Hey! Just a tip: When you use a chrome powder, it will look cloudy/foggy if u put it on the sticky layer. If you want to achieve a more mirror-like result, after you have the color on your nail, put on a thin layer of non-wipe top coat, cure it for 35-40 sec. (cure it almost fully) and then rub the chrome powder in, lightly brush off the excess powder and use a top coat.

Hi! Do you have to cure it after rubbing the chrome powder in? When you say foggy, wdym? Because her nails look amazing and I don’t think she mentioned doing this?
@@rinitruong Hi! Personally, I don't cure after, I just cure for 60 seconds when I put my top coat on.
I think that her nails does look good, I just wanted to give this tip because she used a different technique than a lot of nail techs and I do.
By foggy, I mean that most chrome powders have a mirror-like finish, you can almost see your face in it if you look at it, and they are smooth and shiny looking even before top coat. Just like for examle the silver mirror chrome powder, but in this case, the powder is just giving a white shine to your nails, not a color.
On the channel NAILS FRS there is a Hailey Bieber nails video where you can see how perfect the powder is applied and how clean it is.
If you use a chrome powder on a sticky layer it will slip and won't be dense enough to create the chrome effect.

I wanted to ask tho, if you are using two layers of top coat (one semi cured for the chrome powder to stick to, plus one final coat), do you find that it makes your press-ons super inflexible?? I accidently put two tops coats on a set and they are so hard I'm worried I'm not going to be able to apply them to my natural nails!

For the people that want to save money.Just use shiny eyeshadow and top it with clear nailpolish. ✨️
highlighter is better cause the consistency is lighter and it’s not “full coverage” it’s just reflective pigments

I love this. My daughter just got hers done at a salon only a week ago. 5 of them are off and we are on a break so she’s not even in school being super active in sports. How long do these last approx with normal wear and tear? Even if they did last a week it’s way cheaper than the salon. ❤😂😂😂😂

If you're looking for a polish that does exactly that I have a recommendation. The more than nude nail polish from catrice in the shade where's the seashore. It's a pearly white nail polish with a green reflex. It's not a full coverage nail polish but rather a jelly polish to give the nails a natural touch of colour to suit all skintones and make your nails look like your nails but better kind of formula. But as I mentioned it is a more pearly nail polish.

With how often you do your nails, be sure to use SPF on your hands when using UV lamps protect against skin cancer and photodamage/aging.
or you can use uv/led gloves that have the same properties they fight against. I love them since I do my own gel x nails because the work like magic!

As long as you use gel polish or a no-wipe gel top coat, yes :)
Hi, your nails turned out amazing but to get the full effect of the chrome, you're supposed to rub it on top of a no wipe top coat. The sticky layer of gel polish isn't what you're supposed to rub the chrome powder on, it's supposed to look like chrome, not shimmer
this is inaccurate both method can be used and they both work the same. A “non wipe top coat” produced the same sticky layer as a gel colour it just depends on how adhesive that sticky layer is/ the chrome powder used.
No wipe top does not have a sticky layer so it won't stick🤷🏻♀️

Nah they are right. To get a chrome colour you use non wipe top coat but its not necessary like
you need the sticky coat for the chrome to stick to the nails. also these nails are more pearlescent than chrome

you're not suppose to use it on sticky lair, you use it on a no wipe top coat, otherwise it doesn't look mirror (pearl) it looks like shimmer

I don't know why but the way your hand goes into the UV light in 2x speed is cracking me up, it looks like a stop-motion car parking in a garage lol idk what's wrong with me
Whenever I use UVLED lamp my fingers turn super dark it stays on for 5-6 days please guide me what to do. I thought it's the problem with my lamp i tried 4-5 different lamps but it's the same my fingers turn a couple of shades dark what should I do💔
My lamp is from the same brand as shown in the video it's 48W or 60W
It’s because it’s UV light which does affect your skin too. Some ppl wear fingerless gloves when doing their nails OR you can put on some sunblock before doing your manicure to protect your skin (and in your case protect against the skin going dark like that)
So I do everything I’m supposed to, but my nails still pop off. The longest they have stayed on is 5 days. I’m not sure what it is. Is it because I need nails with a deeper curve/apex? Or is it because I use hot water too often? Idk. Help 😂
Ok so, if you a flat nail bed go with a flat nail tip. If you have a nail bed with an apex use a nail tip with an apex like how you usually do, now your nail longevity can also go with how often you use your hands for work you may need a shorter nail length. Always use primer and dehydrator as well as not putting your nail too close to the cuticle because that can cause lifting. also make sure you do a nail test bye lightly banging your nail against surfaces to see if their good enough to last. If not cure for a longer time. Thats all the tips I know that make my nails last for a few weeks. You can always look at gel x tutorials too!
