- Been a HH sub since MHTri Ultimate converted to HH main in World and Iceborne, tries out MHRise HH and holy sh*t. I just new I had to make a video of it. I am sorry to my fans who only watch my FG content but right now I am just hyped for this game. Its also a sorry excuse to use DDDA banger in a MH game.
It can feel a tad bit weird coming from old playstyle but this is just awesome.

First, Its a demo. Dont judge too fast. You have no idea how customization works in RISE so why the butthurt? Dont expect less from a demo, theres reason they cut equipment info and etc in the demo. Shut yer yappin and keep dooting. Whining wont help. Just move on if you cant take it. Nobody cares you like it or not. You cant please everybody. People are bound to whine either way.

@@MaleficArken I mean, the new attacks are fun and all, and while I don't mind the removal of recital mode, I am conflicted with how simplified they made the song lists. I hope songs become more complicated later on.

best support is never to put wide-range as a HH. just use health rec melodies and keep attacking monster. the best offense is the best support. this is why safi horns exists, you can even put blast safi horn with health rec melodies and put 5 element up 5 on the rest of the slot and one VI, and it can out dps even fatalis doot (if you cant believe how random pubs sucks so bad you need to keep heals up and blast procs up) im just baffled when HH user uses wide range and only cornerheals.
Hunting horn is a weapon I've always wanted to use but I could never do all the songs from memory in older games

I've been maining between LBG and HH in GU and World. When I tried out the HH in Rise, I was screaming the whole time because it's now fucking ascended into the heavens. It's literally sex except better because it doots.

at least those 2 things it was right and makes more sense being a temporary exclusive than a switch only, monsterr hunter IP has so much money potential for capcom right now that releasing MHRise only on switch means less money and I doubt nintendo paid enough money for capcom to release only on the Switch

Meanwhile, time to dust off my old love from Freedom Unite. I used IG in 4U, and crossed that with Worlds bow, but HH is back, and its time I rejoined my love.
Holy hell, I am loving this... I already quite liked Hunting Horns before, but it was rather difficult to focus on landing notes and attacking a big angry monster at once, especially since I have a TERRIBLE memory of how most of the melody inputs go and have to constantly check the details on my horn in past games for several missions before I start remembering (never mind what happens when your little flow of notes gets interrupted - it's easy to panic when your nicely composed, perfect lineup suddenly gets punished by a Tigrex doing his best impression of Superman with you in its path).
It's still satisfying as hell when it works, but this looks even better. HH might be one of my mains once the full release comes around.

it is extremely simple. I usually only played 3 melodies before, including self improvements because the maintenance of songs was troublesome.
The hh needed some buff though, It used to be too behind when soloing.

I've been a IG and Bow main for a while but I've always been interested in trying out the HH, and seeing this. I might as well practice using it now, this looks amazing!

I am happy its no longer bits on sticks, and more importantly for the hunting horn, unique horn sounds, rock out with that Barrios bass (and likely the zinogre bass too) while giving my team mates ptsd with the khezu horn.

I was always into HH, but I never really liked having to line up a song and play it one at a time. But as I’m sure everyone knows by now, that’s not how it works in Rise. Definitely gonna be one of my mains now.

MH Rise Demo GOTY
Hunting horn main entered the lobby : "i'll show you my true power".
Tried out hunting horn in world ( My first monster hunter game) I was terrible at it, learned how to slightly play but still kept Switch axe and Insect glaive as my go to weapons. Seeing how it plays in this game I might try to make the effort to become good at it, looks really fun.
What you simply need for HH in World is a little time in the practice area with it. Test which animation happens while moving, and which happens when standing still.
Note also that for normal combo attacks, it alternates between the two animation types, depending on which you used first. Moving--Still--Moving--etc.
Then test recital the same way.
Then test encore, but instead of still position and mere forward direction, try all four directions with it.
Learn all of these movements and HH will feel a lot less clunky.
Also practice weaving LT move into your attacks, the time to push that is right around when an attack animation ends, otherwise it goes to Clutch Claw instead.
Another thing to look for with HH in World are horns with Evade Window+Move Speed buff. Relevant to practicing the LT move, as you need its note to access that buff and several other different ones depending on the horn used.
Edit: In Rise, though? They don't give us enough hunts to practice in. Big letdown.
Meanwhile, as an Insect Glaive main, I can appreciate being a literal helicopter.
ive played a bit of horn in my hunting carrer, enough to consider it my top 4. now, with this new rework, it is now my number 1. as a primary support role in any game i can, this horn rework is taken it to brand new heights. i am SO READY FOR RISE!
its not a rework, its just one of the two stance you can pick. in the final release you can still play ye olde dootstick

@@blastchaos4286 Well my dear cactaceae the difference would be a Main is well obviously someone who has used the HH for a majority of there playthroughs, realizes the HHs imperfections, voices how it HHs could improve, and knows before rise it was there go too weapon and vastly good.
A poser now well is someone who's only realize the potential of the HH after rise. Also they are not to be mistaken for HH newbies/those of intrest- they are more prown to mistakes and have to learn how to wield HHs. Posers are those who only think HH is good because of the improvement from Rise, they want to try it now because its more "Viable for hunting". They think just cuz we dont hit like the hammer were the insufficient blunt weapon. But they are fools! The huting horn has always been viable always has been. And thats why the biggest difference between a HH main and a poser is every HH main know that we are NOT SUPPORT WEAPONS!! We Doot to our own rhythms.🎺🎶🎷 whether it be before rise or currently now.

i only rarely touch hunting horn in world and previous titles because the moveset was a bit too limiting for me, once i tried it in rises demo i was laughing so hard bacause the hunting horns moveset was so bodacious and awesome! its so much fun to play as im literarily dancing around the monsters head singing straight fire!
Hunting Horn just became a meat grinder but with hammers, that doots.
Those damage numbers are insane, and that’s coming from a GS user.
you can hit for nearly 350 with true charge in the demo, horn just has lots of dps now instead of big singular hits.
Is it just me or does gs feel worse than world? It may just be that I havnt used gs in a while.
@@abrogaming5976 in the demo you cant crit, and when you hit true charge slash the game doesnt slow down and freeze your screen for a hot second when you connect, thats probably why

Hunting horn was the first weapon I was comfortablish (GU). My friend told me to stop playing it bc obviously being new I didn't know it all that well. Then threw the rest of gu and world I played greatsword, switchaxe, insect glaive and charge blade(gu only). I played hh in rise and started to fall in love with it again and tried to practice in world but got my asskicked lol. Gonna take some more practice

Y'know, I wonder if all the hunting horns will be guitars now, like the Basarios/Zinogre one. Because there are no performances anymore (you don't actually blow into the horn) and there's that animation of the hunter playing the strings. Also it makes guitar sounds now when you do stuff.
This is both cool, and flipping terrifying that the HH has been BUFFED.
It was good in World, great in Iceborne, and practically God tier now.
It's a HH main's world and we're all just living in it.

@@Dodowingster I mained it for a good while and I 100% agree with you. But Hunting Horn isnt NEARLY as fast-paced as those other weapons, and it can be a bit tedious to get used to. But it's an awesome weapon, and in World I had almost as much fun with it as the Great Sword.
In terms of DPS yes its slow, but saying its slow in general is not true, HH movement speed is faster than SnS unsheathe! HH shines best when you know where to reposition and doot the groove!
