Great that the community had something in the works to offset the lack of a new conventional Digimon game over the past few years. Thanks for signal-boosting.
I have been boosting Digimon for years, far more than Bandai ever tells most people what is going on. Glad I could help some people learn about this game.
The part where Leomon lost immediately must've been intentional, if not it was coincidentally funny. Cool showcase, absolutely starved for a new digimon game!
He beat me the first time I fought him, so I might have over trained a little before going back lol. He's the first boss, so even in fan games he has to get beat down. It is nice to have something new to play and talk about.
this game was a fanmade but gameplay was top notch❤️❤️❤️💯💯 wasn't expected fanmade digimon games was like this beat the bandai...all praise to dragonroad for making this👑
DragonRod Art did an amazing job for how few were working on this. Faster than Bandai to make it, more personality and heart in the sprite work. It really is impressive.
i don't know if you already know this but, you can use keyboard for the command. Shift = Guard, Z = Melee, X = Range, C = Jump, Space Bar = Ultimate/Special move. you can also use space bar to proceed a dialog instead of mouse click
There are certainly a lot of different aspects from many games. The largest of which is probably Digimon Championship, but many World games are here as well. It show what Digimon could be if it didn't change as much and stuck with more mechanics I suppose.
Additional comment for algorithm gods. And thank you for doing review i had no idea this was out. I am having a blast. It reminds me of digimon world 1 with dash od 3. And i love it.
All praise the algorithm. Glad I could spread the word to some who didn't hear about it. It is quite the interesting mashup to be quite unique, I just hope the grind doesn't put me off after too long.
This game is very grindy(it becomes somewhat easier once you unlock tamer skills), but it's a great side game while you're doing something or if you're playing another game.
Yeah it is certainly meant to be a game that takes a while. Low spawn rates and high evolution requirements do make getting most things done take quite a while. It's a great fan project, but not perfect.
@@Rordrik i btw only started playing this week. look for monmon, give him some bannana's. he will give you some as a gift, and after that you get him as one of the random shops. whenever you see him,buy he's stuff lol
World 2 is a lot of fun, with all the ways to make your own Digimon with the DNA. Emulation helping speed things up and all really helps to make it shine. It would be great to see a modern game like it, but I doubt they'll have the courage to do it.
I was gonna ask, but then I looked it up, and GeoGreymon is in there. So I'm gonna play it 💯 Just curious, can the Steam Deck (Desktop mode) play this?
I have seen Geo, Rise, and Shine so far in the game so I can confirm they are there. I am unfamiliar with the Steam Deck so I do not know for sure. There do seem to be videos on UA-cam talking about setting it up so it seems to work.
Well I am glad some people are looking to support DragonRod Art. I mean you support me by the comment, but just making sure everyone knows I am not the creator or taking credit for it.
@Rordrik I completely understand, and ik you didn't make it! Thanks for the vid and reply and I hope the game does well and gets support! I got a cupimon and it's super fun and what I wanted on pc so far
@Rordrik I might have heard about this game from your Channel a few months ago, and saw that it was out. And nice about the mons! Does it take awhile to get to higher evos?
Not yet at least. As a single person project I doubt it will expand that far. There is always a chance, but all that coding and hosting costs for one person would be a lot.
Im on a samsung S24.. did the install anyways and when it tries to install the game it says not compatible with my phone... anyone run into this problem and how did they fix it .
From what I have heard that is a newer 64-bit device and the game was designed on an old 32-bit engine. So the only way to make it work is to somehow run a 32-bit OS which I haven't heard any fixes for yet.
Cyberslueth hackers memory is literally THE BEST digimon game I really wish more people played it , it has an online multiplayer and a phenomenal story
Cyber Sleuth is what I was always recommend people go for if getting into Digimon and looking for a game to play. Nothing too complicated, fun story and characters.
@williansnunezoliden9022 He beat me up the first time I fought him so had to go back for revenge after some training. Apparently more training than I actually needed lol.
Yeah and from little I know of it is unlikely to happen as they charge to licensing fees to put apps on their store then if you ever update you have to have the license up to date or pay again. They don't make it easy.
Can be grindy but there are some Exp booster or some challenges that give you massive exp boost. In challenge, there is one called "Elemental Babies" Lvl 25, you can easily battle them at level 10 or so and gain so much exps till level 30 or so.
It is very like many Digimon games where they is a lot of grinding. I do understand that it could certainly smooth out the start to not make as many things seem impossible without a grind.
And no online features ......... no pvp , no coop missions, like always another digimon game that refuses to have online interaction, a game that is based on the internet and collaborate with one another has 0 online activity........
Sure, it would make sense for Digimon games to have those kind of things. But online capabilities take a lot of work and servers to run it so for a one person team and a free game that is a lot to ask.
@@danteleinguard9079 Bruv, it's a free fan game. Save your multiplayer complaints for Bandai. How are you holding a fan game up to the standards of an actual release?

Not all Digimon game have online features. Yes because the game base on internet stuff does not mean online feature is always needed. In fairness, this is a small team (there is two people working on this not one person to be fair. one for sprite and one on game itself. correct me if im wrong.) only made this simple fanmade game for everyone to enjoy. Digimon Championship on the DS was my favorite game of all time, can't believe how similar this is!!!
A lot of similar music and base raising, just a little bit more control with some World based city repairing.
Digimon Championship got to be one of the best Digimon games out there.
i don't know if you already know this but, you can use keyboard for the command. Shift = Guard, Z = Melee, X = Range, C = Jump, Space Bar = Ultimate/Special move. you can also use space bar to proceed a dialog instead of mouse click
Yeah, I use the keyboard a lot now but in my first bit I didn't use them at all. I didn't know that about the dialog though. Nice to have options.
Thank you for sharing this! Going to download and play it right away! I wouldn't have found them.
Glad I could help. If Bandai won't talk about its own new game then we'll just have to step up and enjoy what we can.
I love how this game took the best part in every Digimon games also assets and put it in one place

The game being grindy is honestly high praise since Digimon games always have some amount of grind.

Always happy to spread the news and let people know what they're getting into with this game.

Wow, that is a lot of wins. I only got up to about 200 so far to make this video.
Is the grind still a lot or with later game things is it lessened?
My only problem is the requirements for some npc and evolution kinda grindy, 10k kill for supplemon and 10 k fir evolution some 8k
