@@Rordrik I'd adore that. While it's still in Beta, 2E's fundamentals have been solidified in a way that future changes will probably only concern number tweaking or certain Qualities. Something I do wanna quickly cover is that there was actually a change to size you didn't recognize and that was the removal of Tiny in favour of the new largest size, Colossal. The goal with 2E and the scaled down Range and Movement is to make battles feel bigger from the get-go. Medium sized Digimon, for example, don't actually take up a whole Space (as they can share it with other creatures). So besides just simplifying it, that was one of the reasons for a lot of changes to anything that interacts with Distance.

@@ZeppyDingus Ah, I see how I missed that since Tiny and Small both could fit into other creatures' squares before I saw the bottom two still could and thought nothing of it. So the base idea is that a standard square is bigger than before? Seems strange, but I'll have to play around with it to see how it plays. Mostly just need to get my Foundry VTT hosting working again. I used it for v1.4.

@nicklord71 Yeah, Digimon isn't the only one it seems they are ignoring. Pretty sure there is a big Gundam Fandom and others.

@Rordrik 100% It's like they're afraid to lose money on the possibility of it failing. Despite the fact it fails because of the lack of investment.

@@nicklord71 Yeah many companies are heavily risk averse, which is understandable. But if you don't either do small projects to expect small consistent returns or a huge project with the proper investment it is tough. The middle ground is the worst.

I am glad to spread the word about all the great fan projects out there. Since Bandai won't give us too many we have to step up to make and enjoy them. It is the best Digimon system I have found so far, at least for what I enjoy. There are a couple others.

It opens up in late game, Chapter 16, so not post game. There are a lot of ultimates and megas there so it can be a fine place to go as well if you want to try some other places.

From what I remember of that game it would need a lot more limited inventory for that. But yeah, DragonArt certainly agreeing with Digimon games should be grindy.

Yeah, this happens a lot with these kinds of games. Trying to get everyone to have that kind of time and drive to keep going in a long campaign can be hard. It has happened both times I've tried to run v1.4. I like the changes on paper, I just have to see in play if they are as clean as it seems.

DDA has been a lot of fun the couple of time I have tried to run it. I am hoping that I will find some people and run another campaign again sometime. A BG3 would be pretty wild. Replace big dragon bosses with Examon and goblins with all the different variations on Goblimon.

@jonathangoodwin5609 TTRPGs can be a hard thing to learn at first. Thankfully with the internet it is all the easier to find ways to learn and people to play with if you are willing to look to find people. Most players are willing to help teach new people to join the hobby.

Even if Ghost Game won't be the most popular series, Gammamon will live on in people's hearts forever it seems. Making your own characters and stories can be so much fun, that's why these games have so much appeal.

@@Rordrik that's awesome and sure most don't like ghost game but I love All of the Digimon series with all of my heart! Wether it's good or bad I still love the series no matter what! Especially Gammamon! Little fella is so adorable and awesome! 😁

I have watched them all, but I certainly cannot say I love them all. Though clearly I still love the franchise as I am here talking about it all the time. I really liked Gammamon early on I just personally wish he grew up and developed over the course of the show outside of maybe the final episode. Then again, no one really changed so its not just him.

I hear a lot of requests for something like that. It confuses me as we got Re:Digitize and Next Order that are the same style of game. I guess nostalgia is just that strong with many fans.

Bandai seems to agree with that idea. Since New Century and this one still show know signs of making it out of China even though the international fanbase is feeling quite forgotten about now.

Correct, that has been in production now for over 8 years and will feature the Olympus XII supposedly. Hopefully we'll hear something at Digimon Con 2025 to give us hope.

If you have the DCGO Application it should auto update now. The older version that was called a standalone had to be manually updated.

Yeah they are still leaving the online client to the fans so we can actually play it. With this world, stories, and tips it really feels like they're building a cool game, but I can't believe them at this point it will actually become one.

I have never played any of the Monster Hunter games. I would have to say that it might be Fatalis, because big old wyvern, but I don't really know the whole list.

They keep building up the 'game' with the tips and story so it sure feels like they will make something out of it, but Bandai has made a lot of odd choices lately with Digimon. They look like they could make a lot of money with any kind of online or mobile card game, but only the fans have made one for us.

Yeah, we have had a lot of different mobile Digimon games come and go over the years now. Though New Century has lasted for over 3 years in China now. The next mainline Digimon game should be the Story game that they have been teasing us with for years now.

Just don't like the business model or aware of how many of these mobile Digimon games have fizzled out in the past?

Yeah, sadly these are a very common these days. If you're looking for the next main game have to be on the lookout for the next Story game that has been 'coming soon' for a long time now.

@DragonsRiver Glad you are excited about it. They are fun games to play. There are a few different systems out there. DDA is my favorite so far. I have run a couple campaigns in it and should do more someday.

I have guide videos on the channel about both games and am in the middle of streaming Next Order. I would say Next Order is by far the harder game to understand and play.

This one is gacha as most mobile games are. We have to wait and hope someday we get the new Digimon Story game to avoid those kinds of things.

Yeah New Century has lasted for a bit now, but many have died over the years. There will probably be new Digimon and possible lore added that can be useful other places at least.
