High octane fuel does not make more power. What it does do is allow a higher state of tune without pre-detonation. Changing fuel alone will do nothing for you unless it was pre-detonating before.
I run 25% ( quart ) 110 Octane Racing fuel to a gallon ( 3 quarts ) of non- ethanal fuel. I'm getting over 80 MPG & averaging 35 MPH. I've been making 40 mile round trip rides on it...loads of fun...so far...top speed... 47.4 MPH.
If that head made your bike quieter, you probably had an airleak on your other head. Explains why it also added so much torque and power. Heads don't typically cut down on noise.
Hey bro, don't paint your bike because people are giving you a hard time about the color. Keep it pink, take your exhaust off, and roll past the guy who's bugging you's house reving you engine and giving em all the finger. Lol. Paint your bike whatever color you like and don't let no one tell you different!
I like this engine and also the fact that it is quieter as I am an outdoors man I can use a jackshaft with this and rig it into the gears also for more speed and tourqe also I can use a mid mount electric motor to make a hybrid bike also but how much speed are you getting initially with the set up you have now
I got a CNC head was wearing shorts bike lean over head touch my leg burned into my leg into artery blood poured out just like getting hit with high powered laser cut right into the skin, the head makes more of a loud pop on mine but got a new high performance exhaust half to see what it does.

Was it about 80 bucks? You know that you would have bought 15 grit sand papper for 1 dollar and grind couple millimeters off and you got much more compression
@@hamshaft yea ofcourse. Basically you take your cilylinder head and a big pice of medium grit sandpaper not too big grit and not too small grit. Then you place the big pice of sand paper on top of a table or some flat thing i recomend that you glue or tape the edges of sand paper on the flat thing. Now you takenur cylinder head and start grinding it (cylinder side where the piston comes ) you just grind and tou should look too how much you are already taken off i recoment that you take about 1-3 millimeters off 3 maybe too much so you should go with 2 mm . Cut the muffler piece off from the gas I mean at the gas tank when I brake loose making a quiet I'm telling you the truth because my friend and me did this if you cut it off from the muffler from that end of the muffler not where the motor is but where the end of the muffler is that big round piece cut it right between there and it should go louder but if you could also get to got to turn the idle on a little bit more
If the engines rpms are limited by flow, then the compression will get more out of each power cycle; they should be higher. If the rpms are limited by a governor that was set with mechanical 'tegrity in mind, then we can open up that door....and potentially parts of the engine that weren't intended to have doors ;)

Everyone wants more power on their motorized bike why not just buy a motorcycle engine around a 100cc through 125cc or more cc with a 4-speed transmission behind it for low and mid-range and top-end power? I'm sure there's a way it can be done. yes I could buy a motorcycle but the thing is I like motorized bikes to ride on trails, sidewalks and just to putt putt around on. And my state a motorized bike no helmet, no license plate, no taxes, no inspection nothing that's the way I like it. But with more gear in my motorized bike I could climb a mountain or almost any hill. Maybe I might just get a motorcycle quieten it and put bicycle pedals and a chain on it there's a thought.

Yup. I'm pretty sure higher octane fuels have slightly less chemical energy stored in them so technically he is losing some power.
Octane is for compression, not tuning. You can run 97 in an engine designed for 87 but not the other way around

p.s. I did shave 3mm off the head & did some piston work to it.....oh yeah, a little porting also.
That's awesome I got mine to do 45mph
+John Boy im going to do a little piston work on mine too
A head on a 2 stroke won't make it quieter......it's just a head.
Or port. Whichever lol
could have something to do with the volume of gas staying inside the cylinder for longer.
probably a placebo effect though
sounds like compression was lowered. Quieter with less power
If that head made your bike quieter, you probably had an airleak on your other head. Explains why it also added so much torque and power. Heads don't typically cut down on noise.
True story I was thinking the same
Thing
In racing lean is mean more power and possibly could blow up your engine. but running the fuel mixture fat is more safe and reliable.
You can’t use octane boots in 2 stroke fuel mix because the boost separates and you’ll end up seizing the top end
Can you do a compression test with a real cylinder compression tester
You can... if you have one
