TIMESTAMPS:
The story about the girls who refused to leave their rooms was extra funny when you consider that they locked themselves in because if they came for a concert they couldn't stay all weekend to hold the room if they also want their concert.
The way grandpa asked for sugar, I thought he was going to say "in water" like the movie Men in Black. LOL
So? That's a totally reasonable request if you are a Type 1 Diabetic suffering from hypoclycaemia.
SO THATS WHY MY DAD SAID IN WATER WHEN THAT PART CAME ON!
At this point she is the front desk queen 👑👑
Last one, a few years ago, I accidentally learned how they got into a room with the dead bolt on.
I was traveling with my dog, and took her out first. I wasn't allowed to leave her in the room by herself. Apparently, the dead bolt wasn't opened enough because when I closed the door, it locked behind me. The door would only open a little bit.
I had to go to the front desk and they had to get maintenance up with a special tool to open the door. 😂
3:31 That "no"... :chef's kiss:
Some people just fail to understand the trouble they are causing by being a Karen or a Kevin.... They are so annoying!
Isn’t it Karen and ken?
But still they’re so annoying I swear
My name is Kevin and I kinda feel offended because I’m genuinely a nice person sooooooooo 🥲
@@Mizufox-sm2lp Exactly! Every Karen that I've ever met was a terrific person and much more like Jess than anyone entitled. Let's stop tying people's given names to bad behavior.
Always wondered where they got the karen thing from. My middle name is Caryn ( spelt with a C but said like karen) and I'm soooooo glad now my parents didn't give it to me as my first name but I used to prefer it and actually thought about changing it. X
"things tend to work out" - something you'll never hear me say!
Really enjoying your content! Have never worked in hospitality, but have checked into plenty of hotels. Would NEVER try to pull some of this stuff, but not surprised there are people who do! The only skit you've done that I can directly relate to is trying to check into the wrong hotel. Once I realized my mistake I apologized to the person behind the desk and we drove to the correct hotel. No fuss and no attitude as it was MY fault.
Screw in the bulb and it will stop flickering! If that doesn't work, then unscrew the bulb but don't break it.
Well yeah that’s what people with sense do. But people who think a lightbulb can transform into a camera via flashing are going smash-first
@@DeathnoteBBhonestly with all the new spying technology nowadays I get why they would smash it. But also if it was me I would offer to immediately pay for it 😅it’s still hotel property
@@leeqimin But spying technology doesn’t flash… that would ruin the point
@@DeathnoteBB im sure it doesn't! But that immediate flash fear is real aknsksnsm
@@leeqimin I get an immediate panic reaction but they calmly and lucidly explain their logic to her like it was the only understandable course of action
I have to say you've got some acting chops - playing all those characters 😂
I'm actually not a fan because the customer is always the bad guy but I keep coming back because the skits are so well done.
She does have a few skits with genuinely nice customers, however it is true that more often than not hospitality workers deal with entitled j3rks
In the leisure industry, the customer is *always* the bad guy. Even the good ones! 😂
No offense meant but you sound like you’ve never worked customer service 😂
@@DeathnoteBB I worked for Comcast. Couldn't get out of there soon enough 🙄
The first time I was surprised by the $50 hold per night but to be honest I got the money immediately upon releasing the hold. It wasn't even a big deal.
The beard on grandpa sent me 💀💀💀💀💀
Anything a guest does at a hotel regardless of it being 110% the guest fault, the hotel is always blamed. Of course being Loss Prevention, I got to throw out lots of problem guests. Usually obnoxious parties, but non-payment, and unauthorized late checkouts.
I would go ahead and cancel the Monday reservation too, and ban them from the property for one year.
Yeah, I would think their business is not worth the hassle.
I was just watching the playlist of these videos when you uploaded this! 😂
I love your little skits I’ve learned a lot thank you
So these girls didn't bother trying to find another hotel in all the time they were there? Ugh... if it had been me, I probably would have just slept in my car for the weekend before going back on Monday to use the shower. Then again, it is possible the girls didn't have a car, but still, gotta plan better.
The girls did mention how expensive it was when they came down to attempt to extend their stay on Friday morning. I guess that they didn't realize that hotels change their rates when a big event like a concert is in town.
I've been to SF conventions where all the downtown hotels are pre-booked by the convention a year in advance and the only available rooms are airport hotels and ones outside the downtown core. A few may get released last minute, but you're looking at an hour plus commute if not with the convention.
For a big concert it's entirely possible that there's simply nothing available.
They did try to look for alternative accommodation after checking in, but that was way too late - they should have done that upon realising that the hotel was sold out on the weekend, and it's honestly unbelievable that they didn't.
Video suggestion: react on hotel front desk scenes from movies. Two examples I can think of are the opening scene from Crazy Rich Asians, and the hotel scam scene with Sandra Bullock in Ocean's Eight.
Take it up a notch. There are dozens of films and series which take place at hotels and resorts, she could do full reactions. Notable examples include: The Hotel New Hampshire (1984), Hotel Rwanda (2004), The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014), Fawlty Towers (1975-1979), and Benidorm (2007-2018).
Oooh, GOTTA include Home Alone 2 in there!
@@cmlemmus494 Don't forget Fawlty Towers
1:22 I wouldn’t have figured you for an MtG fan!
someone gift a lint roller to the manager on xmas 😂
Thank you so much for making these videos! You're helping me with my verbage with some of the difficult guests I have run-ins with. You're awesome 😎
As a grandchild of peculiar grandparents Weird grandpas are the best❤❤❤
I remember I saw a grandpa shorts, and I thought it was a random grandpa 😅😂
Love yr content
Love your videos ❤😂
In the first time I saw the sketch about girls who didnt make another reservation for weekend I couldnt think of it cause I didnt know it was a thing, but looking back at them, their mind set is really giving 'lucky girl' vibes. Like if they made a reservation, they would have broken it. There is gonna be a cancellation cause I am a lucky girl.
I could never work in hospitality.
Jess, have you ever done housekeeping before? I think if you have, it's been for a short time!!!! And youuuuu have forgotten how hard and disgusting it can be, and usually is!!!!(NO HOUSEKEEPER WEARS ANYTHING WHITE!!!!!!!) 😂!!!!
When you bought the same tie-dye pikachu shirt at Hot Topic as Jessica, you know you made the right fashion choice.
(To be in a hotel skit)
I am impressed how many outfits you have. Love it
I 💖 your Sapphire Eyes.
I love your videos!
I love hers toooo
7 MINUTES WOHOO
Got in before the 5 min mark lets gooooo
sooooooo gooooooooooooood
I love hotels 🎉❤
Whenever someone at my convenience store job threatened to call corporate, I would ask if they wanted me to write down the number for them, or would they prefer to use the store phone and I could just dial it for them on the spot. A few took the nimber home; nobody ever took me up on callong from the store phone; no complaints ever came back to me.
I love grandpa.
I've never been this early
1:21 her holding Magic cards (random detail I noticed)
My teacher is named Mr.Martin aswell.💀 3:37
When Taylor Swift hits a small town, there's BUPKIS available.
I wouldn't call Orlando a small town, but I'm sure you're right about Taylor Swift because otherwise those girls would have no trouble finding a guy willing to share his room for a couple of nights. 😺😺
@@HariSeldon913Why would they share a room with a total stranger? That’s terrifying
The security guy got through the deadbolt?
Deadbolts open from both sides, especially if you have a master key. Perhaps you are confused about what a deadbolt means in this instance?
5:35 can’t. The customer just wait until Friday to extend her time. I did not create that whole entire fight and I mean the customer not you.
"IM JUST GOING TO CONTACT CORPRATE!"
Translataion....
"IM JUST GOING TO EXTEND MY MIDDLE FINGER, SIT ON IT AND SWIVEL!"
The weirder the story, the more likely she actually experienced it.
Last story:
In the case of overstaying guests, i hope the hotels can shutdown any particular room's power, ventillations, water... Except for the phone that is connected to the front desk.
Not necessary in most cases, as security or maintenance have tools for getting in even with the security lock on.
Mac Donald's have jobs for such people.
I’m a writer and now I really wanna make a series kinda like greys anatomy but instead of hospital it’s hotel
Hiii
People actually do that too. Think they can commandeer the facilities
Hi do you play magic the gathering? Or are they in your hands by chance?
Just to warn you light bulbs can explode - happened to me once
Especially when someone hits it with a pillow lol
Did anyone noticed Jess was using a bottle of something as her phone?😅
How did the security guard get through the deadbolt?
security guards have keycards that are different from the standard master key, which allows them to undo deadbolts as well
@hmbHealer , it's a mechanical tool for undoing most deadbolts.
There are accommodations waiting for you in the local jail.
I just seen you have magic cards
the fact that all the boys always wear hoodies
I would guess Jessica does that to hide her long hair.
@JaniceinOR ye ik
I actually have people who refuse to leave my hospitals they're using as a hotel room. Especially during cold season.
That's an expensive hotel room!
I was in the hospital for 2 days last month, and my bill before insurance was $14,000 dollars.
@Colleen1701 let me know when you pay the overhead to maintain that building. The staffing, the building maintenance, the electrical, the equipment, and everything else. Then tell me it's supposed to be a dollar store.
@ Yeah. They charged me $10.00 for 2 ibuprophen. Justify that one.
@Colleen1701 well hell, you make those pills YOURSELF then. By all means, by the binding agents, the active ingredients, you mix it, compound it correctly, you test it to ensure purity and dosage, and then you go right ahead and pop it. How's that.
@Colleen1701 by all means you produce that pill. You import the ingredients. You mix it, you check its dosage and purity and then YOU charge WHATEVER you want for it.
The grandfather sketch is funny for British people because if someone can't use the stairs, why put them on the first floor?
Also most hotels of the size most of these are set in would have a lift.
@@madabbafan
How can you tell how big the hotel is? I have stayed at many places in the US with over a hundred rooms on just 2 floors, with no lift/elevator.
@@JaniceinOR because in the other sketches set in it the hotel has 8 floors
@madabbafan
I do not think it is always the same hotel, as these stories come from many different places. Even just thing Jessica has experienced coukd be from any of the hotels she has worked in.
I saw the deck; what's your favorite card?
Wait you play mtg? Awesome
How does security get passed the deadbolt?
Deadbolts can unlock from either side if you have a key.
hahahahahaha
She doesn't know that her grandfather is a Type 1 Diabetic? Asking for sugar is totally reasonable request if you are suffering from hypoclycaemia.
Oh. No. Not. Corporate.🙄
are there hidden camera in most of the hotels? I though it was just sketchy motels and hotels.
I highly doubt it, but in this case, even if there were, they certainly wouldn't be equipped with a flash - that would defeat the whole purpose of being a hidden camera.
No, that person was being paranoid.
Honestly, I can not quite fault the first couple too much. A little much, maybe, but not completely unreasonable.
It isn’t unreasonable to break a light bulb because its sputtering triggers your paranoia to think it is a camera? I hope you are kidding. Is your microwave spying on you too? If so seek professional help.
You think it is reasonable not to apologize for smashing the bulb and causing broken glass everywhere?
The light bulb one is kind of stupid.. I understand the fear but??? destroying the LIGHt that only SIGNIFYS theres a picture/video being taken isn't going to.. stop the camera itself... not that there was a camera but. still.
