What he describes as happening in the last 24 months with cards started happening 2 months ago in comics. We've seen key issues that hovered around $300 - $500 for years suddenly skyrocketing in price. We're seeing CGC (the comic book PSA equivalent) 9.8 (the standard for average highest grade for 99% of comics though there are some rare 9.9 and 10 books out there) graded key comics doubling in value, sometimes weekly. We're even seeing books that are less than 24 months old selling for over $2k-3k on rumors of TV and movie appearances. Big money has entered the comic world en mass, and it's driving prices crazy. The last time I saw this behavior in comics and cards was the mid-90's, and the market for both eventually imploded. Short term, I'm riding the wave and making as much as I can before the market crashes, but long term it's absolutely unsustainable.
