Love the content but a few constructive criticism: This set up might be decent value in a relative sense, but it would only really apply to audiophiles. For the average gamer just discovering that their Turtle Beach/SteelSeries/HyperX headset isn't the latest and greatest and is getting into the possibilities of good audio, or even a seasoned veteran with a budget, spending ~$750 on a DAC/amp combo for marginally better in-game audio would seem absolutely insane. I think budget recommendations that are far below even the DX3 Pro+ are important. I personally use the DX3 Pro+ and have asked you for a review in the comments in the past, so it's nice it's now included! Still, even I would admit that's a steep price to pay if you're an average gamer just getting into higher end audio (relatively speaking) or have a tight budget. My first audio headset was the PlayStation ones way back on ps3, then I switched to the astros a40s which were considered the best back in the day. Hello fresh, so I have an issue hearing footsteps on apex legends while using an IEM. Is it because my IEM is plug directly to my pc? do i have to buy a Dac/amp? If so what would you recommend and what are you currently using?
It depends on your IEM and what the issue may be. It’s hard for me to say, but I do notice gains over my personal on board audio chip. Even the topping dx3 pro + is a solid upgrade over my on board
@@FreshReviewsYTSo I'm currently using the Truthear x Crin Zero Blue but it's so hard for me to locate the enemy footsteps especially when mid to far, I also can't tell whether the enemy is above me or below me (on apex legends) so i was wondering if that's because I'm not using any dacs/amp and only plugged directly to pc
@@kerutako me too, so did you bought a dac/amp ? or maybe everyone’s ears are different.
@@paulkwok9523 i haven't bought anything yet because dac/amp are too pricey. I don't think ears are "that" different bcuz i can hear footsteps better when using headphones compare to using IEMs. I stopped using headphones long time ago because using it for a long time gives me head aches plus it's too hot in my country lol
Have you ever used the Beyerdynamic dt 770 pro 80ohm? If yes, what opinion do you have?
I haven’t but I have used the mmx300 which is similar I believe and I enjoyed it
@@FreshReviewsYT fresh I bought the simgot em6L and I like them, but I'm not very happy with the silicone tips and I bought some foam ones. They haven't arrived yet. Do you think it's worth upgrading to a dt700? I need something closed, I already have the HD560s but I play in the living room and I concentrate more with the closed ones
Never disappoint
fresh, would you auto eq your iems when gaming? (specificly the th zeros)
I actually don’t eq for the most part
@@FreshReviewsYT i see, was curious if it'd boost my performance. thank you!
im completely new to audio and did some research and bought the truthear x crinicle zero(blue) and was wondering whether or not I would need a dac or amp and if these would work for gaming
Not needed, but depending on your on board audio will provide a nice upgrade. Even starting with something like the dx3 pro + is nice for the budget side
They work great , but after I bought a amp/dac I saw a better improvement, it’ll fully use the potential of the truthear zero
@@Moonuhhh yea. Definitely an improvement to be had over id say 95% of all on board audio chips
@@FreshReviewsYT Thanks a lot, is there something you would recommend that'll last?
what camera lens do you have on the right :)
I believe a Sony prime but I can’t recall which one that is in the video
can anyone comment on how this might compare to iFi pro ican?
hot looking gear
Hey fresh, what do you think of the rme adi-2?
Haven’t used it yet unfortunately
do you recommend dac/amp for Simgot Em6L for gaming?
I do but it really depends on what you’re using. They sound better to me on the dx3 pro + than on board audio but all on board audio chips are different and it’s hard to say how good or bad yours might be in comparison
Love the content but a few constructive criticism:
This set up might be decent value in a relative sense, but it would only really apply to audiophiles.
For example, you can get a solid setup for
Yeah these types of videos are for trained ears or someone who’s been into audio for years. My first audio headset was the PlayStation ones way back on ps3, then I switched to the astros a40s which were considered the best back in the day.
But 900 pro x or 560s and a schiit stack or schiit hel 2 is best for entry level.
Yo, I just discovered the most expensive IEM called the Ultimate Ears Premier. These cost like $3000 and have 21 drivers both sides. Also, those are Nice looking Dac/Amp.
Beautiful right???
@@FreshReviewsYT Yessir ❤️
That's not even close to the most expensive IEM.
@@CaptnKrksNipplsindeed, not even close by a long shot
@@JOKEMMM I found it, oBravo Ra-c-cu - $12,333
My main issue with IEM is that no sound is getting through so it feels really wierd when talking on say discord. I've tried to add my mic in the mix by software but it's too much delay. Could you test product like the Audient Evo 4 that can mix the mic input into the sound you hear? Or any other solution for this
Big solution is the power source and IEM itself. Good amp dacs help compared to a wave xlr or on board audio
Can I just get the Dac? Im just rocking iems and senn 560s.
If you already have an amp to use with it yea. But no dacs need amps to power
Does the " good" sound Come from dac or amp? Or both?
Currently have a soundblaster g6 what would you recommend to upgrade to?
Using IEMs? I personally prefer the sound from the topping dx3 pro + over the sound blaster
@FreshReviewsYT yeah using the simgot em6l's I alternate between the dt990's also, what ear tips do you use on your iems? As I feel the stock em6l are a bit stiff
Just my two cents. The G6 is not a great product. Once you upgrade, you’ll see. Enjoy.
@@phanatic23608 agreed. I wasn’t a fan of the g6 or 7
Thank you both for your replies I've ordered the topping and see how it is 😊
loved the video but would be nice if u named the price for each of them (i might of missed it, if so my bad😅) keep it up fresh ❤
Yes. The prices are gone over in the customization segment
@@FreshReviewsYTshould i get a dac or portable dac for iem gaming(simgot ew200) or could i just use my soundblaster g3(ik its pretty old and bad) what do you recommend?
what is the wood type you chose?
lmao nvm thanks homie.
Walnut
looks like whale made a amp dac
you know the xmos they use?
You got a cold bro? Sounds different than usual
Lost my voice a little
@@FreshReviewsYT I see. Glad it was nothing serious
