Thanks for the review. I ordered one this past month (Aug 2023). Arrived in two weeks. Unboxed and found a very soft, and pliable plastic basket with rings. Placed in skimmer over 24 hours. (Tested all 3 levels of the "low flow' options as well as without. Does not work well. Poor construction, very cumbersome to add rings. They do not 'Snap" into place it takes minutes to get the top ring pushed into place so that the other rings can be tried. I returned 8 weeks ago after requesting full refund. NO RESPONSE. No Refund. NO Action. Do not buy! Cheap, inefficient and more trouble than checking your pool flow pressure, making sure your flapper is in place. Buyer BEWARE. It's a sham. #skim-a-round, #All-in-one-skimmer, #poolskimmer.

They don't honor their warranty. The website states free replacement parts including shipping. The top of mine broke and I contacted them for a replacement part. They sent me an invoice for $15.99 for shipping which is more than the part and shipping cost - total ripoff. Its made of cheap plastic that will break easily. I noticed they have shut off comments on a lot of their social media to avoid having complaints posted about their products.
Taking the weir door off helps a lot and makes a vortex
I have not thought about taking the door off. But you loose that functionality? hmm.... something to think about and try. thx! Rd
Rod Duke I think if I remember correctly it says in the manual it replaces the weir door or that it works better if you remove it or something like that.

Regardless of basket type, the volume of water flow is the same. Water volume is a function of pump suction pressure and pipe sizing. By placing an the orifice in the water flow, you alter the velocity of water flow and potentially lower the volume of water flow. This device is pure marketing genius, attempting to fix a non problem.
BUYER BEWARE! They only give you a 15 day return policy and the design requires a MUCH HIGHER WATER LEVEL in your pool. You must constantly monitor your water level and not let it drop below top of skim-a-round
yep! They are cheaply made. My basket cracked

If you have the weir walls (flappers) in your skimmer, you do not need these. They are just another version of a skimmer weir wall. They are a pain to clean out. They are just a Facebook marketing product that most people do not need.
Ok I'm glad you mentioned this because I thought I was going crazy. I have a 20 year old basket with the weir and it works better because it floats with the water level automatically. Thank you for the sanity!

I'm really torn about this product working like I want. I have two skimmers and both have weir doors. 3/4 of the floating debris goes right past my skimmers. When I lived in VA I had the same problem with a brand new pool. The people who constructed the pool then replaced the basket with a basket that had a floating weir in it and that worked perfectly. I've searched everywhere for something similar but most of them are pool specific.

Same guy I see on other videos always long winded negative comment kinda weird he is so obsessed with a 35 product unless ex partner and got booted out or ex employee is my guess but very strange he follows skim a round videos just to copy and paste same long winded complaint for a piece of plastic that is well worth the money including shipping how can you not buy this

It's a vinyl liner pool you can have your concrete pool renovated to accommodate vinyl depends on shape.
If you have a vinyl liner installed, instead of a replaster you are a fool

The skim around skimming will force vegetables around the traditional ones?
This creates better suction so I would say it would skim a pool more efficiently.
Frankly it's a great product however getting in touch with these people is nyan impossible. My overing broke and I've tried for 2 weeks to get ahold of these people one way or the other and I'm being shunned. Anybody know how to get O rings?

No, you don't have to take them out, it is they just may not be as effective nor have the nice vortex.

Ellen Shulman Well. It appears the suction is less when both are running. That is what everyone tells me. And the Polaris I guess, can impact - ever so slightly - the flow of the water. Ie to the skimmers.
I just bought the skim around.. So you are saying that that I either have the vacuum or the skim around? Not both? So did you just disconnect your vacuum permanently?
En Familia ASMR People are telling me while the vacuum is on. The skim around will not work as well.
En Familia ASMR I did find with the Polaris off the Skim-Around did work a bit better.

So basically just a product to give you a visually appealing vortex effect but no change on circulation rate. These are basically the breast implants of pool products, looks cool but doesn’t do anything.
