- Woo hoo hoo! This is an interview of the Last Airbender creators discussing how they came up with the premise of Avatar: The Last Airbender. This interview can be found in the behind-the-scenes content of the disastrous Last Airbender film, which is currently in the process of being re-edited on the channel. ;)

Hope you all enjoy the video, which can be found in the behind-the-scenes of The Last Airbender film (of ALL places)! Also, be sure to check out the ambitious re-edit of the Airbender movie on the channel, with the names pronounced correctly, too! ;)
Creative people are really something.
They really and deeply thought about world building that's impressive
These two are absolute geniuses. And time will prove me right I think
I’m pretty sure time already has. Airbender blew up into a fantastic franchise and we're expected to get more content for it down the road. :)
Those two are my heroes. Tnx for making my childhood memories interesting. Me Nd my brothers watch this show together and now me and my kids watch it. We still love it.
love the humility
love these guys and what they do
Very nice to see their comments on the show. Amazing show, by the way, probably the best NickToon of all. But ain't nobody gonna talk about that drawing here? 05:30 LoLoLoL
Yeah, it's always neat listening to creators discuss how they managed to craft something as incredible as the Last Airbender. Funnily, this interview is from when the creators were promoting Shyamalan's film, and can be found in the special features section.
Damn they prove how kataang should to be happened and with the funny words😂 great creators
Love what you have created....Still fan of avatar ❤❤❤
1:03 "during a yoga class" - do you mean psychedelic trip? ahah
More like a CABBAGE trip!!! 😎
Kataang is the heart and spirit of Avatar 🥲💕
No it’s not 😡
@@allisongramy157 lol you salty zutara shippers can cry all you want, after all these years it’s still hilarious 🤭
I never really saw Zuko and Katara as romantically attracted to each other. Katara feels sympathetic towards him in the cave, but that's really it in terms of them liking each other.
When more avatar
I believe there are a couple animated Avatar movies coming in a few years that will take place when Aang is an adult.
@@unicrost cool, but I would like them to make a continuation of what happens after the legend of korra
@@greninja5558 2025
michael dante draw himself as aang. 😆
That was exactly what I thought when I first saw him 😂😂😂😂
So, Katara loves Aang as a babysitter and thinks Aang as her brother 🤔🤔🤔 not romantic wow
They had romantic feelings for each other that developed over time. What the creators are talking about here is just how they got the ideas of the world and characters started. So, they're mostly focused on the early episodes of season 1; and Katara's romantic feelings for Aang didn't really pick up until season 2. So, that's why they're not talking about that.
@@unicrost well. But to be honest, i see hardly any romantic feeling for Aang from Katara even in season 2 and 3. She was mothering him 24/7 in the show. And Katara was Aang's fantasy
@@zwipe1579 Those scenes feels awkward when 24/7 she was mothering him
@@zwipe1579 nope. A girl who loves a boy motherly as a babysitter will never fall in love with him within 4/5 months in any univers.
Katara is not Aang’s mom. She is a 14 year old girl, not a grown ass woman. Get over it people.
Hola! donde puedo encontrar esta entrevista completa?
This is the only footage available of the interview. It comes from the behind-the-scenes of the Last Airbender movie.

The creators proofs katara love aang romantic snd noe i feel so happy who i hear that from creators
Until korra happened
Which is a good thing.
Korra was a masterpiece imo
@@vetarlittorf1807 in your dreams
@@mpteee yeah its a masterpiece for people with hollow skulls
Korra is great.
Still great , until the woke Avatar came has power of Gender bending
"Gender bending" 🤣
If you look closely, the original show was already "woke"
@carlossanchez-us9dl In what way? Do you mean people would scream" woke" if the cartoon came out today because it's ethnically diverse? Is it Katara's well-written feminism? If we're debating what the reaction would be if it came out today, I would argue people would be screaming "whitewash" because many of these Asian characters are voiced by White actors. Heck, Mark Hamill voices the Fire Lord. Just look at what happened with Cleveland in Family Guy.
Typically, "woke" is used to describe a story that has an unnecessary injection of virtue signaling, over-promotes equality messages that most people already agree with, or has pointless "token characters" who are just there to check a box (race, sexuality, woman). Such modern wokeness I tend to classify as "woke 2.0" to differentiate it from the original pre-2000's wokeness, which I would describe as "wokeness done right." For example, the '90s X-Men show on some level could be seen as "woke" because of its themes of equality with mutants and humans. But the messaging fits the story very well and it doesn't demonize segments of its audience viewers when portraying this. Doesn't jab at men, doesn't jab at Christians, doesn't jab at Whites or "able-bodies" (very strange word to me). Most people watching X-Men would advocate for those mutants to have equality because the character work is done well and we are given reasons to like them. In fact, it did so well with its storytelling and messages that it's getting a reboot, and most people seem ready for it. That being said, there are people considered that it'll get ruined because modern Hollywood is struggling with its stories. Guess we'll have to see.
Now, I do agree that bad woke content does exist; and I don't believe that a story should be called woke by default just because there's a gay character or a black woman in the trailer. But in the case of Airbender, I don't believe it fits any of the criteria of woke 2.0.
