This is the most beginner friendly tutorial for your classic gents cut, and covers all your essential techniques beginner barbers will learn and apply in barber school. I've started out doing cuts in schools and am doing these kinds of cuts mostly, so this video was really helpful. Your method is pretty much identical to how I am being taught too!

I want to say, “Thank you so much!!!!” My husband was getting a haircut every 6 weeks and thought maybe we can save some money and have you (me 😮) try to cut his hair. I watched your video this morning and dove right into its with some guidance from my hubby and your amazing tutorial about the guide, I did it!!! He looks really good!!! He and I were nervous when I busted out the scissors but it worked!!! Thank you so much for this beginners video. You rock!!! 🎉

Thank you. You are the best. When covid started and all of the shops closed I discovered your channel, bought a $60 clipper and have not been to a barber since. Who knew cutting hair could be so easy, thanks to a great teacher. After several years my wife asked me to cut her hair. She said it was better than some of the pros that she had paid big bucks. They tended to always cut it shorter than she had requested. I also convinced her to let her beautiful silver hair to go natural.

I have been a stylist for over 30 years. I have paid for classes that were less thorough than this. To make cutting the nape easier, I ask my client to uncross their legs, push their butt to the back of the chair and bring their chin to their chest. I’m trying to get an easier fade mastered so I have more of your videos to watch. Thank you.

I did hairdressing when I was 17 but I left before qualifying. I have two boys, 14 and 16 and they have high functioning autism and won’t go to the hairdressers and so I have to cut their hair. I have the basics but have never felt confident doing their hair. My 16 year old goes to college next month and I knew I had to get some tips and watched one of your videos last week. I did both of their hair and not only was it the quickest I’d done them but they were the best haircuts I’ve ever done on them. Thank you so much. 🎉

My mom was a Cosmetologist in the 80's, so I grew up learning the basics of cutting both men and women's hair, I can perm, and dye hair. I've been cutting my boys hair for a long time now, but I always have trouble with blending. Your video helped me so much and I love your accent!!!❤ Thank you so much!

THANK YOU! ❤ I have been cutting my husbands hair for over a year now and he hates sitting for too long so I can never get it even close to perfect. This was so helpful. I watched it and then cut his hair again. I was way faster and it just felt more structured and organized so I was less flustered. It went by so fast and effortlessly this time, that we both enjoyed the process more. ❤ thank you so very much for sharing your knowledge with us.

Absolutely one the very best videos online for a regular mens HC. To the point, exceptionally educational and helpful. Most videos on social media are on skin fades which is the current popular cut especially for younger, active gents. However, the regular cut will always be timeless and is the ‘go to’ when you consider a wider age range. Thank you for all you do. You’re a classy gentleman much appreciated! Greetings from San Diego, CA.

I always have tried to follow the bone because it seemed the most sensible thing, so I was not far off.

I love this! Thank you so much for this very helpful information. I really appreciate your technique.
A couple of fun facts about sonevof your terminology (I think?):
What you call "cutting off the corners" we call "blending' in the US. I've seen it done with scissors, clippers, thinning shears, and even razors. I guess it depends on the stylist's preference.
What you call 'fringes' we call 'bangs' in the US.
I am no pro as you are but I think, hopefully, I nailed the terms and translations.

My Son is Autistic. I’ve been training myself to give him a good cut. He has sensory issues so I kinda complicates the cut. The crown is so hard for me.

I have been cutting my hair or younger brother's hair since i was 14 years old (nearly 16 years ago) and as of November 19 2023 I own my barbing company, I knew the comb(s) was a gold mine but this video proved it.
Thank you. God bless you. In Jesus Name. Amen

I just cut my husbands hair for the first time. He does not look like he was ran over with a lawnmower. I am impressed. Years of watching my Mum cut hair at her home salon in the country may have showed me basic technique.... I was petrified to be honest. Your videos are great.
