The rolling around like children comment was gold.
In my opinion is ignorance, arrogance or both. Trying to teach South American countries how to play football properly by a Canadian coach sounds very silly.
@@ramirocambeiro1144 he's not trying to teach them how to play. Simply be a man, and stop rolling around on the ground like a child, if you're not really hurt or injured. So you approve of Latin American men faking injuries, that's what you're saying?
Canadians treated like second class citizens Gold
@ramirocambeiro1144 Totally unbiased comment I'm sure.
The only thing this canadian coach did was cry and cry and suspend all the southamerican coaches one by one, and keep crying about the refereeing with absolutely no reason, while also being favoured by the referees in all their group stage matches with suspicious early red cards and a non-awarded red card for canada. Its disg*ten how he has the face to cry and make himself the victim of a refereeing that favoured him inmensly. He is just doing this constantly in order to set a narrative, not based on reality but on wishfull pet*iness. The ones who were treated badly and disr*spected were the southamerican teams, by hosting their copa america in a foreign country like usa, and being treated like tr*sh. Terrible fields, its a disgrace, and even worse that when footballers talked conmebol and concacaf thr*atened them for speaking about it. I’m from Uruguay living in the us and I’m amazed the progress of the Canada team , just keep moving forward coach you are doing great 👍
Canada's soccer sucks, they only hire Brits and Irish coaches who only pick tall and fast black guys but NO substance or intelligent coordination, just like Senegal or Cameroon who never go anywhere. You can't go far with fast and tall guys. A football that only involves long passes and brute force will never win against Holland, Argentina or even lesser teams like Denmark or Switzerland that play like chess.
@@alienlatino2945 That is a very simplistic comment. National sports teams in Canada are hampered by geography; our best players are frequently separated by distances that span a continent--if they are not on another continent entirely. It can obviously be difficult to achieve a real cohesion between players. However, the quality of the players is improving, as is the MLS (our geographically enormous "domestic" league in which we are dwarfed by the US). The better the players become, the better they can adapt to being sporadically thrown together to form a team--our hockey superstars generally manage to do ok.

I agree with Canada 100% and is sad that only now people start coming out to say what is wrong with all of this. soccer needs to be reformed and Canada played with dignity and more respecte than any other team or fan base.
No one respects canada. Commebol doesnt like concacaf. What u expect
@@DominicanKnight to respect each other as it should be, it should not matter who it is.
@@DominicanKnight I mean, considering we got the results needed to eliminate every team we faced safe for the current world champions who have only lost two games this decade and we did that despite all the BS we faced then maybe they ought to respect us a hell of a lot more then they do!
On a broader note, this whole thing was supposed to be a mutually beneficial arrangement. We get the experience of a big tournament outside of the WC and they get North American money and media to help them in their ambition of rivaling outside of the Euros. I expect Conmebol to uphold their part of the bargain and give us a fair shake in the tournament they invited us to.

If that was a South American, he would still be writhing.
Wow. Much respect to team Canada. Well earned after reaching the final 4 and almost winning 3rd place, but even moreso now after this. Team USA has my full support to steal this guy to the USMNT side. Lord knows we need this kind of discipline and gravitas.
When discriminating hits home! Now he has a better understanding of what it’s like to be marginalized as people! It’s real.
I am a South American living in Canada for 36 years and this video made me cry of happiness and being proud of being Canadian!! Made the trip to New Jersey to watch the semis and came back with my head up and my heart full of joy... Love this national team
Thank you so much for this comment!! Made my day!
Loving this team and coach!🙏🦫
If usa will still host the world cup, theres a lot of work to do!!! They are miles and miles away from world cup level stadiums and fields. I am southamerican, and all our fields are really bad compared to europe (except el monumental from river plate) because we have no money only talent and passion. But the usa fields were even worse!!! And that is a lot, its a feat in itself!!

I am a Colombian living in the US. Canada has a special place in my heart and it is sad that your first Copa America experience was such a negative one. Canada played beautifully and the team should be proud for their achievements in this tournament 👏🏼🇨🇦💕
Canada is gonna surprise loads of teams if they keep up this level of professionalism
this coach is great canada has found their coach no doubt the way he speaks about the game , his players , and doesn’t hold his tongue with speaking his mind in depth. i’m a salvi american and can appreciate great coaching on a great young team. go canada !
Jesse, thank you for upholding what Canadians have been saying for years. FIFA has to clean up this crap.
This man speak truth! Copa America needs to do better. The flopping is unreal and what happen to the families of the Uruguay team was inexcusable! Now add the fan crush at the final, the whole thing is unacceptable!
I really appreciate how both Marsch and Bielsa are not holding back in their criticism of the bosses responsible for these various problems. They understand that the only possibility of getting them to do better in the future is to put them under massive, serious, internationally publicised heat.
Great job Jesse and the team. Inspiring on field, off field, on camera. Bravo
Something a lot of the traditional soccer countries are not happy about it the fact that countries like Canada and others are closing the gap and are very competitive with most countries in the world.
As far as the south American countries go Canada finished ahead of most of them in this tournament And will continue to improve on the international stage in the years to come
Excellent Coach! Great attitude and sportsmanship shown. "Control what we can control." Tremendous leadership by Canada's Coach in the face of unfair adversity.
Completely agree with Jesse Marsch, well stated. Watching the Euro at the same time is a huge eye opener on the difference of quality referees, var reviews, field quality and overall professionalism.
Night and day. It's exhausting watching Copa compared to the Euros.
Outstanding coach. A man of values and morals. So rare in international sport today.

Fantastic Coach, you are the best Jesse! Canada loves you!!! Go Canada from St. Paul Alberta 🇨🇦
As an Argentinian, I was extremely happy and honored to have my team facing Canada. It’s blissful to see a team of warriors, who were not taken as seriously as they should, reaching the fight for 3rd place. Canada was by far the strongest force of Concacaf, was way better than many South American teams, and I foresee Canada making some serious damage on 2026. It would not be an easy team. Very proud of Canadian squad!! Saludos!
u are very gracious
I praise the way he handled himself. Canadians still consider family as a province and nationally. Having been married to an incredible Ontario native, her and her family showed me a sense of unmatched family tradition that communities had, eclectic communities treating one another with respect and morality. Great country!
Why aren't you married to her anymore
Fantastic that Marsch is calling out some of the BS. Also kudos to giving Bombito some media face time - I like very much what I see with Moise - so much so that I find myself feeling proud. He's going to be a top shelf CB in a few years. Can't wait to see that. Cornelius has also impressed.
I'm Uruguayan and I don't care at all about 3rd place, I wish Canada would win it
I'm Canadian but it's going to be tough to choose who to root for for the bronze game. Uruguay are a class act and I have nothing but respect for the them and their country. Suarez is magnifico.
Uruguay are my favorite South American team by far.

Go Canada. One of the best presser I have ever seen. When you are a player, all you want is to be able to truly believe in your coaching staff and teammates. Looks like they have that. They’ll be a force going forward. Kudos and thank you for the great entertainment.
This is partly why I am a proud Canadian.
We don't flop around when fouled like most South American teams.

Jesse Marsch is an American, and probably a very proud one. He clearly transmits the importance of pride in one's country to his Canadian players, which is what a true national team leader does. As a Canadian, I am proud and happy to have a man such as this leading our national team.
Please, please, keep Jesse Marsch and give him every resource possible to help our team get to the next level, the signs are so encouraging.
Much respect Jesse! 🇺🇸
Just look at how Alastair Johnston stayed up after that head butt, like a real man. There was no card because the officials have become to flopping on the ground, writhing in “pain”. Ah-yee!!! Too much, way too much, flopping to draw fouls.
In which match did that happen?

So friggin true!
Flopping is so damned embarrassing.
Yeah, a real man, absolutely. A dumb man as well, if he had dropped, VAR would've checked and that's a red card for Peru. Playing smarter, not harder.
Proud of the cool headed way Mr. Marsch replied to that first question. He spoke up for Concacaf, not just Canada, with dignity. That it needed to be said is just part of a continuing battle.
Thank you Jesse Marsch for standing up for football as a SPORT ! The administrators, officials, influencers, coaches, players, fans see football as a culture! Culture comparable to the bold and the beautiful thing with drama and emotions. Football is first and foremost sport !!
