I used a 1 1/4 inch ball bearing. I haven't figured it out yet but that number of wraps isn't enough. The ball isn't covered completely and there are obvious spaces.
To weave such a product, you must have a reinforced paracord.Incredibly complex product in execution.It doesn't even make sense to do this.The usual cord gets confused,slips off and it is not possible to braid the ball correctly.I don't understand - why does the author post video lessons that can't be repeated?

You stated in the video this is a 1 inch ball with 2- 6' lengths of cord and I'm wondering what length of cord to use for an 1 3/8ths ball? Thanks again.
I wish I could wrap my brain around learning to think upside down and backwards. Once I have a knot or weave down I don't forget it but learning when I have to stop the video often so I don't miss something, I would need an extra hand to run the mouse. But what the heck, with this self quarantining I have nothing better to do to take up the boring time at home. Being retired has its advantages and disadvantages.

Make 2 of them 9 years ago from glass/stone fiber rope for fire poi usage. Stil have them and burn them occasionaly.

You could put lacing needles on all 4 ends and weave per usual. It makes picking the weave order a lot easier
