INGREDIENTS
6 to 7 medium to large fresh jalapeño peppers
8 oz block (227 g) cream cheese
4 oz (113.5 g) white cheddar cheese
1/3 cup all purpose flour
2 large eggs
1 cup Panko bread crumbs
1/2 cup plain or seasoned bread crumbs
cooking oil for frying

Easy Cream Cheese Filled Jalapenos
My granddaughter showed me a great trick since I can’t eat eat real spicy 🥘 food. After you slice and clean out the jalapeños she rinses them and puts them in ice water for 30-45 minutes. This greatly reduces the hotness and I can enjoy them with everyone else 🥑🌶
Cindy Carr; this works for onions too. So if you want raw onions uncooked in a salad, soak them in water for a time and they will be much calmer.

Thank you! I am going to use your method to try stuffed habanero peppers. Jalapeno doesn't have enough heat and mild habanero peppers sound great!

In response to Irene (I think). YES! I was thinking hers needed at least minced green onion a little of each white and green.parts. Some recipes call for cumin and bacon crumbles but I can do without those. And I’m so crazy about jalapeños I’d chop up one extra one and put that in the filling, too.
@@bridgetosomewhere8635 chopping up an extra jalapeno and mixing it with the cheese filling is such a smart idea. i think that would be a great place to use pickled jalapenos-- that way you get two different kinds of jalapeno flavors in every bite.

I like the freezing tip. I’m going to try that. Another good tip is to first lightly score or scratch the surface of the jalapeños to help keep the breading from falling off. I use a lemon zester

I love jalapeño poppers!!! 😍❤️ I make mine with fried chorizo and shredded cheese mixed together then stuffed in the peppers and wrapped in bacon- grill or bake them. So good!!!
Chorizo is really spicey. Bacon for those who can't take it. Choose double smoked, thick cut. Homemade bacon can be available at a good butcher's.
Oh wow that's a great idea! I just got some vegan chorizo I'm wanting to try and I'm going to give this a whirl in my Jalapeno poppers tonight. Do you just mix yours into the cheese filling or is there some trick to it?
Made these yesterday for a pool day and they were a huge hit!!!! I was in a rush so ended up baking them off at 425 for 10 min and 350 for 5 - perfect browned exterior and melty cheesy inside with no running. This is my new favorite way to cut jalapeños for making the poppers!

I LOVE these with the onion amd chive flavored cream cheese and a little crumbled crispy bacon mixed in the cheese mixture. Yummy!!
I'm from the uk and a couple of dishes I'll be going ok only in america lol but I have to say your lemon pepper wings had me hunting high and low for lemon pepper during this covid crisis and now I'm popping out now for some jalapenos thanks a bunch for the good food ideas. if any body reads this a quick tip go to your local supermarket bakery at the end of the day when they mark down the cobs loaves and baguettes as you can get them dirt cheap blitz them up tray the crumbs up and every time you finish using your oven pop the tray of crumbs in allow to dry for 80c us I get a kilo plus of bread crumbs

@@shellymarie5328 that's what I do clean them first give them a nice sear on all sides but not to long or they get to soft, just want to sear it so they soften a bit, then I stuff and fry👌
Can't wait to try them. I tried to copy a stuff jalapeno recipe from a favorite restaurant where they
used borsin cheese instead of cream cheese. Their breading was a lighter texture, but I think I'd
prefer yours instead & can't wait to try it. They used a black bean puree for dipping them but what
I used was pepper jelly and it was great, a little hot, but the flavors worked well together. Breading
was the tricky part for me, and until watching your video, I didn't know that freezing them was the

We have a bunch of Jalapeños growing in our garden so this is a great idea for what to do with them!
Our family LOVE Jalapeños with cream cheese and wrapped in bacon (easier to slice jalapeños in half and then clean out seeds, stuff with cream cheese and wrap with bacon and hold together with toothpicks. Ready for grill❤️ Our family get togethers requires 32 jalapeños poppers, so we prepare them a day or two ahead & refrigerate, ready for grill. When cleaning out seeds, best to clean outdoors in patio or in doors with window opened

I do a variation wrapped in bacon and then broiled. I usually add brown sugar to the cream cheese, or a slice of mango. The spicy/salty/smoky/sweet combo is amazing!
I do that same variation with the bacon and broiling. Much easier and less mess, and a little healthier than coating and deep frying. However, I do push a little smokey cocktail weiner into the cream cheese before wrapping with bacon. I like your version with the brown sugar and/or piece of mango.

Omg I love jalapeño poppers. I do prefer some kind of shredded cheese in mine. Cream cheese is delicious but something about the shredded cheese all melty is just perfection.

I love poppers. I usually cut them in half, fill them with cheese, put a piece of meat on top, fake crab, real crab, cocktail weenie, pheasant meat, whatever is handy, sprinkle them with some good rub, then wrap a piece of thin cheap bacon around them and put them in the smoker until done. They are like bacon jalapeno candy when they are done. These look good and easy to make, I never thought about freezing them but I bet more of the cheese would stay in. Never heard of doing them with pickled Jalapenos, you will have to do a video with them sometime. Thank you, great video for some anytime snacks.

Those look great. Have you tried adding some cooked Sausage to the stuffing and wrapping them with Bacon and cook on the grill?
Or a piece of chicken breast in the pepper wrapped with bacon and grilled. Anything in a jalapeno is good.
