical case of taking the piss

The parking bays you videoed were not big enough for camper vans . Probably in the passed campers would park over two or three bays . The fire warning is because on a campsite there is space between vans for a fire break in normal parking bays they park too close so no fire break
Thanks for watching
The 5 metre rule on caravan club sites was brought in during covid, it was to stop the spread of Covid initially, but also as you rightly point out a Fire break both good reasons. So if the councils are really concerned then they should look at the recent massive fires in where hundreds of Electric cars caught fire and the emissions pumped into the air on those days (that's of course after producing the huge batteries using fossil fuels) Net 0 will break us all uk is only 1% of the worlds emissions. when India/china/russia /america follow suit then is the time to fall in line.
So with electric cars becoming more popular and the fire risk they impose why are they allowed to park close to other vehicles.
Car crash on motorway! Councils and government looking into banning cars.
They’re not? So, why Motorhomes?
Love your vlog, guys 👍
I live on the coast and for the last couple of years, the free car parks have become rammed with camper vans who turn up and stay for the whole summer. There is evidence of fires, rubbish lying about and they empty their loos into the stream. Parking with a view of the sea is now impossible for locals with limited mobility who just want to come and enjoy the coast for a little while.
I’m a keen camper-vanner and have been for many years. But I can see a time coming where overnight parking will be banned here too.
As usual, the few spoil it for the many.
Hi, thanks for watching
I live in Snowdonia and have been wild camping since the 80's, before Covid wild camping was technically illegal (in England and Wales) but tolerated if people followed the guidelines as laid out by the specific are they were camping, but Covid threw a bit of a spanner in the works with the increase in staycationing with many people fly camping i.e. camping around the edges of car parks or in an around populated areas etc. and leaving lots of rubbish and debris, and ever since fly camping hasn't gone away, which is worrying, areas like Snowdonia still have wild camping guidelines on their official website but it also says no one should wild camp and everyone should look at using campsites in the future. Now as worrying as it is for wild campers, it's actually very difficult and near impossible to police real wild campers if they follow the guidelines (which includes setting up your tent just before dark and straight after sunrise, camping in remote areas and leaving no trace you were ever there) so real wild campers will always be safe as if done properly no one knows you ever camped, but still, I wouldn't like there to be an official ban which got upheld and policed by wardens etc. as it's just another fun past-time gone for many people, I can hear Johnny Rotten's voice screaming "No Fun, No Fun!"
Hi. Thanks for watching and have a great day 👍
Bit of a laugh calling it wild camping.its just camping. I used to go to all national parks and was able to light fires and other things but just main guidelines was leave it as you find it.never stayed in a campsite except once where the facilities were bad and didn't pay for it due to noone around.easy to be invisible with the right gear too and no tent
@ Was there a point to your reply? 🤣
I live in Australia, a lot of small towns encourage caravans / motor homes to stay in areas they put aside near sports clubs for a very small fee and have access to the clubs locker rooms for toilet and showering. They know those staying will shop in the town and visit the local pubs for drinks and a meal so it works well both ways.
I may not know all the rules in the UK regarding the 2030 ban on combustion engines but doesn't it just stop purchase of new vehicles? If that's the case most modern engines will do close to a million kms if looked after and serviced properly.
They would probably last 50 years for an average person travelling so if that's the case it will be 2 generations away. I'm sure by then there would be viable solutions. Just my thoughts, I enjoyed your video.
Hi. Thanks for watching and sharing this info 👍👍
I would put money on it that the government will increase the Road tax massively for existing vehicles after the ban and insurance will also rise for those the government will make it not finacially affordable for the average man.

I never forget in Scotland we saw a nice lay-by with a lovely view and we were going to pull up and have some food, maybe go for a walk, there was a campervan there but room for a couple more cars, however we quickly realised it smelt putrid from human waste, clearly it was regularly used by campervans, how anyone would want to park up there was beyond me, it was spoilt.

If you get a hab check done in winter the dealer will or should leave the dump valves and taps open. If they closed them and you got a hard frost with water left in the system they could be held responsible for any damage done by freezing
Thankyou 👍👍
That was my thought.
Hey, another great Vid, keep em coming please....oh and btw please change one of the blue curtain ends so its fed onto the pole the same both ends.....messing with my OCD 😂😂😂🤪😝
Hello 😂😂😂😂😂 I’ll sort it next time I go in the van 😂😂😂😂
We've a camper and spend a lot of time in it, including 4 months in 2022 when we did Land's End to John O'Groats, in all that time we never camped except on camp sites.
We also live on Morecambe Bay, there always used to be a few odd vans but then people started taking the p!ss, literally.
The parish council had to close a part of a slip road because long term camper vans turned it into a midden. There was rubbish, and excrement in the bushes, chemical toilets were being emptied on the beach, the place stank, eventually it became too much and the council acted.
The problem has now moved down to the main promenade, dozens of vans clog up the prom, they pour chemical waste down the road drains and fill the bins with their rubbish ( when they can be bothered to walk to one and not just leave it on the pavement. Local businesses are also fed up as they put almost nothing into the local economy.
So it's nothing about control or spoiling people's fun, it's about local people putting pressure on their councils to do something about the people who spoil their homes.
My personal view is if you can afford a van, stay on a campsite, if you don't want to stay on a campsite don't by a van.
And don't complain about paying for parking, you're putting a tiny bit on money back into the council who use it to support the local services.
Haha good thing you aren't in charge then, cause people can do whatever they want. Oh and go and say that to the traveller community, that has a tendency to steal everything.
Hello. We enjoy campsites, it suits us best as we are not very wild!

When we built our van we only ever planned on campsites. We didn't want to do wild camping, but I did as a one off want to stay on the Scarborough seafront over winter for 1 night only just try it once. The issue is those on campers that leave a mess or only want free park ups and that is not always possible so park in spots they shouldn't be. All the youtube vids showing "this beach all to ourselves" stuff, helped grow the flood that's ended the wonderful years of quiet camping.
Spots that were completely isolated and rarely used are now packed with vans year-round, after being publicised on websites.

My Brother in Law has worked on Diesel Petrol and now works on EV's, he says with "Proper Maintainence" diesel is far cleaner, but people don't like to stay on top of servicing and there lies the problem.

This is very interesting. I just sold my electric vehicle 9 seater van to buy a new 6m diesel motorhome. I tolerated the van for 3 years. It was great for pottering around locally but it seriously restricted my lifestyle. The extortionate fees at public chargers and serious lack of infrastructure actually stopped me from living my usual outdoorsy lifestyle. I won't even get started on disabled bays for EVS...they don't exist!!
I considered getting a caravan but the vivaro would only pull 1 metric ton and then the pain in the arse of trying to charge it.
The government needs to pull it's socks up. I was totally on board with my eco friendly vehicle but sorely let down with the infrastructure. The UK just wouldn't cope as it is.
Great vlog 😊
Hi. Thanks for watching our video 👍 Have a great evening
Why on a earth would you drive a nine seater van?
It's just so upsetting, anything enjoyable in life is slowly being taken away from us
Hi. Thanks for watching our video 👍 Have a great evening
Don’t let them take any thing from you they have no rights
We are having our camper van built this year, they start it April, I am wondering now if it's going to be worth it, it will be an ICE vehicle because I think EV's are OK for short journeys but in a camper you always drive long distance, imagine how many charges you would have to do for a trip from calais to Spain, you would need an extra week just to charge up😮 also what about weight surely a camper would need quite a hefty battery .I am new to your channel but Lovely vlogs, great music and cracking scenery, good viewing. thank you 👍👍
Welcome to our channel 👍👍
Really enjoy the channel, dry humor. Yes this video is though provoking. Keep going life is too short, you never know when you do something if it was the last time you do it. Come to the New Forest and say hello before the gates get put up 😂
@@eugenekennedy9408 and the national trust get there dirty thieving finger's on all the land they can.....

I don't even drive and I love watching you two . So do as you said and get out whenever possible , enjoy and have fun because regardless of what rules and regulations are inbound life is too short to dwell on things ❤
Thanks 👍❤️
I turn 55 next year and want to draw on my pension to buy a cheap campervan but looks like this is going to be short lived dream if the government have anything to do with it.but I know until then we're going to travel and enjoy it and make some memories...Great video thankyou
You know you can still have and use a diesel/petrol Motorhome after 2030 yeah? 🤔
Hi. We enjoy the time in ours and hope you do when you get yours, Thanks for watching and have a great day 👍
having just come across your site, Im shocked and dismayed to hear this...I bought a little second had motor home fiat Ducato 24 yrs old ...3 months ago...admittedly I dont go far about 1/2 hr up the road to a lovely site that has showers /toilets etc , hook up and water..I love it there lots of trees and lakes to walk round,,, a cafe and a bar as well... but the reason for my pride and joy was I need to get away from all the pressures of family ...with parents with alzeihmers/dementia respectively..I just need me time and having my motor home is giving me that calm and inner peace that i need...this site also allows me to take my 3 border collies and don't charge for them,,all they ask is to clear up after them..which i more than happy to do...its my escapism..so what would I do if "Freedom" my motor home could no longer be used in 5 years time just because shes diesel...is she to just sit on my drive and fade away..as you wont be able to sell her..many people will be in the same boat as me...surely if all this is to come into force by then ..then all motor home manufacturers must stop all production of all camper vans/motor homes as of now. as most are still diesel.as they are selling under false pretenses (as people who buy these will be expecting to use these for more than five years), and all insurance companies must stop selling insurance same goes for tax.I will never be able to afford to buy a new motorhome be it electric or diesel as yes you are right they are way out of my league on PIP disabilty benefit...and even if I won the lottery to be truthful i don't want electric...cant see how within 5 years theirs going to be all hook ups everywhere for people to go up to in the lake district, or where they park up in Yorkshire Dales and can go hiking in Malham etc etc, campsites will also be expensive because they will have to pay to have all the electric hook ups etc put in place ..unless the government is going to pay for all this to be done..which means people like me wont be able to go ...as for arguments about food etc..Im a coeliac I NEED Gluten Free food, food out is very expensive for me,i also cant guarantee that the food is being cooked in a different area free from contamination, so having my own food to take away is good for me as I have prepared it, I don't go on holidays as hotels too expensive and dont go abroad as way too much hassle for bording planes and passports and food.etc and way too expensive..so having just finally found a little bit of pleasure in my life at 59 at an affordable £30 per night for 2 people all water and electric free and my fur babies ...some nasty person wants to come along and take that all away from me😮💨...Am i not allowed a little pleasure in my life and to meet some like minded lovely people ?????? This world /country is becoming a not very nice place to live in anymore😒
Hi. Thanks for watching our video
We are going to keep going out and enjoying our travels. We hope you are well and that you continue to enjoy your lovely van, looking at the trees and cafes.
We send you our best wishes
26:05 if you'd gone a bit further down after looking at the sign, there's cayton bay surf shop, you can park there, last time I checked it was 5 quid in summer. But you can park all day, and just chill after hours because the inward gate gets locked, with the surf shop, but the exit has hinged spike ramp things that only let you leave. Dunno if you've checked there or what the craic is, but one thing to be aware of is, Tommo, the owner is a proper funny bugger, so don't be surprised if he's incredibly rude.
Hi. Thanks for sharing
Another great video. I particularly like the comment about sparkly lights by Andy...... I'm taking full credit for this Claire 😂
Peter. Yes. The lights are all you 😂😂😂😂😂
This is such a bone of contention with us, we loved Scarborough in the winter, and spent a fortune on our visits. Plus we didn't know that fires only happen during 11pm and 7pm, that electrical faults that could start fires only happen in campervans/motohomes that's have people inside 🤔, as for electric vehicles, they are way behind what is suitable as a campervan/motohome or even a vehicle that could tow a caravan, can't see it coming in, in 5 years x
Hello. How are you?
Your queries are valid. We wonder if it will affect local cafes
@Stchristopherofatlantis I know a few have expressed Concerns to the council. We've just done a piece on Skipton though and that is the fault of the, motohome/campervan owners not playing by the rules, not closed YET! X
Fantastic debate vlog The government don’t like a transient population. They want to know where everyone is and what you are doing. They also would need to have at least 5k charging points built a day to have enough charging points for everyone by the deadline of zero emissions. It’s crazy 😮 thanks for starting the conversation Andrew and Claire. ❤
Hi 👋 Thanks for watching and have a great day 👍
Stay positive - enjoy our lifestyle - we will carry on . I won't be going electric - there will be alternatives coming soon - maybe hydrogen or whatever.... but keep on doing what you love doing! The sun will still come up....
Hi Grant. Thanks for watching and have a great day 👍
Your loss.
@@davidmatthews3093 EV are the biggest con it’s only the persons ego which makes them choose an Electric vehicle when electricity charges are going to go through the roof
They leave the taps open, because if there is a frost after the Hab check, the pipes can burst unless you release pressure in them.
👍👍
Just as you come into Scarborough where you had that bridge in the video you went under, there's a lovely fish and chip shop there on the left!
Thanks for sharing 👍
Excellent vlog 👌 spot on ... luv you two and the gorgeous dogs 🐕
I am sure net zero will not work,us ordinary ppl need to just say no to all the demands these governments put on us ...they seem to of forgotten that they are their to serve us.
Hello. Thanks for watching 👍
We were lucky enough to move to the seaside (Morecambe)a couple of years ago best thing ever. But still always go to the seaside for holidays in our Caravan,
Hi. A big thank you for watching 👍
Just bought a van similar to yours with a view to do the same as you had a caravan for 30 odd years but became a pain to get in and out of the driveway love your channel looking forward to our little adventure.
Hi. Thanks for watching our video 👍
Happy travels to you x
Have a great evening
I started wild/free camping in my van years ago, before it was a big thing - I saw this coming - it was inevitable. Btw, the term 'free' it's not a monetary thing. It's about being free to roam and park.
1. I think locals always viewed wild parking as 'wrong' or 'outside the box' people never cope well with people doing things outside the box. Then invariably - people moan.
2. Bad wild campers, I used to get so disheartened by some campers - they glean themselves with the term 'stealth' - some would proceed to paint the van green (camo) - dump rubbish everywhere - hang washing lines up - and over stay in spots. From this moment on - you know it's doomed.
3. When I started, my general rule was - leave it 'better' than you found it and don't stay in one spot more than a couple of nights. I used to litterally go and park almost ANYWHERE. Obviously when I say anywhere please interpret that with common sense. But it was great. I also traveled around Europe - booked no sites - just got on the ferry and went - but now even that is hard to do now - it's a different world - they want to eventually drive us off the road.
You will have nothing,
You will own the van we say,
you will go where we say.
You will use the allocation areas we say
And you will be happy.
Not only did people abuse freedom - there was a boom of motorhomes free camping. Then two things happen, restrictions go up, then local councils see a great money making scheme for parking. I'm just glad me and my family experienced true free camping before restrictions came. Our family had so much fun and adventure. These days we only go on sites and we have a caravan. We conform 😅 might even join the caravan club 😂.
But honestly free camping is FINISHED
Hi. Thanks for watching
Lovely film and a lovely couple rocking along on their travels:)
👍
The ban applies to the sale of brand new combustion engines. Non hybrid will be 2030 and 2035 for all combustion engines. Think of all the used vehicles that will be available up to then. The motorhome used market will be healthy for a long time after 2035. I think we’ll be long gone before the effects of the change will be felt. Keep on trucking Claire and Andy.
Hi. Thanks for watching our video 👍 Have a great evening
2030? That means I have another 5 or 6 years of my campervan and at my age, I may not last that long. But I feel sorry for people just starting out in life. There will be NO freedom. ALL vehicles are under attack. This is not progress, it's more like regression.
I am actually glad I'm not young anymore,
@@StravaiginHippy Don't forget that from April 2025 there's Road Tax changes that will affect everyone including EVs.
@@StravaiginHippy They're not banning your campervan, you just won't be able to buy a new one if it is ICE in 2030.
@@BusyElf Its about time EV's paid their share, those heavy EV's do far more damage to the roads, they should be paying more than an ICE vehicle of similar size.
Not just campervans but motorbikes too !
Thanks for watching
Can't see how bikes would come under this umbrella too as the emissions are near non existent. They should look at India for bad times if that's the case
And we would all be a little sadder for not having both of you 😢
That is very kind 😂😂😂
Hello. My wife has just ordered one of your lovely hats to keep my lugs warm. Early Xmas pressie. 😊
Whoop whooop
Thank you 👍👍👍👍❤️
28:05 there's always traffic backed up there, it's just way worse in summer
Thanks for watching
You have a traffic jam because of the bus lane. Designed to discourage vehicles in the town centre. This reduces footfall leading to shops closing and people shop on line or at out of town superstores. This cuts business rates going into the council that are used to run the town and it's services. This shortage of income into the council leads to increases in the domestic rates but they can't put them up too much so they have to reduce or not providecertain services . As an example Green waste collection will only take place once a month instead of weekly or (as in my area) charge you £60 a year if you want your grass cuttings taking to the tip. Rainwater grids only cleaned out every 18 mths to save on staffing but then you end up with leaves blocking drains and flooding. Public toilets have all been closed to save money / staff. Instalation of ANPR on certain roads e.g. Bus Gates to "catch" motorists to help (in some well known spots) swell the "pots" with extra cash. It just goes on and on but that's the capitalists system.
Hi. Thanks for watching and sharing this
Council's have no money .Your council tax does straight to the government .Then returned to your council but only to do what the government wants them to do . Your council must sign up to D.E.I and net zero and all the net zero BS. It is impossible for your council to go bankrupt has they don't have any money to start with .Your council is now a corporation
@@straighttalkingguy7366 Sorry but what you say is incorrect. The rates you pay go directly to the council. The Government decide every year how much to allocate to the councils by way of a "Top Up" payment. When the council is informed how much they will receive directly from the Government the councils then decide what the rate increase will be for that year but try to cut services / staff or even increase certain payments such as car parking etc to try to keep increases as low as they dare. Where once you could park for free they will install meters and make a charge to park. When you need the building inspector approval they increase the fees for such services. Applications for planning permission fees will increase etc.
I missed the Q and Answer I would of submitted a question, We love Claires red mack it makes her look very school playground. When Claire has her hair up she looks like a actor from Eastenders , Apart from that I was totally excited when I saw that dont play loud music sign, Dont park on the sea front. They call them shagg-vans . All types of blow inside ,
Do you mean Pat Butcher 😂😂😂😂
@@Stchristopherofatlantis I would say its between Danniella Westbrook who play Sam in Eastenders Rickie's wife, Before she sniffed all the coke or Patsey Palmer who was Bianca Rickie's other girl. I learnt my English like this and speak like this.

Currently there’s a petition in place regarding marine drive to reverse the decision and this at least pushed back the ban by a number of months. Signs along marine drive indicate no camper and et been 11pm and 7am (I could be wrong about the times). BUT there are no such signs in the area (the most popular part) between the skate park and water mark cafe. Local police, when I asked them, said that as long there are no signs the ban is not enforceable, a local traffic warden echoed this stance too. Neither the police nor the traffic warden could confirm any plans to put more signs up in this area. That said this was in October 2024 and things may be different now (two months on). Hope that helps.
Hi. Thankyou for taking the time to share 👍
I was at the watermark cafe yesterday in my camper and the signs do run along the length of Marine drive as I stayed there earlier this year and was thinking of doing it again but didn't wish to risk a fine
@ oh darn it!! Thanks for the update date.
Hiya both, the Ship Inn has got an outside tap to top up your tanks, it’s just on the wall beside the doorway that Claire was beside
We didn’t see this ☹️☹️ we shall know for next time 😂😂😂
You mentioned in one of your vlogs that you will be visiting Wirral at some point, what you have been highlighting in this vlog regarding parking your van overnight and places you can and cannot park rings true in New Brighton on the north coast of the Wirral, the council now prohibit overnight parking and charge extortionate fees for day parking of campervans, Parkgate, West Kirby,Hoylake and New Brighton are well woth a visit but do your homework first.
Hi. Thanks for watching and this heads up. We prefer to stay in campsites so will stay on a site in the area. Any recommendations welcome 👍
We used to love popping over to Scarborough on a Friday night after work in our moho park up in the sea life centre car park then pop into the scalby mills pub for ajar or 2 but mohos got banned from that car park so we moved on to the sea front. We always spent in the local shops and the chippy. The parking was free November to March and the shop and cafes were full. This ban will shut all these shops as car drivers buy there Costa out of town then drink it on the sea front and don’t spend anything locally. We have witnessed them throw there rubbish and poo bags near our motorhome as if it’s us leaving all the crap. So it’s now a no go for us at Scarborough. Great vid keep em coming. Oh and by the way Andy not sure if anybody told you but you had something green stuck in your teeth after eating the beans 😂😂🥦

@@Bingmid we did exactly the same! The last thing Seaside towns need is restrictions on visitors especially during off season when we came across from East Yorkshire. Great vid you two..we paid £74k for a top of the range electric Ipace Jaguar in 2022 fantastic car loved it..after 18mth we started looking at new cars we decided to go back to Jaguar and trade it in..they offered us £25k trade in saying that’s the best offer as the market has no confidence in electric cars now ..seems they forgot to mention that when we paid out £74k..and now we are back to 2 Diesel vehicles and they can stick their electric cars right up there wind tunnels..we are going to end up like the film Mad Max fighting over fuel..start stocking up on petrol Andy so you an use the new motorbike in the future🤣🤣👍🏻

Wouldn’t want swop my camper an for an electric one after watching Steve Radford (Roaming Radfords) do the first leg of his trip up to the NC 500, he had a number of issues with getting his converted Buzz charged. The infrastructure and development of electric engines needs to massively improve plus the costs need to come down. One charge cost him 27p per mile 😮
Yes we watched this last night! I’d be a nervous wreck
sounds like instavolt at 85 p per kwhr. At home I pay 9 p per kwhr overnight. Rip off and because of the rubbish range of EV's you have to charge at these rapid chargers on route. With a 650 mile range diesel, you can always fill up cheaply at supermarkets, resulting with a cost of about 14 p per mile at highway speeds.
They don't want us driving, that's the plan
Live in France, our local supermarket provides parking bays, a laundry (pay by coin) a bakery a pharmacy and a veg shop. All free.
This is awesome 👍
You’ve raised some really interesting points in this video. This should give us all concerns about how we live our lives, even weekend van folk like us!
Hi. Thanks for watching 👍👍 and commenting
As i own an old 2006 camper van my concern is what is the road tax going to be next year. i only do a few thousand miles a year.
Hi. Thanks for watching and have a great day 👍
We have an electric car for our local journeys and it is fantastic, cheap to run an fun to drive. Our Motorhome touring days are now behind us and we are sad this situation is happening. Pure Electric 3.5T campers will need to be much smaller in the future to take into account the massive weight of the battery. They may not be viable at all as useful touring vehicles for all the same reasons the EV market is struggling now. Hybrid campers may be the way to go, but a huge shift in net Zero targets will be needed for a successful transition. The current stance is untenable. Technology will solve this issue, but we are probably 20 to 30 years away from a solution.
Thanks for watching 👍
I wonder if the same screw is being applied to private aircraft and yachts etc - thought not!
