[Instructional Book] Paracord Fusion Ties Volume 1: amzn.to/2VR8Arl
The Double (2-Strand) Diamond Knot has long frustrated and confused paracord knot tyers. Leading most to abandon attempts at tying this substantial and elegant knot. Be that as it was, my hope is that the following video alleviates the confusions caused by books and (other) presentations. Put simply, I show you clear well-paced instructions for how to tie the knot. Video Production by J.D. Lenzen of Tying It All Together.

    EXCELLENT VIDEO!!!!
Taught me in about ten minutes what Kev the Paracordists video couldn't teach me in a year of trying and repeating.
Really nice and slow tutorial, good clear defined colours.
    GO RAIBH MÍLE MAITH AGAT!!

    Thanks for the video!
I have no trouble with the knot, but i can't seem to manage to tighten it without having excess rope on the top/start of the knot (so that it sits flush with a lanyard for example)... any tips?

So after 3-4 tries, I *finally* got this right from the book (so I guess I won't return them, maybe I'm not totally hopeless at this!) My question is why do you do a bight, then just pull it through vs weaving the loose end over-under-over the right side cords (step 4 in the book, 1:22 in the video)?

    Hi JD,
Is this video different to the 2 strand diamond in your book? The book seems to miss some of the steps in the vid.

Do they have to be 4ft lengths? The book says 5in. cord ends, minimum length. I just want to play around with this to start, so what's the minimum length scraps I could use please? Thanks!

Marlene I have those days. What I find to help me is that I pause the video at each segment after he is done and moves his hands to show what it's suppose to look like at that point. While this does add some time to making the item, it helps me tremendously when doing a new knot and I usually get it right the first time. I have even re-winded to see how he tied it when I am having a particularly hard time getting it.
