If the old graphics reminded me of Maserati, then the new light bar feels generic and doesn't look sporty. Kia is making a huge mistake in cancelling the stinger. These are fast cars and handle well at high speed. Many states in Australia have stingers as Interceptor vehicles. Almost as fast as the Ford Falcon which was a stable for Law Enforcement.
The Stinger was not a bad car, it was capable overall, but it was born flawed because of 1 specific detail... being a Kia. Hyundai had the Hyundai Genesis and to improve the image of the brand, they released a new brand called Genesis and offered cars with better quality and more premium feeling. The Stinger was not a bad car, it was capable overall, but it was born flawed because of 1 specific detail... being a Kia.
Hyundai had the Hyundai Genesis and to improve the image of the brand, they released a new brand called Genesis and offered cars with better quality and more premium feeling. With the Stinger, it was just a Kia. For non car people that want a saloon or a perfomance saloon that performs lika a german saloon, they bought the german saloon! Not the Kia.
Another example is Citroen, Citroen has a reputation as the second brand of Peugeot and nowadays Peugeot has more reputation and more presence, what they did in Citroen? They released DS Automobiles which has a better line up with a more premium feeling.
It will be classic in 20 years
Dealers over pricing is what really killed this car.
Mazda builds a fantastic product.
Their upcoming new 6 should be a great sedan that deserves consideration.
The rear of 2023 stinger definitely looked better. But the downside, no sequential turn indicator still for the US market. Shame shame
both kia and hyundai have completely discontinued my favorite cars of theirs. the veloster n and stinger were cool
A car with a lot of hype
I feel like the effort they put in this. Nissan put the same effort into the maxima
Given it a special badge like Chevy does to Corvette would have saved the Stinger’s sales.
Stinger change the game for KIA with dream team putting the car together. Stinger be collectors cars in the future!
They could’ve did more before ending the car. Interior refresh and 400 HP from factory would’ve done wonders for sales
So is it officially dead or can we still purchase a 2023?
The 2018 one in the picture doesnt have a quad tip and the amber light because it is a diesel car for European market
Yeah, pre-facelift taillights look better.
The stinger was probably one of my favorite cars ever built by Kia alongside with the k5 and forte gt, but too bad this thing was discountinued because karen crossovers are selling more and badge snobbery I guess?
Also the enthusiasts who go "cool, I'll buy one used in a couple years"
It’s definitely more so the brand snobs. They would rather pay $15k more for a M440i or just buy a regular 3/4 series and be slower
Can you do a render what the stinger could look in future if it was continued
What do you mean all models came standard with quad exhaust.
Not in europe for the diesel stinger
@@banhandleusernames I'm not in Europe though...
@@ch6inre6ction11 Did you just correct your self ? Did you mean all models in the united states come with quad exhausts ? The video even shows a car with dual exhausts
@@UnderWarranty At the end of the day in the North America the Stinger in all trims has ALWAYS been sold with only quad exhaust. So I guess what I'm trying to say is his complaint does not apply here...
@@ch6inre6ction11 No they don't, specs seem to vary around the world, i think the lowest spec in the UK with a 2.0 litre engine only has dual exhaust but never seen one. The V6 only comes in a GTS spec, comes fully loaded and has everything, which is good rather then having GT1 and Gt2 etc like others have. Probaly more expensive in the UK i guess and it failed here due to everyone only wanting German cars
Kia needs like 50 more years before I would ever consider buying one 😂
My favourite Kia ever R.I.P
Like a modern Espada
Stingers have always been junk. I always scream out my window when I see one “Poser!”
I own a stinger in sweden. I love the car it's amazing. I wish that they made it as a shooting brake. Could you redesign into one please 🙂
The rear of the 2018 looks like the rear of the dodge charger
I allways thought they were pretty sharp looking cars
I think the stinger is gonna come back as an EV. The world wasn't ready for a Kia Luxury sport sedan when it came out but Hyundai and Kia are slowly becoming that and once perceptions change we're gonna see the good old stinger again.
