    It is so frustrating to have one expert say you should absolutely drink coffee and lists all of the benefits of drinking coffee. Then another expert tells you that you should not drink coffee and tells you all of the negative results of drinking coffee. Whom in the world should we listen to?

      Well, as with anything there are studies on both sides of the coffee spectrum. And there are a a lot of growing, processing and influences at play too that are things to all consider. In general - coffee that most people consume is rich in chemicals, additives, flavors and is harmful to the lymphatic system. If you still want coffee - I recommend switching to this brand - I use this sometimes and recommend because it's the cleanest option avail: puritycoffee.com/?rfsn=6854966.bd35ab7 Grab 20% off with code: NHR20

      i have been struggling with problems with my lymphatic system for over 10 yrs and have slowly discovered thats what it is over time by trial and error... i am sooooo pleased to have found your channel with all of this info!
      i am obsessed with coffee so i will stop drinking it.. i was told about dandelion and have tried using a cousin's dandelion salve and jelly he makes from his organic farm but I will get some tea now 😊.. i eat dairy especially yogurt and protein shakes (both dairy) high in protein to keep my protein level high .. what do you suggest I eat to be able to keep my protein levels high? i am eating as much meat and eggs as possible ...
      i didnt know not sweating was a sign of lympathic system problems. im 56 and done with menopause and thought maybe this was why .. also i noticed maybe 20 yrs ago that a tiny bit of alcohol didnt agree w me so that was revealing as well.
      I'm so excited to take your master class.. i've been trying so hard to get and feel better after years of pain and anguish w medical community. i'm trying to get my insurance to pay for lymphedema treatement now that includes massage therapy.. i have been paying out of pocket for this and cupping w steaming for 10 yrs or more and it seems to help. i also swim 3x a week .. do you have any particular treatments or exercises you suggest to help w drainage? i currently have a sore area that feels swollen to me at right center of my clavicle and after doing research on my own i think this is a lymph blockage... my dr keeps saying he isnt finding anything in mri or xray and pain management drs just want to give me prescriptions and im not into that at all.. thank you ! 🙏🏾 thank you! i might have a chance to get my health and life back now..

    As my mom once told me, "if you rise early, exercise daily, stop eating: red meat, sugar, biscuits, cakes and bread you still probably won't live to be a hundred but it'll damn well feel like it".
    The truth is, we're all going to die one day. Everyone wznts to live a long healthy life but for the majority of us there is a balance between living longer and living healthily. Find your balance.

    • @NaturalHealthResources
      @NaturalHealthResources  Рік тому +7

      Your mom's wisdom rings true, and finding that balance is key. While there's no guaranteed formula for a long life, making healthy choices can certainly enhance our quality of life. It's about finding what works best for each of us individually. Moderation and mindful decisions, like reducing red meat, sugar, and processed foods, can contribute to our well-being.
      Living healthily doesn't solely mean longevity; it's about enjoying the journey with vitality and wellness. Quality matters as much as quantity. We're all on our unique paths, and embracing that balance that suits our individual lives and needs is the way to go.

    Edema can also be caused by varicose veins and poor circulation. The blood cannot get back to the heart properly and being on your feet in hot weather can cause swelling in the ankles.

    • @NaturalHealthResources
      @NaturalHealthResources  Рік тому +5

      @mandograssable,
      You're absolutely right! Edema, or swelling, can be caused by various factors, including varicose veins and poor circulation. When blood flow is impaired, especially in the legs, it can lead to fluid buildup and swelling in the ankles.
      In hot weather, being on your feet for extended periods can exacerbate this swelling due to increased blood pooling in the lower extremities.
      It's essential to address the underlying causes of edema and seek appropriate medical advice if you experience persistent swelling or discomfort.
      Thank you for sharing this valuable information.

    Omg! I had 16 lymph nodes removed from around my ovaries in 2017 and just now having bad lymphedema in one leg and groin area. I’ll be seeing a specialist in a few weeks for it. No one has told me to eliminate exactly what you mentioned here and I consume, daily. My biggies are dairy and coffee. 😢I already knew about the others, so starting now, those are off the table. I’ll register for your class too. Thank you!

      I'm so sorry to hear about your struggle with lymphedema, and I'm glad you're taking proactive steps to address it. It's definitely worth considering dietary changes, especially cutting out dairy and coffee, which can be triggers for inflammation. I hope the specialist you're seeing will provide you with helpful guidance and support.

    As someone who has auffered with lymphodema in my legs for at least ten years, and struggled with weight, swelling, water rentention for most of my life, I can honestly say that this stuff works. I'm going to make these chamges one at a time and work them into my routine, someone mentioned about coffee being the reason I'm struggling to lose weight and I've gone from ten cups a day to about 1 or 2 at the most, and literally overnight I can feel the difference. I don't mind decaf. Now it's time for the sweeteners. They can go, switching to water and fruit infusion instead, I'm going to be sad to see dairy go but it's going to be worth it, I've always been big but had lots of energy and really struggle with my weight, metabolism and swelling, I think I'm learning the cause of many of my problems.
    Thank you so much for this, I've taken notes and will work in the changes over the next few months. I can't wait to be healthier.

      Thank you for sharing your experience, and I'm genuinely glad to hear that you're finding positive changes already. It's wonderful that you're taking these steps to improve your health and well-being.
      Reducing coffee consumption, transitioning to water and fruit infusion, and being willing to make adjustments like cutting out sweeteners and dairy can indeed make a significant impact, especially if they align with your body's needs and goals. Remember, it's a journey, and making changes gradually is a great approach, allowing your body to adjust and embrace healthier habits.
      Your determination and commitment to improving your health are inspiring. Stay positive, and remember that progress may have its ups and downs, but it's all part of the process. I'm here to support you in any way I can.
      Feel free to reach out if you have more questions or need further guidance as you work towards your goal of better health. I'm cheering for you, and I can't wait for you to experience the positive impact of these changes. Keep up the great work!

Tried plethora of treatment including those tormenting pressure socks which just transfer swelling, and are more painful that edema itself for me. doc's were perplexed. For recent infection, was prescribed doxycycline by a doctor for infection. Side effect was that Edema also went away quickly, infection not so fast. Edema has never returned. YOU MUST TRY THIS!!!

      Coconut and avocado oil may both contain plant sterols because they come from seeds. I use both, so I am disappointed that that causes a statin-like affect and can raise blood pressure. I wonder if it is about moderation, though. Since olive oil is often sabotaged with canola oil, the whole oil thing is really frustrating to me now. I wonder if macadamia nut oil is considered a “seed” oil. This should all be simpler🤯. There is a Dr. Mason on UA-cam who discusses some of these things, but I don’t know if he is actually integrative. It feels like he is one of those that is beginning to speak out, yet in a safe way by pointing to studies, not that all studies can be trusted.

      Thank you for reaching out to me with your question about Lipedema. Lipedema is a chronic condition that affects the legs and arms, causing swelling and pain. While there is no known cure for Lipedema, there are several treatment options that can help manage the symptoms and improve quality of life.
      In terms of updated suggestions, there have been some recent developments in the field of Lipedema research. One promising approach is a combination of manual lymphatic drainage, compression therapy, and exercise. This can help reduce swelling and improve lymphatic flow, which is often impaired in people with Lipedema.

      What? Where did you get that idea, do tell.
      Lipedema & lymphedema can co-exist.
      Lymphedema will accompany late stage lipedema.
      Lipidema occurs in about 11% of women. It is inherited in autosomal dominant fashion with hormonal influences. Men rarely have lipedema .
      Lymphedema is much more common. It may be local, usually caused by trauma or other local problem. Or it can be generalized, due to heart disease, kidney disease, nutritional issues, low protein levels, etc.

    What is your stance on Organic Soy Milk? If a no, what non-dairy milk is best?
    I could make soy milk from organic soybeans, but it is quite a process. Thoughts?

    • @NaturalHealthResources
      @NaturalHealthResources  2 місяці тому +1

      Hi Tkarlmann,
      The debate around organic soy milk is complex. Some studies suggest it can be a healthy alternative to dairy milk, while others raise concerns about potential negative effects.
      Here's a breakdown of the key points:
      Environmental impact: Organic soy production can have a lower environmental impact than conventional methods
      If you're looking for a non-dairy milk alternative, here are some options:
      Almond milk: Low in calories and fat, but can be high in sugar if sweetened.
      Oat milk: Creamy texture and high in fiber.
      Rice milk: Sweet and mild-flavored, but can be high in carbohydrates.
      Coconut milk: Rich and creamy, but can be high in saturated fat.

      @@NaturalHealthResources If by "Potential negative effects" (of soy milk), are you referring to the plant estrogen in Soy Milk? I think that argument is faulty. One I respectfully disagree with is protein. And this coming from a 47-year weightlifter no less. The body doesn't require protein "per se" but rather the constituents of protein, amino acids. Veggies, fruits, berries, melons, etc contain amino acids. We just need to eat a wide variety to obtain them all. This isn't to say that we need to avoid our favorite proteins all together, but rather to cut way back on them as the human body is not designed to consume lots of acid ash, acidic, acidifying, dead, cooked, denatured animal flesh. Cooking alone destroys the integrity of these foods and denudes them of their nutritional values. Dr. Robert Morse is 100% against all proteins and he has been healing people for 50-years using only fruits and occasional vegetables, ie, salad. I do eat some beef, chicken, eggs and fish because I love them and don't want to cut them completely out, but I have cut way back due to multiple ailments and illnesses obtained from eating them too frequently and in too great a proportion over the years. We need mostly fruits, melons and berries for optimal health with small portions of veggies and protein if we so desire. Here is Dr. Morse speaking on the subject. - Dr. Robert Morse on Protein, Amino Acids, Non-Duality & Duality Consciousness. ua-cam.com/video/Ij7pUPQGUDc/v-deo.html

      Hi Rosemarie,
      It's understandable that your mom wants to maintain bone health, but the milk might be contributing to the swelling. Let's find some alternatives.
      For calcium: Try fortified plant-based milk (like almond, soy, or oat), leafy green vegetables (kale, spinach), tofu, or fortified orange juice.For reducing swelling: Encourage her to drink plenty of water (to flush out excess sodium), limit salty foods, and elevate her legs when resting.
      It's also important to address the underlying cause of the swelling. Has she seen a doctor to rule out any medical conditions? you can book a consultation with me for your mom bit.ly/3EmExdU

      It's important to be mindful of your dietary choices, especially if you're experiencing swelling in your ankles and feet. Excessive coffee consumption, high dairy intake, and too much salt can contribute to fluid retention and swelling. @dragonchi26 • 20 hours ago
      Hello! I appreciate your questions about reducing swelling and the role of dairy, including plain Greek yogurt. When it comes to managing swelling, focusing on an anti-inflammatory diet can be beneficial. Foods rich in antioxidants, omega-3 fatty acids, and hydration can all play a role in reducing inflammation.
      Consider incorporating foods like leafy greens, berries, fatty fish (like salmon), turmeric, ginger, and nuts into your diet. These choices can contribute to a more balanced and anti-inflammatory eating plan.
      As for plain Greek yogurt, it's true that it's a good source of protein and probiotics. However, for some individuals, dairy can contribute to inflammation. If you're considering including Greek yogurt, observe how your body responds. If it suits you well and doesn't trigger any discomfort, it can certainly be a part of a healthy diet.
      Remember, individual responses to foods vary, and it's always a good idea to listen to your body. If you're concerned about inflammation or have specific dietary goals, consulting a registered dietitian or healthcare professional can provide tailored guidance.
      Thank you for seeking information to support your well-being. Best wishes on your journey towards a healthy lifestyle!

Brown rice is generally better due to its higher fiber and nutrient content. Hope this helps! 😊🍚🌱

      @NaturalHealthResources  Рік тому +2

      Hello @pamc9723!
      I understand your concern about swelling in your right leg. There are several dietary tips that may help reduce swelling:
      Reduce Sodium Intake: Lowering your salt intake can help reduce water retention, which may contribute to swelling. Avoid processed foods and try to use herbs and spices to flavor your meals instead of salt.
      Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water throughout the day to support kidney function and help flush out excess fluids.
      Potassium-Rich Foods: Incorporate potassium-rich foods like bananas, oranges, potatoes, spinach, and avocados into your diet. These foods can help balance electrolytes and reduce water retention.
      Magnesium-Rich Foods: Include magnesium-rich foods like nuts, seeds, leafy greens, and whole grains. Magnesium may help with muscle relaxation and may have a mild diuretic effect.
      B12 and D3 Sources: Include foods rich in vitamin B12 (such as eggs, meat, and dairy) and vitamin D3 (such as fatty fish and fortified foods) to support overall health.
      Elevate Your Leg: Elevating your leg when sitting or lying down can help reduce swelling by allowing fluid to drain away from the area.
      Compression Garments: Consider using compression stockings or sleeves to help reduce swelling in the affected leg.
      Weight Management: Gradual weight loss, if needed, can help reduce stress on your legs and improve overall circulation.

    I’m getting weaker as each day that passes emotionally, mentally and someti 8:06 8:06 8:06 8:06 8:06 8:06 8:06 8:06 feet & 8:06 legs burn and my feet go

    I consume dairy daily including my own homemade kefir. I have no retention from dairy, no mucus issues.
    However, salt, for me, is a bad trigger for retention. I also am hyper sensitive to wheat and refined sugars (love Stevia and Monk fruit, no issues with these). Haven't drank alcohol in a very long time, but can confirm, it was a horrible trigger for me too.
    Also drink coffee nearly daily (in moderation) and I make it at home. I don't buy coffeeshop drinks. Coffee doesn't cause issues for me either. Some days I swap to tea. Again, no issues, same no retention regardless of coffee, tea, seltzer, plain water, etc. Just matters that I drink enough (but not too much) water.
    Processed foods are also high in sulfites (and salt). Some folks are allergic to sulfites and can cause a host of issues.
    Dandelion is a strong diuretic. Please do not drink that without talking to your doctor first! Most especially if you're already taking a prescription diuretic (Lasix, Spironolactone, etc.).
    A high protein diet is hard on your kidneys, again, work with your doctor or dietician before making drastic decisions about your macros. For my particular health issues, a true keto diet would put me in the hospital (at best).

I use Himalayan salt or Sea Salt or Fleur de Sel salt but mostly Himalayan my fave is that better? If your symptoms persist or worsen despite using over-the-counter products, it's a good idea to consult with a dermatologist for personalized advice and treatment options. They can assess your skin condition and recommend suitable skincare products or medications tailored to your needs.
      In the meantime, try to avoid scratching the affected area to prevent further irritation and discomfort. I hope these tips help, and that you find relief for your skin soon! Take care.

    I cut down my red wine consumption to just 3 6oz. glasses per week. Cut out all dairy and bread, started using only celtic sea salt, no fructose, no sugar, no sweets, no processed meats and my leg/foot swelling went down in about 8 days. However, I did not cut out my 1 cup of morning java. So I'm sticking with my 1 cup of morning java for now, until I see any return symptoms.

      @NaturalHealthResources  2 місяці тому

      Hey @lizavaz3042, swelling in the calves can sometimes be managed with specific exercises, but it’s important to first identify the underlying cause. Gentle exercises like calf raises, ankle circles, and stretching can help improve circulation. Elevating your legs and staying hydrated might also reduce swelling. However, if the swelling persists or is accompanied by other symptoms, it’s best to consult with a healthcare professional for personalized advice. Hope you find some relief and healing soon!

      @user-so4ib3bx7i,
      Of course, I'd be happy to provide some general advice on what to eat for better health. Keep in mind that individual dietary needs can vary,
      For a healthy and balanced diet, consider including the following:
      1. **Vegetables:** Aim to fill half your plate with a variety of colorful vegetables. They are rich in essential nutrients and antioxidants.
      2. **Fruits:** Include a variety of fruits for natural sweetness and vitamins. Berries, citrus fruits, apples, and bananas are great choices.
      3. **Whole Grains:** Opt for whole grains like brown rice, quinoa, oats, and whole wheat bread for fiber and sustained energy.
      4. **Lean Proteins:** Choose lean sources of protein such as poultry, fish, beans, lentils, tofu, and low-fat dairy products.
      5. **Healthy Fats:** Incorporate sources of healthy fats like avocados, nuts, seeds, and olive oil in moderation.
      6. **Hydration:** Stay well-hydrated with water throughout the day.
      7. **Limit Processed Foods:** Minimize processed and sugary foods, as well as foods high in unhealthy fats and sodium.
      8. **Portion Control:** Be mindful of portion sizes to avoid overeating.
      Remember, small changes over time can lead to significant improvements in your overall health. If you have any specific health concerns or dietary restrictions, consult with me personalized guidance.
      Wishing you the best on your journey to better health!

    I wish I could follow this advice, but basically what I heard was "Stay away from poor people food & eat only rich people food" 😅 Plus I thought I was doing great by switching from white sugar to splenda. What am I supposed to sweeten tea with? Maybe I can at least do that if I at least know what to look for. UGH now I'm more confused than ever 😓

    • @NaturalHealthResources
      @NaturalHealthResources  Рік тому +1

      I totally understand your concern! Healthy eating doesn't have to be exclusive to any group, and there are budget-friendly ways to make nutritious choices. When it comes to sweetening tea, consider options like honey, stevia, or even a small amount of maple syrup. These can be healthier alternatives to refined sugar and may align better with your dietary goals. The key is finding what works for you and your budget. Don't worry; you're not alone in navigating this, and it's okay to make gradual changes that fit your lifestyle. 😊🍯🍁
