It's so heartbreaking to see the look on peters face when she's in pain, he is such a good person and as Mary is going through all of this he's standing right there beside her , let's give peter some much deserved appreciation.
The Vlogging Murrays I'm so sorry your hubby is so ill & that he's in so much pain. It's horrible seeing loved ones in pain. But keep doing what you're doing, you're doing an awesome job! I'm so proud of you!
Peter, do take care of yourself. Are there any friends close by that can sit with her for a couple hours to let you unwind. You were going to the coffee shop to work on your sermons. You need that tome. I was a caregiver for my mother and a friend finally drug me out and I realized how hard it is. Take care of yourself. She needs you healthy. Prayers.
We LOVE YOU MARY!!! You have got to be one of the BRAVEST peoples I know!!! You're such a rockstar!!! Bless you and Peter. Peter, your caring and love always shine through, but during these more difficult "bumps in the road" the love is epic!!! Hi Ollie, you're also doing a great job!!!
Christine Brownrigg Dmsgrl94 answered but I can't find it on here so I copied it for you . The shop is called KelleysCuddleCottage. It's linked in their "Guest bedroom tour" video. She is currently sold out of Mary's blankets. Hopefully she will list more (or more custom order spots) soon.
I have chronic pain and my two closest friends are also chronically ill. I call our husbands unicorn husbands. People aren't sure they exist but they go above and beyond not only working, caring for all the things, hospital stays etc etc. They truly do exist. Sometimes I'll thank my husband for all he does and he's like uh it's my job but still it's nice to say it out loud. So when I found this channel I told my husband Peter's a unicorn husband. :P
I have fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis so I completely understand depending on our significant others. my guy does tons. he takes care of my boys (previous marriage, so not his), tonight my legs just did not want to work, so when I got up to finish fixing dinner, I fell. he jumped right up, made sure I was okay, and finished fixing dinner. he also fixed the kids plates as well as mine. plus he cleaned up after dinner. such a rockstar ❤ he wheels me around in my wheelchair when I need to use it, puts my braces on me and takes them off, and so so so much more. definitely a unicorn
wow I cannot believe the people bragging about handling pain better than Mary in the comments. she just had major surgery and is in a lot of pain and is allowed to get meds so that she can recover. if you didnt need a lot of pain meds for your situation that is completely irrelevant. the last thing she needs to see in comments is people bragging and talking down about what she can handle. she is fighting a serious chronic illness and is kicking its butt.
Yup. It's basically like telling someone who suffers from depression that it can't be that bad or that someone else had it worse. Everyone experiences it differently. Even if she did have a low pain tolerance, technically,... the pain she is actually feeling may be terrible. Some people take painkillers even though they "only" have a "minor" headache, whereas other may be able to handle pain after open heart surgery or any other major surgery without any pain meds (I'm sure these people exist). Pain is relative.
Mary I prayed for you at church today. God is with you, especially through the hard times. I also prayed for Peter that God will help him care for his beautiful wife and find peace. :) Love to you both.
Thumbs up for Peter and a comment for Mary! You're a legend, girl. You're always so strong and positive through it all. Do what you think you can't do!
Oh Mary! I thought you would love this. Tonight is Goatfest at my college to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. They have live music, snacks, and FIFTEEN BABY GOATS you can pet! Seems like goats are the official cystic fibrosis mascot lol!
mary, any surgery to the abdomen hurts. hold a pillow to your abdomen when you cough, sneeze, or laugh. it's comforting. im asthmatic and have had one to many abdominal surgeries. take it easy. I'll be praying for you, i will be in your same boat next week. im going to have surgery next week.
glad you're feeling slightly better. Peter is an amazing husband and an example of a real man. This is how men and husbands should be. Thanks Peter and congratulations. Also, congrats to your parents for raising such a respectable gentleman. Oliver is a sweet sweet boy. He is a champ and it's so great to see how faithful he is to his momma. Have to catch up with your blogs but wish you a speedy revovery!
Mary is amazing, but her husband is also amazing! Not many people would sign up to live this kind of lifestyle, but he seems to be there for her every step of the way and never complains! A sweet couple!
I'm watching you guys from my hospital bed, I just had a colostomy put in. You guys cheer me up and help me, along with God of course, to be brave. Prayers for Mary for a speedy recovery, prayers for the both of you.
I had abdominal surgery and let me tell you, it is PAINFUL. Mary is such a trooper! I've been thinking about you guys & praying for a safe recovery & will continue to do so.
My surgeon said it would feel like an 18 wheeler had hit me & run me over a few times. I avoided coughing like the plague so major props to you for getting through that.
i wish you luck with your recovery. Though be prepared the air that was pumped into you will take a while to leave the body. I learned last year from a minor pelvic surgery that the air tends to rise to your shoulders and causes a lot of pain that pain medicine doesn't really help. The best way to relieve the pain and aide the air in leaving is to rock back and forth when you are able to. It truly helps. I learned this from my step-mom who had the same surgery. I love you guys and hope for a good recovery.
Thumbs up Peter 👍 And I really hope that your pain lessens soon Mary! I just wanted to thank you three (Ollie included), for always being there and sharing your lives with us x Sadly I got the news yesterday that my friend lost her life to suicide, and I have been struggling with my own suicidal thoughts for a while now. But I got to my GP appointment the other day by repeating 'Do what you think you can't do' under my breath on the way there. Having you to look forward to seeing everyday means so much to me, and so many thousands more. From the bottom of my heart, thank you ❤️
I've been praying for you Mary, you're a rock star ! Don't forget : fly when you think you can't walk 😘😘 Lots of love from the other side of the Atlantic 🇫🇷😘
I have spina bifida and hydrocephalus which hasn't given me problems in years after over 20 revisions and spins bifida related surgeries I have had one hip surgery & 2 bowel surgeries where I've had 2 different feeding tube procedures to flush my bowels. The first one worked but I had a feeding tube like yours but it wasn't for me bc it got in the way of everything so for the last like 8 years I have had a hole in my belly button & I just stick a tube in it & flush that way but yeah watching this recovery beings back many memories of those 2 bowel surgeries bc I had a lot of the same pain problems. Love your videos. Keep pushing on. You guys are awesome!
Thumbs up for Mary, Peter, Ollie, and the team all very positive attitudes. But most importantly to God for everything. Sending much love and prayers for a speedy recovery
Amy A I had a radio frequency ablation in my lower back about a year ago. It was miserable! I hope you healed well and got the results you were hoping for.
Amy A i had an ablation in my heart! it wasn't painful, but it was of course difficult to recover from after the whole anaesthetic malarkey. hope yours went well!
Awe I am glad it wasn't too painful! Mine was terrible, I cried during it and then they just put me out because I was in so much pain and have PTSD from these needles going into my back. They offered me Tylenol after the procedure.. I was like???? Can I have morphine lol
Mary, I am so proud of you, and of course Peter and Ollie get an A+ as well!! 🏆I'm sorry you're having a rough couple of days! 😷Just think, you'll look back and see how brave you are and how far you've come. 💪 We're all here for you and just take your time and get well! 👍Keep us informed and "do what you think you can't do!" 🌠
Oh Mary you are such a trooper! Big thumbs up for Peter too. And Ollie Boy who's standing guard. Praying for a swift recovery, as pain free as possible.
You guys are such an AMAZING trio!!! I would love to meet you guys. I'm a chronically sick one with mitochondrial disease & I look to you for inspiration. Get well soon Mary!! Peter, you are a gem!!! An Oh Oliver,!!!! You're such an awesome dog!!!
Wow!! Oliver really comes through when you need him, as well as Peter being at your side always. You are blessed my friends and may Christ embrace all of you.
Hi Mary, I am sorry you are experiencing so much pain. Hopefully tomorrow (today!) you can get some relief and be able to clear your airways again!! Sending much love and blessings. Where does Mary get her blankets from again? I know you guys have talked about it before, but I can't remember.
Mary and Peter, I just want to personally thank you guys. My boyfriend has been suffering from a chronic illness for a few years now and we just recently saw a specialist and are finally on the right track to diagnose and treat him. Although his illness isn't CF, your guys' attitude as a couple, dealing with a chronic illness makes me feel all kinds of warm inside, and hope that we will be just fine. So thank you for lifting my spirits, I needed that after a very overwhelming day today. I'm sending all my love your guys' way for a great recovery❤
Is Mary's team suggesting holding a pillow to her abdomen when she coughs? I know for broken ribs it can give some comfort, not sure if it's applicable in this situation. All the best to you guys and hope Mary makes a speedy recovery!
Doing pretty much ANYTHING post op is gonna hurt for a while... I couldn't imagine having to cough as hard as she needs to clear her lungs. I couldn't sneeze, laugh, or turn over!
Multiple pillows for your abdomanal surgeries two for open heart surgeries, i have quiet a collection! And every last one of them have been incredibly helpful for that rebound cough pain. Have Peter stand behind you and wrap you as tight as he can comfortably holding the end of each side of the pillow. Then cough, the first one is the hardest, but once you start it will get easier! But dont let it stop you, try your hardest! I really gets better!

Mary, my prayers for you that this pain is short-lived. So proud of all of you. You for your courage. Peter for his loving support. And Ollie for being so there for you. 👍💖👏💙🐶
Mary and peter you are both so inspiring with how you deal with this and really are amazing with how strong and positive you are. I can't even imagine what you have to go through everyday but less than a year ago I had major spinal fusion and it was the worst pain I've ever had but it did get better slowly everyday and it has really taught me a lot more about life. Stay strong and keep fighting 💪🏼 ( I have been inspired to be a nurse from my surgery and I cannot wait to help people like you 😊)
When you guys were struggling with it takes a village or the team I am thinking we are the Frey Life Tribe! Sending prayers to you, Mary, for healing and to Peter for strength! Seeing The Love shared between the two of you in this moment - you both are just amazing! God Bless!
Mary you are a rock star & Peter & Ollie are too. it's much easier to deal with these rough days when you have good support. You're a great role model for anyone dealing with chronic illness. Tons of gentle hugs & prayers for you both.
It's weird how you may have no clue who I am but I am so proud of you and you are truly and amazing powerful person. You have taught all of us to stay strong no matter the circumstances. Love you Mary get well soon!❤️❤️❤️❤️
Dear Jesus please comfort and heal Mary. Give her peace that passes all understanding. Please give the doctors wisdom to know how to treat her. In Jesus name Amen
Hi Mary and Peter I'm from Ireland and I'm 14, I have cf I got peg tube/mickey button two years ago and I have fairly high pain tolerance but the pain honestly didn't completely go for six months mainly because the surgical team put a bigger tube than necessary in, but you get used to the pain after a while, I hope you feel better soon :)
A bunch of thumbs up for Mary, for Peter, and for Ollie!!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍from a grandma in Canada!💏You inspire me and so many others - thank for sharing your precious life. Prayers and love💞
you guys are so so sweet!! thinking of you! positive vibes for your recovery beautiful lady. i had my third brain surgery end of jan and need another soon... as i say...just keep swimming!! lots of love from cornwall england!
It makes me sad to see you in pain. Prayers for quick recovery. You are a very strong and brave woman. You are lucky to have Peter and Ollie with you by your side! And of course your UA-cam family!
Hope Mary makes a full recovery. Peter you're amazing :) Mary, peppermint tea helps with bloating and wind. I had it after both my c-sections and hysterectomy. Keep on fighting Mary :) xxx
Mary just wanted to say "your so inspirational ". My partner has progressive MS and after a months stay in hospital he came home with a feeding tube. Like you he takes this as all part of the journey - he now has all his meds through the tube and when he's not up to eating orally we can give him feeds via his tube. I have ordered some of the fancy little cushions to go under the port- he doesn't know but it will make him smile 😀. Thankyou for making me smile everyday and helping to make my days brighter.
Common Mary you can do this! You have a lovely husband by your side, holding your hand all the way, a beautiful puppy looking out for you, and a supportive family. We here your UA-cam family will be praying for you, hoping that your recovery from now on can be as painless as possible. I might have joined this year, but I love you guys and admire your relationship, your faith, and your strength in situations of which many others would most likely lose hope. Always remember we love you, and we cherish the moments you chose to share with us no matter how hard they may be. Best of luck to both of you!

I love when he stands behind her, literally and emotionally holding her up. He's an amazing man, with an amazing woman. I wanna clone them.
she lucky shes got someone to care for her like that honestly. ive never experienced love like that and probably never will
Peter, do take care of yourself. Are there any friends close by that can sit with her for a couple hours to let you unwind. You were going to the coffee shop to work on your sermons. Alisa Piper that's a good point it's really hard to be a caregivers

So cute that her friend made her a pillowcase to match her favourite blanket! Sending quick healing vibes your way!
Would love a blanket like Mary's like the mint green too wonder where they are from?
Christine Brownrigg they're from an Etsy shop, I feel like they have a video about it.
Christine Brownrigg they do have a video and I just tried and tried to find it but couldn't. If I find the Etsy shop I will let you know.

I know how you feel. I have Endometriosis that causes chronic pain and multiple surgeries. Not fun. ❤ Also sadly infertility.

I agree. Pain is relative. different for everyone in every situation. Commenting about themselves is like saying "oh I know exactly how you feel" BS.
Michelle G i haven't seen comments like that but anyone saying it is ridiculous!! Being in pain after surgery is totally normal o.o some people :
Yup. It's basically like telling someone who suffers from depression that it can't be that bad or that someone else had it worse. Everyone experiences it differently. Michelle G it's called "oneupmanship", look it up in a psych book.
Michelle G I agree it's quite the procedure and painfull
Mary I prayed for you at church today. God is with you, especially through the hard times. I also prayed for Peter that God will help him care for his beautiful wife and find peace. :) Love to you both.

Roll a towel up and place it vertically over your sternum and abdomen. When you cough, hold it really tight and it might bring some relief.

Seeing Mary in so much pain is so sad and hard. I’m glad she’s starting to recover. You *BOTH* need thumbs ups!!!! 👍🏻
Mary, you are a trooper! I pray that your healing gets easier, and that you're able to cough. And here's a 👍 for Peter. :)

I split my thumbs up between the two of you because UA-cam won't allow me to give two for one video. You both deserve it. I am praying for you guys.
Hope Mary makes a full recovery. Peter you're amazing :) Mary, peppermint tea helps with bloating and wind. I had it after both my c-sections and hysterectomy. Keep on fighting Mary :) xxx

I forgot about that gas they put in, my gallbladder surgery was the same, made my chest hurt..... feel better, thank goodness for pain meds!
Robyn West same here! that pain from that gas was pretty bad! i felt it a lot in my shoulders!
Thankyou for making me smile everyday and helping to make my days brighter.
my cousin has CF so when she is out of the hospital i say guess what! the frey life has alot of new videos
she is very encouraged by you and she is doing the walk in her wheelchair and im pushing it!!!!
