shortii12341 I agree! But I think Peter is also lucky to have Mary, having a fighter by your side is inspiring and makes you enjoy things you could maybe take for granted :)
He Loves Her! She is not childish and her desires mean a lot to him! She deals with all this illness better than most of us could. Definitely me, that's for sure!!
Luella R i think you took that the wrong way. Childishness is not a bad thing- it's actualy a good thing. It simply means you don't have to take yourself so seriously and you are willing to joke around.

Just so you know for next time: I'm a vet tech, and it's ok for Ollie to be with you when your tube is being placed! It's ok for him to be exposed to the radiation. X-ray gowns for dogs don't exist because they don't need them--we don't put any kind of gown on a dog, even if they are just having their paw x-rayed. The amount of radiation coming from an x-ray machine is not enough to impact a dog in their lifetime. We try to limit a human's exposure to x-ray radiation because if we are exposed to too much, we may see the effects when we get older. However, dogs do not live nearly long enough to see any of those effects. If you and Ollie want to be together during the procedure, go for it!!Also, I'm sending prayers your way, Mary. I hope this tube goes better than the last one.
The Frey life is honestly just one of the best families of people on UA-cam! Everyone is so supportive and kind, it always makes me feel better when I'm having a flare up day scrolling through the comments. I hope everyone is having a beautiful day!
I totally agree with your comments about care providers "niceness" not being enough. I am having to learn to be my own advocate and stand up for myself when it seems like im slipping through the cracks in the medical system. man is it exhausting. but family and faith make it possible
Michelle G It is exhausting but you have to stand up for yourself. Nice doesn't cut it when it comes to your health. I have learned over the years you have to speak up to get good care. Nice is appreciated and goes a long way sometimes, but there has to be skill too.
I admire your positivity Mary, you are such a trooper! I know you had to be anxious but I can tell you put all of that in God's hands. You are amazing!!! Peter is such a rock! I wanna give y'all a big ole hug!
shannonflh H get off my comment feed. no one here called anyone incompetent and im sure mary didnt mean it like they didnt know what they were doing but probably just that the other person has more experience doing it. no one said healthcare was easy.
also note if anyone wants to attack me when I posted about my current experiences and issues I will report your comment. I was looking for support because I've experienced stuff in the health care system where I have in fact dealt with people who didn't know what they were doing. the reality is that there are people who don't do a good job in the field and pointing that out is important. for example I had someone recently try to diagnose my current issues based on testing from 2 years ago. that isnt acceptable health care.
I agree with the comment that the world does need more special man like Peter, I see the way he was raised and the way Mrs. Frey is, he is a great role model for husband's to aspire to. Mary, I hope and pray that you have more fuel in your body to fight better, and you have less pain with your new tube.
Mary and Peter, you are such brave and amazing people. I honestly don't know how you can cope with things with such kindness and dignity. So much love and hugs to you from Scotland UK. xxx
You are so very blessed to have each other to support and love the other through this journey of life. And Ollie is the angel sent to you both for your hearts✨
You simply can't understand just how many people out here derive strength merely by watching your strength. And knowing that this strength comes from the Lord is a wonderful witness. Keep up the good work my friend...with He who is able to keep us from falling. God Bless.
I had my 12th surgery yesterday for endometriosis and things have been challenging. I love watching your videos and I now tell myself ......do what you think you can't do, do what you think you can't do. Thank you for making me feel like I'm not alone in this chronically ill life 🌺🌸⭐️
It really is! I watch every day and it does help to see someone be so positive while fighting. I believe her positivity helps me be strong and positive. I feel like all of us "chronics" have an unspoken bond. Hugs to you and the whole Frey Life Family. Thank you Mary, Peter and Ollie!! God Bless
Your channel is the one channel that I must watch daily. I can't get enough of it. Your relationship with each other and outlook on life is amazing. I laugh and cry with both of you. Ollie is the sweetest dog. I will say a prayer for you that your NJ stays put for you so that you can get the fuel that your body needs. Bless your family.
Much love Mary and Peter . There is no better advocate then yourself. I have had to be for the last 28 yrs and sometimes it's an uphill battle . You are a great team you Peter and olli . God is watching and wrapping his arms around you xoxoxo
I'm a full time certified ASL interpreter & I melt every single time u sign! Keep learning you've got a knack for it. Learning live is best but when ya can't there are tons of online videos now. Stumbled into this career 19 yrs ago my freshman year in college & I'd loved the language my entire life. Just wanted to send u both a big thumbs up!
I just want to say thank you. I don't have CF but I do suffer with depression and watching you have so much strength and positivity makes me want to fight harder and be better. Your joy and happiness is an inspiration. Thank you for sharing your story and your life. You brighten up my day.
Every year your ability to communicate with your spouse gets better when you are so in tune!!! My hubby and I are 19 years into my chronic illness and marriage and he reads me perfectly
So grateful they got the placement right finally...They'd have to sedate me to put anything down my throat! It's wonderful to me how you get through this stuff with so much courage and grace... God bless you!
Ollie is such a sweetheart. It's always fun to see him just "be a dog" from time to time. He's so good to Mary, but it's nice to see him have a little off time too.
"Do what you think you can't do. Do what you think you can't do." Mary you are such an inspiration. I've started singing this to myself every day to get through. I have pmdd and adjustment disorder and live with my mom who has bipolar disorder while going to grad school to become a marriage and family therapist. Thank you for encouraging me every day!
Just love you three to pieces!! Mary you said something earlier in the Vlog that is SO TRUE! There are a lot of NICE people that do try and do their jobs for our procedures! HOWEVER, being nice doesn't always make you comfortable! You can have nice people around you all the time! I always felt like I would sometimes just rather have someone with a stern bedside manner than someone nice if they knew what they were doing!! Hospital procedures can be crazy ridiculous between in-patient and out-patient! Radiology can only administer certain meds due to their schooling background vs having it placed in patient with an anesthesiologist on board! Even if you were doing out-patient now that you know they don't offer the helpful and more comfortably medicated route even with low lung function due to CF they can still give you something to relax you enough that you're just woozy but not out! You're your own BEST ADVOCATE!! We all are! No one can feel being stuck, poked, pricked, tube insertions, testing, etc. I was always afraid to say something! Now I've learned after experiencing all my bad memories and moments that's make me have more anxiety now due to past history that they never had to be that way before! I didn't know that because I didn't know MY VOICE AND MY OPINION mattered! I didn't consider myself part of the team but I soon realized, I was the "I" in team that everyone says never exists! Without me they wouldn't be working on me! You do have a say! The worst they can ever say is NO we can't do that! Sometimes choosing to stay inpatient for 48 hrs is really worth the extras because it's the difference of having a surgeon place it verses having a radiologist place it! I'm sure they're very good at what they do! Since you're a tuff placement I would no let them know this outpatient did not work as well as you expected it to without having fluids to swallow while moving the tube down! Again, I know they're following protocols for their jobs but protocol and comfort don't mix well and help the patients! I had a biopsy done once with a regular Dr. then one with outpatient and radiology! I about flipped our! They didn't do anything before taking a chunk of my liver like they were supposed to give me! All due to the fact the guy performing the test was NOT a Dr. or a Specialist! So we've have literally stayed 24hrs 1 minute to have that done so it doesn't hurt so bad! Although you looked great by afternoon.. I wonder if you being awake helped them placing it easier and slower knowing you could feel it! I just hope they didn't injure your throat from the last time if you're not allergic to the tubing and it makes your throat sore! Praying for you all!!! I've enjoyed all your videos and you guys really are famous to all your watchers and fans! We care about you all! Take care guys! We'll watch tomorrow!! GOODNIGHT!!! 😂😍😉🤔😀😀😀👆🙏🏼
Mary an inspiration always. I have one painful thing that needs to be done, and I told my doctor "I am very tough" and he said to me "I had testicular cancer, and I had to have radiation, and it was always painful and hurt. I decided when I became a doctor I would ALWAYS go the extra mile to make things as painless as possible for any patient." He really gets it, because he has been there. So glad people that have been through what he has been through, decide to go into medicine.
yall are amazing and such an insparation! i love how mary has so much confadince in herself and her relationship with peter and god. shes so brave . i love how peter is always there for mary and understands her! yall r an insparation
I feel like I couldn't have found this channel at a better time. Love the realness and positive vibe of your videos. Just found out today that I have low iron anemia. And though that is not nearly as close to the struggle you go through daily, it is my personal struggle. Watching these helps remind me to laugh every day and to keep doing what I think I can't do. and that means battling my daily vertigo (for a year now) and fatigue. glad to finally have answers. God is good!
Unique Roots best of luck in your journey. we all have our own struggles. some may be less threatning than others but that doesnt make them any easier for the patient esp one whos used to being healthy. positive vibes to you
I love how Ollie interrupts you both when talking. His new toy is awesome. My dog is jealous but it's so cute how she turns her head when it squeaks. Ollie is ADORABLE
WTG Mary. You didn't throw up this time! I love hearing Olie squeaking his biggest dog Bone toy ever! He loves it so much! I love seeing him being loved and getting treats and toys. It is so important to appreciate our babies and he is such an amazing service dog. So happy things went well. xxOo
Yayyy Mary you did it! You are a superstar! Im sorry they had to try so many times. Props to you for trying again and again. You did what you thought you couldn't do! As always you are in my prayers, hopefully you won't puke this one. Lets get that fuel running for you! It makes such a difference in my energy level
You are such a trooper. Sometimes I think that I have it hard with type one diabetes, but then I just think about how hard you are working. You are an inspiration
this video was so so helpful. ive had 2 NG tubes but both times ive been inpatient, but next week im scheduled to get an NJ tube placed out patient and thankfully God blessed me with this video just in time! Mary you handled it all so gracefully and bravely and Peter was so strong and supportive. When the two of you were chanting and holding each others hands during the procedure all of my worry just melted away, i feel like my procedure wont be as scary anymore. Thank you ❤️❤️
I listen to set my heart all the time now. When I'm scared, when I'm angry, when I'm feeling defeated. I don't know where i'm at with religion (although i admit to not having researched it enough) but it feels like hope. Thank you so much for introducing it to us.
Why is yawning so contagious?? Should look that up. So happy this procedure is behind you now, Mary......you are one tough cookie! Just part of having a chronic illness, I suppose.....do what you think you can't do! And Peter, I have no words....you are amazing! Thanks for giving us a peek into your lives...you bring us joy!
Although that took a few tries it seemed like it was a bit easier in terms of not vomiting or gagging too terribly. You're such a trooper & an amazing inspiration!! Seeing your story & your struggles has been such a blessing to me! I know that sounds horrible to say because it means that you are going through really bad things & I'm appreciative of it but it truly helps me a lot & allows me to be be stronger & fight harder through my own medical struggles. Thank you for sharing your life with us Mary!! & Peter too! Xo
Hi Mary and peter I'm a rmps student from Scotland and I've been studying Christianity as part of my course I was wondering if I could as you a few questions about your faith if you wouldn't mind also today I was learning about worship and listened to a song that if you haven't heard of I think you'd like it's called mighty to save by hillsong
Right there with you on "niceness" not being enough..not when it comes to something serious like inserting a feeding tube into your body...for the love of Pete!!! BLESS YOUR HEART Mary!!! Keeping you in my prayers that this time, your body accepts the nutrition and your body comes back to fight for good health!! xo
So happy for you its over and the NJ tube is in place. Really brave of you to have gone through this ordeal again. Now we are rooting for you that your body will receive great nutrition really quickly.
aww Mary your a Trooper and so strong. i love u and peter and oliver so much. Your my idol and your the best. my daughters friend is going thru the same thing, she watchs your vlogs because of me, she said you and peter have inspired her to get thru day by day and to have God by her side. We love u all and ill say a prayer for you. Your the best Mary and i love u so much xoxoxo Stay strong hun.
Dear Mary and Peter What a day!I really hope you sleep well, awake refreshed and know that you have a beautiful new day ahead with each other and Ollie. You both have do so much to contend with but you always show love, grace and humour.
You are one super strong lady, Mary. 💖. You definitely need to be your own advocate always. I hope you don't have to go through so much the next time. 💐
You know what's so adorable, she said she didn't want him to call it formula, and to call it fuel. And he hasn't called it formula since, he's made a full effort to remember. It's not needed, he did it because it made her feel more comfortable. And he made a conscious effort because he's kind and truly loves her. This makes me so happy for them, she is a lucky girl, and he is a lucky man. ❤️
Well, I for one am glad that you have that done with!! I used to be a nurse and I feel so bad that your first one came out. You've got this!! You three are quite the team!!!!
So happy I found your channel! I've been watching the old vlogs so it's a bit weird to come back to the new ones as they are uploaded. Just wanted to say you both are the sweetest people ever! Mary you are a fighter! Beautiful and strong! Peter you have the biggest heart ever! So patient and still. Full of wisdom! Praying this new tube works out for you Mary!
Mary you are such an amazing inspirational person!! When Ollie was playing with his new toy my dog came running Peter, I told her no it was Ollie's toy but I would get her a new one.... Thank you both for sharing your story with others!!
I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your positive attitude towards life. You could both be very negative given all of your hurdles but you remain strong. You are both so inspirational
I've been thinking about you this week. I am so glad you got another NJ tube. I pray it stays this time. You were getting that spark back in your eyes when you had it last time. Your positive spirit is beautiful!
You two have an amazing testimony. I've only been subscribed a few days to your channel, but I'm blown away with your faith, your trust in God, and the beauty and strength of your bond to each other. Thank you for sharing your struggles with us, and encouraging not oly me, but so many others. Such an awesome testament to our Lord and Savior. You're both in my prayers, and I'm excited to see how God will continue to work in your life.
Mary I was having anxiety about the huge increase in price for one of my medications . All of a sudden you came to mind and what you go through and reminded myself of how small my problem is. Hope second N j tube works for you . All the best . You are one strong girl .
Hey Mary, so glad you got the NJ tube placed back in, now you can continue to get those nutrients you body so deserves. You know what I was thinking?, maybe you can get few hooks positioned through out your home, so that the feeding bag can be hooked up on it wherever you're at in your house, don't wanna stay in one place all the time. Another thing that crossed my mind is, maybe you should avoid coughing if you can because doing so will shift it's placement and well... if you can't that's fine, I'm not a nurse - just a viewer but I believed that's why it came loose the first time. Anyhow I'm so glad that you got back the placement and well I'll encourage you to continue fighting, you're a strong woman, never give up and God richest blessings upon you, your husband and Oliver. Great job.
So happy to hear that your medical team was able to place another NJ, but so sorry about the unpleasant complications. Hopefully, this NJ will stay in and get you feeling better and stronger really soon. It is definitely a HUGE blessing to have a great support team! I don't know what I would do without my awesome support team. I might be taking a "The Frey Life break" because my declining health is giving me a lot of issues and my Grandma won't be living for too much longer. ;( I will catch up with you guys when I can. Take care and God Bless!
Mary, you are my hero ! I have health issues and I don't feel like doing things I need to do, but I sing your little song in my head "Do what you think you can't do" ! So glad Ollie is there with you, too !
This brought back memories of my own. Actually quite tough to watch. Mary you are an inspiration... very strong! Thinking of you and hoping for many happy memories in your future.
You should keep learning more ASL! My boyfriend is deaf and it's so nice to be able to communicate no matter what the circumstances are! Also, learning ASL introduces you to a whole new community of awesome people :)
Mary is the definition of a trooper! Hope this one stays in longer than the last so you can get several days of nutrition in! Peter is so amazing to be so in tune with his wife that he knows exactly what she's "saying".
You two are both adorable and truely amazing. You make me smile everytime and you make my heart sing. Now l know there is such a thing as true love xx.
Have you all considered making a spotify playlist of your favorite worship songs? I would love to follow it if you do! I always enjoy when you share new music you all are enjoying :) Praying that this NJ tube stays in place, does it's job to fuel Mary and doesn't hurt her throat like the last one!
I look forward to your vlogs every single day, more than any other channel. You're a true superstar! You should have merch that says something like, "when you think you cant walk, fly. Do what you think you can't do." That is so inspiring to me. Thank you for sharing your lives with us, and fingers crossed that sucker stays in your gut this time!!💟💟
Great job Mary! And great job Peter! Praying your NJ stays for a long as you need it. I always think of both of you whenever I am in a rough patch. Thank you for being an inspiration. God bless!
You're such a CHAMP Mary! Don't let the people at the hospital run over you. You know what's best for you, they don't - they know the usual routines. It can be so frustrating when they don't listen, but remember that they don't actually know you the way you do! That's what I try to think whenever I get run over. Might not win all the time, but it certainly helps when I feel like something's not quite right. Do what you think you can't do!
Mary, as a retired RN that specialized in GI and performing g and j tubes, you are a true trooper! I am BEYOND PROUD of you! You inspire me to do what I think I can't do every day! And Peter gets the One of a Kind Husband, Best Friend and Dad award! Also, his laugh at the end when he's outside with Ollie, is contagious!!! Your new j tube looked like a new earring before you hooked it up....like a new fashion statement LOL! And if a cop walked by your car when you two were setting everything up to prime the line and hook everything up, he probably would have knocked on the car window to ask questions. To the lay person, things looked kind of questionable 🙀 I am so happy you were able to have the procedure as an outpatient and now you are home. Kelly needs to send you some headbands in different colors to hold back the j tube. I pray you and Peter were able to have a peaceful night❤🙏✝️
I,ve watched for a long time. Just never contacted you both. I,m so sorry to see that feeding tube. We dealt with our son having a feeding tube. He had to use the walmart equate vanilla lactose free. It worked and stayed down.i,m going to ask for special prayer for you from my group of ladies at church, and we,ll be keeping you on there. God bless and keep you both.
Mary you inspire me to accept all the curve balls life throws at us and to be courageous..........especially to count my blessings and be grateful every day. love you guys! always in my prayers :)
Ollie certainly has had lots of noisy toys lately! And my dog has noticed! ;) My dog loves squeaky toys, but he also eats them... Like fully ingests every part of the toy, fabric, plastic, whatever, so we mostly stick to antlers and bones. On a deeper note, I have to say how inspiring you and Peter are together. The way you care for each other and the love you share is visible even through a computer screen. I know no human relationship is perfect, but I admire how determinedly you keep your hearts set on God and on loving each other even when things are tough.
Mary, you are very lucky to have Peter. Not just the fact that he understands what you say when you can't talk but the fact that he's by your side.
shortii12341 I agree! But I think Peter is also lucky to have Mary, having a fighter by your side is inspiring and makes you enjoy things you could maybe take for granted :)
shortii12341 You're right. Not every guy would be so consistently caring & loving. Peter has a servant's heart...the Lord really shines through him :)

Woah!!! That’s amazing-sad but really interesting
But that radiation can still damage the dog’s dna and cause cancer.

Time and time again, these vlogs show that the world definitely needs more Peters.
And positive-Mary’s!👍🏼😊🙏🏼❤️
2 dislikes, so sad people don't have a heart. Mary and Peter deserve a huge thumbs UP!
Mary you are so strong! I know how much of a pain that is to have a tube placed. You handled it like a champ!
so thankful they finally had someone who could get it in for you. Praying for a miracle for you Mary!!

Mary, I've said a prayer for your comfort and strength. You and Peter are such an inspiration when days aren't going well. God bless you both.

I'm such a wimp. Teared up when you were lying there remaining calm during the mess-up. Glad you're through that. Can't wait to receive my sticker.
The first time Mary got the NJ Peter got all her sign language too. It was amazing!

WTG Mary. You didn't throw up this time! I love hearing Olie squeaking his biggest dog Bone toy ever! He loves it so much! I love seeing him being loved and getting treats and toys. It is so important to appreciate our babies and he is such an amazing service dog. So happy things went well. xxOo
I've been with my guy for 15 years and he's great.....I couldn't do it without him!!!! I am blessed!!! But PETER IS A SUPER AWESOME GEM!!!
Peter and Mary.... you are such an inspiration !!! Many prayers and love sent your way. Barb
Do what you think you can't do. I've said this about 20 times today. Thank you for the pep talk in my head👍🏻

Mary, you are an inspiration to us all. Thank you for showing us to be positive through difficult times.
so glad you were able to get the NJ placed without too much pain. Ollie is adorable. Peter is an amazing partner, your lucky to have him!
Thank you ❤️❤️
Sarah Morris i hope it goes well
im so glad u got a new NJ Mary

💜💖💜💖💜💖💜💖💜💖💜🐕🐶
CRAZI.SCOTTISH MURHEAD yes she does she got it in now
Kayla Gibson oyyy is that person back that keeps saying" shes faking, she doesnt need the tube can eat naturally"?? sickening how rude people are
Mary, your strength during these CF procedures is amazing. God bless you
I listen to set my heart all the time now. When I'm scared, when I'm angry, when I'm feeling defeated. I don't know where i'm at with religion (although i admit to not having researched it enough) but it feels like hope. Thank you so much for introducing it to us.
Mary, God Bless you! You are an unbelievably strong person. I pray that our Lord will cradle you in His arms through this difficult time.🙏💖
Why is yawning so contagious?? Should look that up. So happy this procedure is behind you now, Mary......you are one tough cookie! Just part of having a chronic illness, I suppose.....do what you think you can't do! And Peter, I have no words....you are amazing! Thanks for giving us a peek into your lives...you bring us joy!
You did what you thought you couldn't do! You are amazing! I am praying that this will work for you! As always you inspire me.
Mary you are amazing through all of this.
I love Oliver catching the snow. I am also glad for your sake the advancement in CF care over the last 30 years.
Ollie playing in the snow was the best thing I've seen all day! Mary, you're such a trooper--I'm cheering for you!
Dear Mary and Peter
What a day!I really hope you sleep well, awake refreshed and know that you have a beautiful new day ahead with each other and Ollie. You both have do so much to contend with but you always show love, grace and humour.
Mary I've been pretty sick lately, but your strength and will to carry on really gives me a different perspective, thank you.
You are an incredible couple. The love you show for each other is nothing short of amazing
So proud of how positive you are even though times are hard. Stay positive Mary!
Mary you are the strongest person I know! You are in my prayers that this will stay in. Love you both!
You are one strong girl .
u guys r the most beautiful family i have ever seen. i love ur vids, and u warm my heart every time i watch u all. tfs
Great job.
Dr. Peter the multilingual husband and dog father! Love you guys!
Ollie gave me my Laugh for the day. Glad you made it through Mary. I told a lot of nurses at work about your channel to subscribe.
Wow, I am tearing up watching that darn tube placement. You are awesome.
I'm glad its back in and I hope they gave you some meds to help your throat feel better. Love and prayers sweet girl!
Sending you my positive thoughts!!!! God is with you Mary!
You two are both adorable and truely amazing. You make me smile everytime and you make my heart sing. Now l know there is such a thing as true love xx.
"we just made thousands of people yawn" as I yawned. lol. you two make my day so much better. I watch you right before I go to sleep every morning.
Thank you for sharing your lives with us, and fingers crossed that sucker stays in your gut this time!!💟💟
I'm praying that this tube stays in and causes less pain than the last one, Mary!
Great job Mary! And great job Peter! Praying your NJ stays for a long as you need it. I always think of both of you whenever I am in a rough patch. Thank you for being an inspiration. God bless!
Your positivity through all your adversities and trails is amazing. Love watching your vlog.
Praying for a good outcome from the tube! Keep those spirits up Mary! Hugs!
I hope this is super less painful Mary and Peter your such a good guy I'm so glad you guys found each other goodnite
God bless and keep you both.
it's soooo good to have someone there every step of the way!!!
You are so strong and positive Mary! Such an inspiration!
Mary you inspire me to accept all the curve balls life throws at us and to be courageous..........especially to count my blessings and be grateful every day.
love you guys!
always in my prayers :)
Youare so strong Mary! Your faith is so strong, and hopefully this one well stay in!
Happy you got it done and hope your throat doesn't get as sore.
