I'm glad you made that video. It's important that people keep an eye on those who are trying to censor us.
13 years and youtube still does this.
Failing to feature good videos is on thing, but now UA-cam has made it even more difficult to search by removing the ability to sort results.
So now, even actively seeking out quality videos takes considerably more time and effort.
Just another way to help promote bullshit? I think so.

I suggest we all raise the issue with UA-cam. It would also be wise to be polite and just point out their errors. The rational truth should not be censored.
There's no nefarious or nebulous agenda. Just the standard corporate PR ideology.

UA-cam made a ridiculous move by removing Pats 'Welcome to Saudi Britain' video. Not only should they reinstate it immediately, they should fucking feature it. Whatever happened to free-speech? Pffff
This has been going on for months.
My position has always been, if enough dissent is vocalized and people start leaving, competitor websites will cater to that crowd. But that's because I'm economist, and I foolishly think that the Free Market will prevail. Pfft, yeah right!
Removing the "Most Viewed" honors is the difference between a video getting 100,000 views and 500,000 views. It stinks.
It may be if they continue with this sort of behavior. But then, Pat must have known he was pushing his luck in stating that an entire nation's population is mentally ill. Whether that breaches UA-cam's codes I don't know, but it is utterly stupid and gratuitous.
... and the United States is no longer listed in my Site list at the top right corner of the page, it disappeared around the same time as the Most Viewed.

Condell hardly rates as "brilliant", but the removal of his video is disturbing.
That said, UA-cam is a private business and as such is not bound by concerns over free speech. Sadly, commercial interests hold sway. Not sure how we get around that fact.
I don't know. Who owns UA-cam? What are their commercial interests and concerns? UA-cam is NOT a free speech venue. Never has been.
People who cherish the truth cannot be religious, so you'll never find those two things in abidance.

The Purpose is to SERVE God in whatever area He places us. One can be a "garbage man" and still serve God. God has given each of us special talents and abilities. He wants us to use those abilities to serve Him. If we are walking with God each day...HE WILL LEAD us to those who are seeking Him. This little UA-cam ministry is but a small part of my day serving God.

CapnO, TAA and Condell(until yesterday) have been off the viewing honors for the last 4-6 months. That's some glitch.
No, it's called WHINING. Feedback is constructive criticism. They're method of censorship might also be called 'feedback" regarding the content of some of these videos...
Pat's censored video should be uploaded thousand times and youtube preassured until Pat is able to exercise the basic human right of freedom of speech. This is an absolute disgrace for youtube to censor one of its brighest users! Freedom for Pat!

It was not secular people in Denmark who wanted to restrict freedom of speech. It was Muslims all the way. Any criticism was seen as an insult, and, for some unknown reason, they thought religion was somehow above the law. It is not.

yeah, you're right. somebody's fiddling with the ratings and honors. it's not purely user generated. but hey, UA-cam isn't a democracy, even though it implies that it is by having a rating system and metrics labeled as such.
Comedians fall into the same category as preachers, lawyers, and politicians. All are trained in the art of public speaking and understand how to use emotionally manipulative rhetoric. Comedians have an advantage because it's kind of understood that they can get away with being more outrageous and not have to kiss the public's ass to win an elected office. John Stewart (American) has recently been called one of the most influential voices in politics. Also look up Bill Maher...

Stating that an entire nation is mentally ill could easily be interpreted as hate speech. That's the statement over which UA-cam pulled the video. I disagree that it reaches the status of hate speech, but it is certainly a stupid statement; one that could only appeal to the foolish, bigoted and/or logically challenged.
I find YT's censorship regime very suspect, but they're a commercial enterprise and entitled to run it their way, just like admins of any discussion forum.

You've almost completely misunderstood my point. I made no commentary on whether such general corporate behaviours where immoral, though I do believe they are. Only that You Tube's motivation for this is neither hidden(Nebulous) nor wicked(Nefarious). They are simply doing what is right for them. As for corporate America, that is not within the confines of this argument. Don't draw too a long a bow there matey.
back to pat. his is an important voice. sure, he's angry, but not full of hate. his work is well-researched, and his message deserves to be heard. look for balance in what he's saying. it's there. he's identifying, for good reason, religion as a basis for much of what ails mankind. it rings true for me. 100%.

Stewart is a genius compared to Condell. Nevertheless you're right about the fact that comedians are generally allowed more rope. Maybe Pat took a little too much this time and hanged himself.
It's easy enough to dismiss the more absurd aspects of religious conviction, but theology in general has levels of sophistication that are not so easy to eradicate - but they need to be because they give succour to the less sophisticated.
As to religious law *now* being acknowledged by Britain law - that is untrue. Jewish religious law has been functioning in Britain for ages, and I might remind you that your head of state is the head of your state religion. Get rid of those first.
Pat has been put back on the top all time comedy sub page. Although he should also be No2 comedy this week and isn't there! I noted on his channel 3rd Dec that I was 19,337 sub an now he has 20,220.

An elementary rule of Scripture is that God has deliberately included seemingly contradictions in His Word to snare the proud. He has hidden things from the wise and prudent and revealed them to babes (Luke 10:21) purposely choosing foolish things to confound the wise (1 Corinthians 1:27). If an ungodly man refuses to humble himself and repent of his sin and instead desires to build a case against the Bible, God gives him enough material to build his own gallows.
If you've got constructive crtiticism or an idea to make their product better, they'll listen, but whining because some brands of hate, (or whatever you choose to call it) are restricted while others are allowed does nothing. If you don't like it, cancel your membership. Crap coming from the likes of Pat Condell, et, al., have plenty of venues. YT can be completely irrational about their approach if they choose. We can make the ultimate protest and leave if we want.

You might want to consider that not liking what a religion does or believes is not an argument that it's untrue. To establish that you need better than the comedic fluff that Pat generally offers. But, if that's all you can handle, fair enough.

While I agree this is bullshit, you have to remember: nobody has the "right" to post on youtube. It's run by a company, and they have the right to do whatever they want to videos. You agree to that whenever you upload one. If it was government run I would be more concerned, but it's not. So, while they may be censoring and lowering the views of brilliant videos, be glad there are any at all.
What do you expect, Pat. They do not want to be in a Jihadist decapitation video. That would make most viewed on youtube

I'd be willing to bet that only the poorest of people would not be silenced by the threat of legal action. Which I'm sure You Tube faces on a daily basis. Asking You Tube to give you a medium for your freedom of speech is asking them to pay for your freedom of speech. You and I risk nothing to speak here, while they risk their very business.
