My partner let me cut his hair today after your tutorials made me feel super confident to do it. He has rated it as "yeah that's sound" so i think i did well! 😂 Thank you!
been through the gamut of all things DIY (first time baking bread anyone?) and hours. I mean HOURS of hair cutting vidoes.. (thank you COVID-19)...I promise I am not exaggerating 🏆
This is not hyperbole, this is TRUTH! My son has mental illness and often doesn't know how to ask for what he wants, as he's very shy. At the barber shop, he tells them "short" so he ends up with an unflattering military cut. He has beautiful thick wavy hair, and I've always wanted him to get a cut that's longer on top, like this. I've cut his hair since COVID, and I'm getting a feel for it. However, your instructions are exactly what I needed! So many great tips. His hair is very dark, almost black, but his beard is flaming red and very kinky/curly. No idea how his genetics came up with that combo, but I think it looks very cool. I did find out recently that my grandmother, who I was told was Cherokee, was actually Welsh and so was my grandfather. They had black hair, olive skin, and dark brown eyes. I read that many Welsh and so-called "black Irish" have North African ancestors. That would be cool by me! Maybe there's even some Viking thrown in there too!😃 It's all good.
My darling hubby's cheap and wants me to try cutting his hair. He works from home so he reckons if it all goes horribly wrong it won't matter much! This video was very helpful, thank you. BTW - Loved the voiceover. I actually think more people should do them. The end results are quite often better than live recordings, with more details, fewer/no Ums, Errs, etc.
I’ve watched a few of your videos now and I’d just like to thank you for such detailed explanations for what you do. I’m not a barber, but I’m beginning to cut hair and your videos are extremely useful! Thank you!
You're a fantastic teacher! I've been cutting my sons' hair sporadically for the last 25 years without many complaints, but my youngest (13 next week) is much more particular than his older brothers ever were. He was extremely pleased with his haircut today and I have to say it is the best I have ever done by far. Very much thanks to this video and your scissor cut video, the best I've watched.
Thank you man. I have started cutting my kids hair. Saving a lot of money now after watching your video. It’s $25 a hair cut at barber shop here in USA 😮
Most in depth, and useful haircut tutorial I’ve found. I’ve been cutting my husband’s hair for months. He’s been growing the length out on top, so after fading the sides, I’ve only blended it into the top so far, but he’s ready to cut off some top length. I had no idea how to even begin 😂 This helped so much!
This was excellent man, I have an Italian friend with this exact hair type and I cut his hair regularly. But this is the video I needed to get the confidence to take it to the next level, awesome job. Thanks a ton for sharing!
So,I just "happened" upon your video while looking up how to cut men's hair so my elderly father doesn't have to go out for a haircut(and honestly is never happy w the work when he does). His barber died a couple yrs ago, after 50 yrs-yes, FIFTY YEARS- of cutting my Dad's hair. He did the straight razor shave and everything. But now he can't find anyone who is able to do a comparable cut. But what I really wanted to say is that I have taught ppl to ride and train horses most of my life and making the information understandable can be a challenge. But wow,are u a FANTASTIC TEACHER!! It's often just "assumed" that if u know how to do something, then surely u can teach others to do it,which no doubt u already know,is not always the case. But yeah, you're fantastic. Thanks so much for such great (UNDERSTANDABLE) info! You have taken the "mystery" (😅)out of how to do a men's haircut for me. I thank you so much.(I'll let ya know if my Dad thanks you too...after we see how I do lol😉) Cheers!
I love how you added those arrived and other graphics or how you used a manekine to explain it’s so Easy to understand this way thank you! You’re an amazing teacher! Used your other video few months ago and my boyfriend was satisfied so he trusts me with His hair again today😃
There are plenty of great barbers here on YT, but your videos are the ones I always come back to when I need a refresher or when I just want to learn something new. Thanks for being so generous with your knowledge and making it so accessible for us amateurs.
I am very grateful to you for doing the voiceover for this video with a translation into Russian for me. I have been looking for a video like this for a long time. I cut my family's hair myself. This translation is much better than the automatic subtitles. Now everything has become clear to me.
I did a longer version 1940s does 1920s My mother was a cosmetologist i grew up in a salon she passed in 2015 bless her. She'd love your videos. Im gonna gave to get pair of clippers like yours thank you
Thank you. Ive winged/done my childs hair for past maybe 13 yrs and this is the best clipper, scissor video. I'm not a professional and have made many mistakes but slowy have gotten the hang of it by just using scissors and videos that guide me.

Thank you for this easy guide. I do my hubs at home since hair cuts are now astronomical and a clipper set is the cost of half of one. I needed this one! I’ve been doing okay after watching some other guides but this was VERY comprehensive in 15 minutes!!!
Love all these videos! Thank you so much for sharing. Mom of 5, 2 boys. No barber here but I am enjoying learning and getting better every time we give it a try.
This has helped me understand the difference of how to move my clippers on the head. I never quite understood until you described and showed us. Thanks 😊 as a cosmetologist we don't really know these things especially if we don't do a lot of men's cuts
Thank you for the video. I am a mom of 4 boys and I cut their hair myself. There are so many great tips in here that I will start using. And I am sure their haircuts will look professional now instead of the “my mom cuts my hair” look, lol!💙
I've been cutting my husband's and my son's hair for about 12 years. I'm not bad for being untrained! Must be a past life thing. Anyways, now that the 13-year old wants a style, I'm so nervous. Your video took away all my anxiety. I understood your directions perfectly and am going to tackle his haircut with more confidence. Much love to you for this amazing video.
Been struggling alot with my cuts this week mainly connecting the top and sides this helped alot iv started missing key steps iv noticed trying to be fast so thank you
Great video, thank you very much! I've been cutting my kids' hair for almost ten years now and worked out some of the techniques by trial and error, but everything makes much more sense now. I'm sure I'll get much more consistent results much quicker now that I've got the rest of the pieces of the puzzle.

AH I'm so relieved to find this video!!! Thank you for your videos. You make is so easy to understand because you keep it all simple. I’ve learnt so much just by watch you. Especially with the clipper work. Pls keep these videos coming. 🙏🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Voice over wins by a mile! Many craftsmen with years of experience are making youtube videos and when they try to do it and explain it at the same time, live, a beginner get an overload of info because the expert try to explain so much at one time. It makes it harder to follow. I enjoyed this tutorial very much. Your model looked great afterwards.

I loved voiceover instead of live voice.
Thank you Ray
Me too. It was so instructive and also therapeutic 😂. Thank you

Thank you
