The angiogram, the Transesophageal echocardiogram, the nicotine patches, the possible cancer from streptococcus bovis bacteremia. I love how much you guys know and teach. It must be wonderful to share a life together. I could only imagine the days where you discuss a complex case together as you decipher it. Also the steps that your husband did to figure out the mesenteric pain were awesome to follow through.

I really like this style of a week in the life, where each of you focus on one patient and delve deep into each step of the diagnostic process. Two things I would really love to see added to something like this would be a debrief after each day where you two talk together (with anonymity of course) about the patient you are focusing on, and get each other's perspective on what the other is seeing. The other thing I'd love to see is a follow up later on (if you could) just checking that patient's records to share the conclusion of their story (how the treatment worked out or what new developments there were). Great video as always!

Right. I used to listen to them from high school. Almost just for the fun while trying to understand, but not really understanding much or forgetting it quickly since its not a typical thing that you learn or see at high school. So, now that I am almost done with my medical lab sciences bachelors, I feel like I understand everything and I am capable of retaining most of the information they discuss in their videos. I wonder if I should go back to the older videos to learn from them, or if that would be a waste since they clearly know their stuff more now then they did a few years ago. And medicine would have slightly shifted in procedures from a few years ago to now, so there might be some medical wrongs done too.

Everyone reading this, I just want to let you know that JESUS IS COMING SOON. As most of us can contest the world is getting darker every day. We all broke our creator GOD ALMIGHTY laws and owed a debt we could never pay but GOD loved us so much that HE sent his SON JESUS to die a death he did not deserve for our sins paying it for us. IT IS FINISHED!He loves us so much y’all! Hell was never made for us! We are called to REPENT, admit that we have fallen short (sinned) and put our trust in the promised savior JESUS and ask him to be our LORD. HE will give you everlasting life with HIM! HE change my life and part of my purpose on this earth is to share HIS good news(GOSPEL). I LOVE YOU! REPENT AND TRUST IN JESUS!❤✝️

It’s actually rly good to hear y’all say you think of the people who want to run but can’t, and use that to purpose to appreciate your own health and able-bodied-ness. I’m laying here in the middle of a chronic pain flare, thinking of how miserable I’d be if I made myself get up and run every day. It’d take days to recover from doing it once. Somehow it’s nice to see someone not taking that ability for granted:)

I love these videos so much, so informative and fun. I am a nurse at a facility which treat patients after a hospital stay before they are ready to go home. (in Norway) We have this sweet old lady who came to us for antibiotic treatment for infective endocarditis. With a picc-line, wohoo, we love picc-lines . Unfortunately this lady has finished her treatment, but she seems to have gotten very weak, and are now bedridden. She was not well before the infection either, she also has alzheimers. So now she is getting palliative care and will soon pass away. She has a big family who visits a lot, and we move her bed into the garden and the sun every day, which she really enjoys.

As an RN, it is so interesting to see the thought process and day to day work that goes into a patient. For example, an RN will get a consent for a TEE, make sure the patient is NPO, holding certain medications, explaining/updating the family, giving report to the RNs that pick up the patient for the TEE, passing off handoff report at the end of the day about everything you are doing. Its just really interesting to see it from the MD side.

I smoked for, much longer than I’d care to admit. I’ve tried patches, gum, lozenges everything.
The only thing that has worked was veraniciline. It does have a long side effect list though.
I’m not sure the contraindications. So that could definitely be a reason.

Eating just a bit more of your protein sources should be enough for the body needs. Don't buy into the protein hype ppl, it's nonsense and will fly over.

Love this new format, Siobhan! Love seeing you and Mark living your best life, traveling, and also having fun while filming in the hospital together. It’s so important to see how you make being a doctor as fun as you can to avoid burn out, and also prioritize your health and nutrition. Also, We’ll go along with anything you guys want to film. Also love seeing grocery shopping & nutrition prioritized… as I’m a Dietitian! 😊
Keep being a ray of light, Siobhan!
