Nail tech here. I love your videos. Amazing. When using apres like systems, you can not fully paint the nail and then put them on. It does not matter how long you cure it for, the gel will never fully cure. You can only pre paint the extensions if your doing French looks. Apres also makes a sensitive gel now, that has no hema in it.
good to know! i already tried the sensitive gel one from apres and still had an allergy sadly😩
@@machanncheese you can still do it if you want but just cure it long enough
omg, I learned this the hard way after doing a glow in the dark nail set & omg it was my proudest nails…. then the apres wouldn’t cure😩 but i’m very glad for this comment bc i was about to try it again. Thank you!!
@@gay9600 sadly that’s not accurate. Due to the paint on top blocking the still liquid gel underneath from direct UV/LED light contact it will not cure. No matter the duration.
For this same reason dark colours should always be applied super thinly so as to cure all the way through.
@@norap.9663 I guess it depends coz I do it all the time but make sure to fully cure the side though
Personal experience: When I am soaking off my nails I usually leave a thin layer of base coat gel on to protect my natural nails from breaking it. And leave my natural nails for about a week or two before I start to do the next set.🥰🥰🥰
Romans 10:9-10, 13 (KJV) That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
John 3:16 (KJV) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Thank you for this tip. Always wanted to know how often you should do this. No one ever talks about that
hey hey! not a certified professional (yet) but I've been doing my own nails for over 5 years now (hard gel, acrylic, gel x, etc) and my suggestion for you since you do nail content is to get a PEEL OFF base coat.
you apply it after cuticle work and before the gel (don't sand your natural nails in this case) and that way they will easily pop off with some nail oil and wood sticks.
ofc this is for situations where you want to change nail looks every day. this way u won't be sanding the nail plate every time and taking off natural and precious layers of nail for no reason (which as microscopic as they are they still r being sanded off) and you don't have to soak the nails off with pure acetone (which also is very damaging to your nails and cuticles and overall skin of the hands with the frequency that you are doing it)
i hope it helps 💕
love your videos!
My nails used to be very very weak and they would break all the time, but then i started using a strengthening topcoat especially the keratin yellow one works so great. Apply one coat each day and you will see results, also use jojoba oil on them so they learn to bend and not snap if and accident were yo happen, THIS LITTERALY SAVED MY NAILS!

as a person who doesnt wear nail polish nor worn fake nails in a year u make me want to do my nails now lol your videos are so addicting to watch! i love them! the nail videos of yours are my fave!
Genetically I am blessed with thin nails that grow wide. The only time I was able to grow my nails was during quarantine when I didn't have to do much with my hands. A good cuticle oil & keeping your hands out of water as much as possible helped the most!
And yes, prep is 100% everything when keeping on nails for 2-3 weeks.
I have fell absolutely in love with encapsulation. It started when I began watching longhairprettynails so anything dealing with capping is for meeeee lol.
your nail videos are literally my favorite. thank you. looking forward to your nail care video.
OMG those are literally GORGEOUS!!!! I need to try this ASAP!
my favorite set you’ve done!
literally love your nail art looks ! 🤩
Currently soaking off my nails. Can’t wait to try these next. 😊
I am constantly entertained when watching every single one of your videos. 💕
Omg the thing abt the contact dermatitis shed some light on my issue. I recently started getting small blisters under my skin from doing my nails and I was so confused. Thx so much for explaining it tooo :)
They’re so pretty in the sunlight too 🌸😍🌻
Hope you’re feeling better! Love all your content!🫶🏼💋💕
I love binge watching your nail videos!! 💖🥰💖
I was so excited to see how you did theseee
you’re spoiling us with all these nail videos!
Oh. My. Gosh. I saw these on insta and now I'm sooo excited to see the video!! 🤩
I am Happy I found your UA-cam videos, I also have tried so many ways to fix my nails, I went to a salon and they destroyed my nails and for that reason it inspired me to learn how to do Nails and IBD is the only thing that worked for me as well, I have been watching your videos and wanted to say Thank you for taking the time to help other's like me to learn more, and I look forward to watching more of your tutorials, Thanks again, Miss Marlee 🤗
Beautiful! Love them!
Wow! It is sooo pretty!
I also have super thin nails, I just always have a builder type gel on them now. Beautiful set!
Luv u Kayli your nail vids are the videos that inspired me to do my own nails 💕
Love these nail vids so much !
i lit uppp when i saw you posted! love you kayli 💗😍💗
These are soo pretty
This is so pretty omggggggg 😍😍😍
when i’m trying to grow my nails, i always oil them often (they always feel strong after), and always have them painted cause the polish sort of creates a protective layer. also i file them often to make sure the corners don’t chip and stuff. also always use a base coat!!
AHH I LOVE THESE NAILS
Hi! I'm a natural nail gel girl, and you asked for tips so I hope they can help.
First, Do not put hard gel on your natural nails. You're not really supposed to put any gel directly on your natural nails. You can't soak off hard gel so every time you remove your nails you are making your nails thinner and thinner. If you put a base coat between the hard gel and your nail then it won't hurt them so bad.
Use soak off gel. There are plenty of products that can provide hard durable extensions without being a hard gel product. If you like builder gel you can buy soak off builder but I prefer polygel.
Never have naked nails. If your nails are currently in a brittle state they will break if you leave them naked. I'm recovering from being overfiled at a nail salon (they used a mandrel bit on my nail beds) so the tips of my nails are incredibly thin (like if I press on them too much they'll be uncomfortable) so if I want to keep my length and protect the nail I at least put a coat or two of base and top coat. Nails no matter how damaged will grow. So if you're maintaining that growth and making sure it won't break you'll have longer nails. That's pretty much all I have since you're already moisturizing well.... good luck!
gorgeous nails!!!
I’ve been waiting for this video forever if feels like!
really pretty set! it gives me Bridgerton vibes
Your videos are the best on youtube, in my opinion! I love that your designs are more... designed. Lol that doesn't make sense. But I mean is that other channels are mostly just sticking as many huge gemstones or other stuff as possible onto really long nails. There's nothing wrong with that, but that's all I can find! I, personally, love to actually paint cute little designs onto my nails, add little stickers, or do more encapsulated stuff like in this video. I love your videos! You're so talented!
I typically give my natural nails a break from any manipulation for about 3-4 weeks and use a gel or regular top coat to help prevent breakage. Along with applying nail oil daily helps to strengthen the nail bed :)
girl I was Just crying you madera my Day 🤗
By far my favz
Omg I love ur nail vids 🤩💗
Oooo I love your hair 😍 and the nails are cute! I will definitely try next!
you're the cutest
love your nails✨
YESSS so pretty I am obsessed! also ily!!!!
First! U are sooooooooo pretty! Also all your nail looks are STUNNING 😍🤩! ily!
Awesome video! Got me inspired 😍
Aaaaah love them
I wish more people would have seen this 2 years ago! So many have developed allergies like you did! I still come across creators that do this
these are gorgeous kayli!!! prob my favorite set you've done 😍 they're so stunning and summery 💅🏻🌼
You nails are looking so good
hi love what ure doing !! a little advice from someone who also has naturally brittle nails, when you use a dehydrator you could use only a tiny amount and avoiding touching the cuticles/skin as its a pretty strong chemical for someone who might change their set often for content ! nature's bounty has pretty good hair skin nails vitamin for a cheaper option does not completely toughen my nails but it helped my nail lifting from the nail bed itself :) thank you for the lovely tutorial !!
use poly gels as a hardener gel it is so much stronger than the usual hard thick viscosity gels salons use alth poly gels r for extending the nails it still works like magic
This is amazing. 😍😍 i bought everything you reccomended last night and going my first set this sunday when it all gets here! Now im mad i can't do these as my first set because im too im patient to wait any longer for this stuff to come 😅
I’m going to try ibd hard gel. Just wondering if you bought the same gel kaylie is usining in this video. If you so did the product work? And did you get allergies? i thought id ask before buying. Just trying to do my own research on ibd hard gel because there isn’t that many UA-cam reviews on it for gel extensions.
Love your nail videos Kaylie
Amoo tus vídeos
I love your videos ♡
Omg so cuteeee
This is wonderful
I love this
Biosil is AMAZING for hair and nails. IT MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE!!!
I recommend Aimeili builder base but the hema free one. It’s a little square bottle!
O know this is a nail video, but this hair ????????? Perfect
So pretty
Omg I gave myself contact dermatitis and cried all day because I thought I was never going or be able to do nail stuff again but honestly the pain is worth it
Amazing 🤩
BEAUTIFUL I JUST MIGHT HAVE TO TRY STILETTO STYLE
Hi! I have a question. I always mess up the cuticle area and I was wondering if this may fix it: my idea was to put the tips not fully down to the cuticle but just a tad up so the edge of the tip is more 'free' to file away the spills and then just cover the weird placed bump with colored gel polish because this is quite thick and will not show the ridge!
graduate from cosmetology/beauty school here, I have actually commented on one of her videos to try to spread awareness on how dangerous it is to cut/bleed your cuticles. you risk getting an infection, if you have medical problems its very dangerous for bacteria to get there and you can also permanently ruin your nail matrix.(1)
a solution would be to just push back the cuticles back if you're not so familiar with cutting them or use a cuticle cream and lightly remove them with a nail pusher. make sure you clean any dead skin off of your nail plate and you're ready to go. a HUGE mistake that she does is literally shoving the gel x tips into the cuticle and that is very dangerous, as I mentioned in my previous comment you can ruin your nail matrix and its not good at all as you also risk getting an infection. I suggest you to do what you thought of already just to be safe,( stick the tips slightly away from your cuticle and gently file them off later) I hope this helps
Yes this is a good idea! The nail tips don’t have to go all the way down to your cuticle. I watch a lot of Korean nail girls on UA-cam and several of them do that! You can either cover the little empty space with gel polish, hard gel, or builder gel. You can file the nail tip a little so it’s more flush with your natural nail, or not. Depends on the thickness of the tips. But yeah, good idea! 👍🏼☺️
@ariadni5531 you seem like a good person to ask this question to... I'm new to this nail stuff. I always wondered with the tips... are you supposed to have them next to the cuticle or do you insert them lightly under the cuticle? I hope this makes sense. According to what you wrote previously, no, you don't want to put them actually under the cuticle.
Beautiful
dudeee yesss the pinkyyyyy is a life saver frrrr. love that little shit
I know it’s about the nails but this hair is fire on you!
This video is exactly what i was looking for😍 thank you for posting this. They came out beautiful! How long did they last?
Ok these have ta b my favorite nails tht u have done
okay, I struggle with short, thin, brittle nails and the best thing I can offer is making your own mixture of oils! I love the trader joes oils to make my own cuticle/nail oil. I use a mix of jojoba oil, tea tree oil, and vitamin e oil. I mix it up and use a q tip to apply to my cuticles each night and it helped soo much! I thought I had tried every commercial nail strengthener, lengthener, and others. I love your videos and I hope that helps!
thank you so much for this!! just wondering, but does it also work the same if you just layer the oils on top of each other instead of mixing them together? :)
@@dream-zk4xl yes it should work just the same!!
@@avery.laur22 okay that's great!! thank you so muchh :))
It's a pretty new day
TYSM for the tip! I will try not to make that mistake.(I’m a but impatient so this is why I’m thanking you)
Oh she said boom ! Back to back videos ! 😍☺️ love it ! I do my own nails as well as using gel x nails I use the Kiara Sky gelly tips you should try them I really enjoy them !
Alternate gel x with a week of strengthener only. My nails were so thin and bendy and this has helped tremendously! And I’ve finally gotten better about not using my nails as tools. 🥳🎉
Can you explain what you mean by this ive never heard of jt
My nails have been surprisingly strong (knock on wood) with soaking them off. Have you tried tapping your nails? Not your finger tips but you’re actual nails? Like tap them until the lanula starts to ache, it stimulates blood flow right where the nail grows from and helps strengthen the nail.
You look so pretty luv 🥰🥰🥰🥰
hi!
try out the brand lights laqure! they have an amazing cuticle oil, leave on nail replenisher+strengthener, and non alcoholic acetone and its not even overpriced at all i love them sm theyve helped me so much i think they could help you too!
The contact dermatitis should subside after the initial flare. Probably in the future, if the product is fully cured it shouldn’t cause another contact dermatitis flare (which isn’t necessarily always a full blown allergy, rather your skin being sensitive to specific compounds or chemicals in cosmetics). All mail enhancement products - whether acrylic, gel, hard gel , poly gel or dip - cure to be a form of plastic. Once fully cured, the gel you’re using shouldn’t cause the same level of skin irritation as before.
Beautiful nails btw and you as well 🤪🥰
hiiii i love your channel
Thanks for all of the tips. Nice nail set!
My nails were exactly like yours for the longest time and it might sound crazy but the only thing that changed them was prenatal vitamins!
Perfect
Taking cold pressed, raw cod liver oil drastically helped my hair, skin and nails!! I use the brand Rosita, I swear by it. Pricey but worth it
I second this!!
Your case about contact dermatitis scared me so much I always cure extra.
You can try dip nails! It makes your nails stronger and less likely to break. It helps me, my nails are thin and always break and dip helps them grow a little bit. It’s stronger than gel too. Hope you have a good day:)
She has a few videos on dip nails already, they look super cool! But I think she switched to Gel X just because it was easier and faster
i had nails last weeks without primer, and just use isopropyl alcohol as dehydrator!!! i don’t notice a difference with or without
Nail tech. I love your video
I’m going to try this and I’m going to see if top coating the free edge on the back side will give and even translucent look ?
I had a really bad headache while watching this video… I forgot to drink water all day today…. It’s the little things!!! Also I love your videos they are so inspirational
Question for application! I have very flat nail beds and I know I have to fill more gel in to make sure it fits my natural nail. But no matter what I do, I seem to loose my apex. Can you explain a little more how much pressure you put when applying? Or do you just let gravity do the work? Love your videos!
I’m obviously not her, but I can help! So you’re just supposed to put the right amount of pressure to make sure the gel spreads to the tip of your natural nail (you’re really going to have to figure out what the right amount of gel would be through trial and error) and you want to make sure the sides of the gel-x nail are basically lined up straight with your skin on the sides of your nail. By doing that, it should almost look seamless and the gel-x nail should basically look like that is your nail. I hope that makes sense! It’s hard to describe without showing, haha.
How do you remove your gel x nails? I love all your nail videos and I’d really love to see how you take these off!
great video as always! adheresion is not a word btw, it's either adhere or adhesion :)
omgggggg i didnt even know that about contact dermitities idk whats its called but good to know
I loveeeee your videos!!! So entertaining and you inspire me to do my own nails 💅
My nails used to be very very weak and they would break all the time, but then I started to take pills of biotin (vitamin for hair growth). And now, they are stronger. Good look!
I learned from a nail tech ( I'm not one) that a gel overlay will help you strengthen and grow your nails.😊
I’ve never met anyone with the same exact name as my daughter!! Kayli Anne is her name! Also beautiful work!
