As a Taiwanese Australian, this and doner kebab are what I missed the most working in Taipei for the last 3 years. Ok, I lied, I missed good Thai, Vietnamese, Mediterranean, middle east and Indians cuisines. Heck, I can’t even get a decent pie or fish and chips here to cure my homesickness. A lot of “foreign foods” in Taiwan are not authentic IMO. When I told local people I prefer Australian restaurants and cafes, and produces available in Coles or Woolies, they all think I am crazy lol.
