Relax, bro. Btw, isn't Bonus Try the best way to train the Digimon? 🤔 It's been some time but i have the feeling that it can grant more points if used correctly. Maybe it can speed up some things for you. ✌
@@Frg31 you're thinking of the later games. in the og digimon world, you have to deal with a slot machine that half the time is _literally rigged_ to not give you any result but 50% stat gain. there _is_ a result that'll give you x10 the normal stats ... but the slots are also rigged to make it straight-up impossible to get on 90% of tries, so it doesn't actually result in any better stats unless you're lucky enough to get it more than once every ten pulls in theory, you could always aim for the symbol matching the training area for the x4 stat gains and that'll gain you more stats than you're losing from the guaranteed halved stat gains on every other try ... but realistically, your training sessions aren't long enough to normalize the effects of rng, so the theoretical x2.25 stat gains you'd get over a 100 bonus tries are gonna look more like getting 4 forced fails and a single success only worth twice the value of normal training
Ahh that was the same thought I was having. Its a great video though, and its a fun run. But getting his brain up enough to use at least attack will make his numemon a bit more consistent in battle (Well as far as I know, im no digimon expert).
@@TanukiTracks Yea its a battle command you unlock by increasing your brains to 100, if you can get it to 500 you can be more specific and tell your digimon to use specific attacks in battle.
About learning new techniques in this game: the statement made about the Digimon you're fighting does not actually matter -- it's your Digimon's specialty that determines the chances of it learning a new move or not. Take using Greymon or Airdramon to learn megalo spark: the technique is air specialty, and although both the Digimon I named are able to learn and use it, air is Airdramon's dominant specialty -- in other words, it's the specialty that most of his techniques are -- which gives him a higher chance to learn the move; Greymon, on the other hand, has a considerably lower chance to learn the move, since his dominant specialty is fire, not air. With that in mind, every Digimon has a certain percentage to learn each of their moves, although these percentages do appear to be reduced the higher the base damage output the move has, and in certain cases (such as learning buster dive with MetalGreymon, for example) your Digimon is unable to learn the move AT ALL -- though they can still use it if it was acquired before digivolving to that form. As for brains training, it's the same way, except that the chances to get a certain move are lower than they would be to learn the same technique by fighting other Digimon that can use it. In either case, though, the percentages for learning each move are consistent depending on what specialty your Digimon's main/dominant one is -- in other words, any 2 Digimon whose dominant specialty is ice will have the same chances to learn the move giga freeze as each other. But there is no such thing as a certain specialty having an easier or harder time learning new moves, at least as far as rng is concerned. On one last side note: it appears that if you're trying to use brains training to learn new moves, they are apparently unlocked in a certain order, meaning thst the only rng is rather your Digimon will actually learn the next move in that specialty's list once they hit the designated brains stat benchmark or not. Hope this helps!

14:08 had this video on in the background while gaming and this got my attention real quick. one of the most wholesome things I have ever heard. I kinda wanna comment stuff for the game but, the only thig I'll say is that Amida Forest is based on a Japanese "thing" called Amidakuji! Wikipedia: ""Ghost leg" is a method of lottery designed to create random pairings between two sets of any number of things, as long as the number of elements in each set is the same. This is often used to distribute things among people, where the number of things distributed is the same as the number of people". Once you understand amidakuji, you can solve the puzzle easily as well! Take care and this video is really enjoyable!!! When I was a kid I always got Numemon and I trained the brain stat as well, I got a pretty OP attack once (a kind of improved party time).
tiredness doesn't directly lower lifespan, but it does lower happiness which does affect lifespan. Your digimon starts out with the maximum lifespan, and every 4 ingame hours you'll pay a lifespan tax based on your happiness between 0-5 hours. Happy digimon won't lose any additional life, and miserable ones will lose a decent chunk of it. Amusingly this also means that you can ignore feeding a digimon and just praise him to keep his happiness up and he'll live a full life on a diet of air and headpats.
Man i'm really enjoying your videos, you really made me enjoy the game again and I started another save with vice04's patches, is there any chance we may see you play a modded save eventually?
So, as a note, it _should_ be "see-la-mon", since it comes from coelocanth, _but_ according to Digimon Adventure: (2020) it _is,_ in fact, pronounced "koh-el-luh-mon".
@@CrystalPapa oh, especially in the dub. Like, everyone loses their mind about Next Order pronouncing Dramon-species Digimon with a long "a" sound (like "muh-sheen-DRAY-mon" for Machinedramon, instead of "muh-SHEEN-druh-mon"), but that's how they've _always_ pronounced Dramon when it doesn't have something in front of it.

Fun Fact: The North American version of Digimon World had a glitch that made it impossible to reach the final boss. But most People never reached that far anyway.
Do you mean the Orgemon fortress glitch? I'm pretty sure you can still beat the game but you pretty much have to get every digimon recruit that doesn't have to do with Orgemon side quest
Yeah, that's the PAL version. It's still possible to beat the game, though. ...on the UK edition, because a glitch in the French, German, and Spanish versions causes a teleport pad in the final dungeon to simply not work, locking you out of finishing tgs game at the very last hurdle.
@@screwtokaiba Hey Kaiba! Hope you enjoyed the first half of the run! :D I am not absolutely certain what trivia you are referring to 😅. If you don't mind, could you elaborate (or point me in the right direction)?
This may seem strange, but playing the Digimon World DS games a lot kinda endeared me to Numemon. Its overworld sprite is pretty cute. Its battle sprite less so. They really made sure to make its eyes smaller so rather than looking chibi or goofy it just looks terrifying. In that way, the World 1 model is actually pretty flattering. Anyway, eyeball size aside, I like this challenge.

I know that frustration, I'm rooting for MClean to avenge my 8yo self who couldn't finish the game with nothing else but numemons. I didn't know better.
McLean (and the Nume-Family) is carrying the hope of many!
This is amazing and I take my hat off to you for your patience! I can't wait for part 2.
I can't tell you how much this made me smile. I'm going through a rough time, and this is my favourite game of all time, it really brightened my day. I can't wait for part 2! Thanks man!
Thank you for your kind words, friend!
I really hope the rough times go away for you, and get replaced by a lot of good times!
Stay strong!
@@CrystalPapa Thank you so much!
I don't even playa digimon games, but i addicted to the chanel keep it up
I am glad you're enjoying the content, friend! 😇
Mclean III succumbing to his age immediately after he finally bested Meramon was peak fiction.
Insert here that party time song from the awful animated titanic movie, lol
I don't remember that one 😅. I'll go check it out later!
minute 23:43 is the answer for the question "Can You Beat Digimon World 1 With Only Numemon?"...
tech "Poop Spd Toss" via Brain train for easier numemon...
that tech has 'poison' effect and the second tech that can get via braintrain..
no matter how awful the stat, HP reduce from the poison effect is still the same cause it depend of the enemy's HP...
Party time yeey!
I play the trading card game and we JUST came out of a 6-8 month Numemon meta 🎉
Oh I've always been intrigued by the card game, but have never had the chance to actually play it.
Good to know our little green friend had his day in the sun over there! 😇
@@CrystalPapa if you ever do get the chance, I highly recommend it. That’s as a fan of Digimon, of course, but also someone who likes fun games! It’s a blast. Cheers to part 1; can’t wait for part 2 ☺️
@@CrystalPapa I recommend the phone tutorial app! It's kinda limited since it is just a tutorial, but it's pretty fun!
Genuinely the most I've been invested in a digimon run since I watched a blind playthrough on twitch. Excellent video dude. Long live mclean
I was laughing all the time from your commentaries had a great time I am subscribing rn
Thank you for your kind words and support, Jona!
I am glad you enjoyed the commentary! :D
Amazing video, man.
Thank you, Robsonfujiii! :D
I am glad you enjoyed the video! ☺️
Man, Digimon World's particular flavour of jank gives it such a particular charm that I can't help but love it more than the polish of something like Next Order.
Oh boy, can't wait for part 2!
But I'm betting on most end game fights coming down to MP stalling
I am glad you enjoyed part 1, friend!
Who knows, there might be a switch in tactics later in the run 🌚.
love this channel's digimon world videos
I love the video and can't wait for the next one, but I didn't expect to hear such great music choices including from courage the cowardly dog at the end. Huge bonus.
I am glad you enjoyed the video, Jake!
Hopefully you'll like part 2, as well! :D
I remember getting SO frustrated with that fart attack as a kid lol. Didn't help that I was so bad at raising digimon that I ended up with my own Mclean more than a few times.
Really entertaining run to watch. Cant wait for part 2!
This was absolute cinema! Pumped for part 2 😁
14:08 had this video on in the background while gaming and this got my attention real quick. one of the most wholesome things I have ever heard. Pronouncing English words is difficult enough for half of the native English speakers let alone Digimon names in English. Never watched a Digimon world 1 video but you got me hooked dude.
I stopped everything i was doing as soon as i saw this on my feed, been waiting for this one.
I do hope you enjoyed the video, and that it was at least kinda worth the wait 😅.
@@CrystalPapa oh yeah, im here for the journey my guy . I guessed 8 numemon in the post you put the other day, after watching this i think i may have underestimated how crappy of a digimon he is 🥁
If you can manage to do a die hard style montage with John McClean here that would just be the bees knees.
"Ass he passes away" I see what you did there
😂😂😂
We finally get a Numemon movie! Party Time!
I love this game! Thank you for the cool vid, looking forward to part 2
I didn't know about the Amidakuji thing! Thank you for letting me know, Naxafa! :D
@@CrystalPapa My pleasure! As you said, it's better to play this game without knowing so much about it! Keep it natural!:)
HUGE respect for even trying this challenge.
Love your intro and I totally agree! Great video. 🤓
My numemon aways got feed with poop, and I never used the bathroom, didn't knew back then ahahaha, but hey, you are what you eat!
This Numemon is giving me Subaru vibes. 😂
Hype for part 2.
I do remember moving past the Agumon at the start but it involved having your digimon body block it so you can outrun it.
This truly is one of the greatest playthroughs of all time
I always thought the wilting plant was a Tanamon buried underground.
I never thought about it like that! 😬
P A R T Y T I M E
Love the way you narrated the part with drimogemon 😂😂😂
i love this lil green fella 😂
Thanks for the vid! You work fast!
tiredness doesn't directly lower lifespan, but it does lower happiness which does affect lifespan.
Alright this was fun! Excited for the next part!
Challenge runs for new order? If not a problem with jp dub
Cool, when you talked about it last video I was really hipe to see it
Get your brains up and you can focus enemies with "Change" :)
Awesome video! Keep up the Digimon content.
Thank you, Chriss! :D
This is exactly what I expected to see lol
Man i'm really enjoying your videos, you really made me enjoy the game again and I started another save with vice04's patches, is there any chance we may see you play a modded save eventually?
I am glad you're enjoying the videos, Akira!
I haven't really thought about Modded game runs, but I'll look into them when I get the chance!
So, as a note, it _should_ be "see-la-mon", since it comes from coelocanth, _but_ according to Digimon Adventure: (2020) it _is,_ in fact, pronounced "koh-el-luh-mon".
I did pronounce it that way last time, but a bunch of people corrected me on it 😅.
Digimon names can be hard to keep track of, pronunciation-wise 😓.
McLean dying after defeating Meramon made me a little sad.
Same 😓.
Omg I only recently found your channel and was just hoping you meant it when you said you’d do this challenge 😂 Awesome work!
Great to have you here, friend!
I am glad that you're enjoying the content! 😊
Numemon vs the world
Thanks for sharing this vids with us
You are most welcome, friend! 😊
Go get the fishing rod from garbage mountain, then catch Seadramon to carry you to the Beetle island to get Kabutiramon and Kuwagamon to upgrade the Gym
Fun Fact: The North American version of Digimon World had a glitch that made it impossible to reach the final boss.
But most People never reached that far anyway.
Where's the glitch?
Do you mean the Orgemon fortress glitch? I'm pretty sure you can still beat the game but you pretty much have to get every digimon recruit that doesn't have to do with Orgemon side quest
that's the PAL version
Yeah, that's the PAL version. It's still possible to beat the game, though.
...on the UK edition, because a glitch in the French, German, and Spanish versions causes a teleport pad in the final dungeon to simply not work, locking you out of finishing tgs game at the very last hurdle.
Its my first game i played over 1000 hours. I love it. When i die, i want thad in heaven.
Looking forward to Part Two!
Im expecting THAT trivia related to Machinedramon to comes up on part 2 lol
@@screwtokaiba Hey Kaiba! Hope you enjoyed the first half of the run! :D
I am not absolutely certain what trivia you are referring to 😅.
If you don't mind, could you elaborate (or point me in the right direction)?
@@CrystalPapa The elemental weakness of Machinedramon lol
This may seem strange, but playing the Digimon World DS games a lot kinda endeared me to Numemon. Its overworld sprite is pretty cute. Its battle sprite less so. They really made sure to make its eyes smaller so rather than looking chibi or goofy it just looks terrifying. In that way, the World 1 model is actually pretty flattering. Anyway, eyeball size aside, I like this challenge.
I’d love to see a variation of this challenge on a modern Digimon game, like cyber sleuth
Ah yes, the only digimon that I actually understood how to get. And the game I never understood how to win.
Amazing video! MORE!
Thank you, stormjab! More coming soon! :D
after getting your daily ration of meat from palmon you can buy more for 500 bits each.
quite expensive but really the only thing you can do until you get betamon and coelamon into town opening up their shop.
you just go to the forest and farm mushrooms, when you get betamon/coelamon you sell the giant meat and buy regular meats
Keep going great content!
Thank you for your kind words, ZeroZeru! :D
Everyone rags on Numemon, but it was a menace in the Digimon TCG meta for most of this year, consistently being in top 16 worldwide
Truly suckening stuff. That gelatinous green monster can't get away with this
Not the Green Hero we needed, or deserved, but the only one who was available 😅.
