At the risk of sounding like an absolute idiot im still betting on the Samsung QN95C as an underdog in this race. I would dearly love your thoughts on this tv compared to the giants of 2023 so far Brian...
0:31 There seems (SEEMS) to be more posterization in the scene with the Eiffel Tower on the G3…Sure this is just compression, camera limitations, etc…but it immediately stuck out to me. Freaking thing is a beast! Both are, and really looking forward to getting a MLA OLED to replace my C2, giving me that high APL with less aggressive ABL. Granted, I don’t have many issues at all to complain about C2 wise…but I do know high APL scenes are limited
And the G4 will be better than the G3 and on and on and on. Every year there was a new TV release reviewers say it’s better than the year before. This must be said because otherwise people wouldn’t jump to change there perfectly good top of the line TV that was rated number one in 2022 to get a 2023.
No-one said to upgrade my friend. I actually say you shouldn't. The simple fact is they have improved. Thank you for your honest comment and for watching the video and channel
But it is better. If its worth the hassle of upgrading IF you own a G2 or worth the extra money if you are about to buy a new TV is up to you. But the jump in Peak brightness AND overall brightness is visible, there is no denial for that.
@@MrVaeron again that may apply to gamers, but I am a TV watcher and a movie watcher when I go to the movies the screen is actually duller than my TV. This is not how it was intended to be. I bought the 77” G2 last year. Outstanding picture that gets lots of compliments from guests. The difference is between the G2 and G3 is noticeable but doesn’t seem to be earth shattering. Is it worth the money to upgrade to the 77” G3? What do you think?
The G2 is awesome, I'd stick with it untill PHOLED comes out in 2 years. The G3 has a lot of problems that the G2 doesn't. Long image retention, game mode options and DV are both not working correctly, and blacks are slightly more raised in well lit rooms. Classy Tech has videos about all of this. The hype is real, but so are the issues that few are talking about. Enjoy that G2, it's currently the better TV IMHO anyways, excluding brightness. Even the audio is better on the G2.
Brian what is different between the 83” G2 and G3? It doesn’t have MLA tech so I cant see whas different? Makes the G2 a no-brainer (between those two) - right ?
Yep definitely a leap in performance with LG OLED MLA, this is the upgrade I was waiting for, now we just need larger sizes than 77, and I hope next year LG can up the hertz past 120, 144 or 165 would be awesome, also Brian just curious how there mitigating burn in with the higher brightness with MLA?
@@interistapazzo1.9.0.8 heatsink resolve not all ! but i agree after 2017 less risk, with evo less, with ex evo less, with heatsink less, and now with mla less risk
after 2017 less risk, panels are stronger yar after years. and with evo less, with ex evo less, with heatsink less, and now with mla less risk... because pixels dont force more for the same brightness, its a passive upgrade of brightness. panel don t need more power. its the inverse, big power consumption upgrade this year. and you have a 5 yars warrantly
@@mickey-neo For me the concern is brightness is typically 650-900 depending on oled panel but it is jumping all the way up to nearly 2000, and being that I do a lot of gaming on PC with 4k HDR, it's obviously a long term concern, and even up to this day LG don't allow you to manually activate a screen saver in the UI to mitigate burn in so I have to do it on my PC to preserve the panel, just because it is Evo or ex Evo or has a heatsink does not guarantee long term exposure to burn in especially when the user plays a lot of games with static hud elements, so obviously for me it is a concern, I currently own a CX77 and knock on wood it is still going strong, but it is a older model and less brighter, hopefully Brian can get some more info on that, I'm wondering what kind of features or counter measures do the new MLA panels have to mitigate burn in beyond a heatsink.

5:02 is there really that much difference between dark scenes in real life? It seems like there are almost no starts on G2 while on the G3 sky is filled with them.
Missed the live stream as I was fighting with unemployment on the phone. The G3 is obviously better brightness wise, and the white scenes are much whiter and clean. Glad you're going to put it against the Z9K as I'm a little biased😎 The star fields looked much better on the G3 and it reminds me of the difference I saw from my TCL 65 825 mini led set to the Z9K. The Z9K does not crush blacks in star fields, the TCL does in high local dimming, but it's fine in medium or low. I run both in high as I think overall they both look best in high. Crank all the settings up on both so we can see them in their beast modes. 8k would be stunning using this tech in the LG oled sets, might give my Beast a good fight.
So I had purchased a Samsung 4k qled 85’ but I’m not moved in to my house yet. So I went picked up I visited the provider for some shipping details and the sales man saw me checking the “Samsung frame “ and talked me into the LG one wall G3 .I sacrificed some inches for the flush to walk design of the Lg G3 and Oled technology . I added something extra and I ordered the 77’ G3 Now I watched your comparison It really looks that there is more saturation at G2 .The colors look richer and the blacks great ,but there is the reflection issue At G3 whites are incredible but The colors look more washed off and the blacks like in a Qled wich really neutralizes the Oled purpose. To conclude it looks like the BRIGHTNESS IS REALLY THE DIFFERENCE..Each level comes with its pros and cons . Brighter display -less reflection strong whites ,but washed off colors . Darker display -richer deeper colors and strong blacks ,but more reflection and “dirtier” whites Personally I watch TV at night only for movies so reflection is not really a problem for me But I could definitely use some extra inches for a better price and the “gallery edition “flush to wall features . I have 2 doubts though .One is for the sound system which is by Samsung will it perform as it would with a Samsung tv ? The second is G2 and G3 better than their Samsung frame equivalents?..if you or anyone here has a comment to help I would gladly accept it thanks ..
Im coming from the LG GX 77....i dont like all this brightness stuff which is why i left samsung in the 1st place 😂. I like the deep color so its G2 all the way only $4700 now

I just keep playing with the settings. I wish lg would let you delete unused or unwanted apps. Like my older Samsung does.😢 Brian great video as always.
At times, during some of these shows, it's the bandwidth, compression the show itself. If something seems to struggle, try a different preset where some of the processing is disabled.
The brightness on the G3 ist awesome, but he has 1 big Problem this year, motion handling (true motion) in Movies Was much better on the G2 and in the end there is a big Price Difference.
Hi Brian, thanks again for informative your videos. Hey I know LGg3 was just launched, but according to previous years, when might we see the first discounts roll out??
Unfortunately they had a bit of a delayed drop. I was showing them a month before they were widely available. So Unfortunately it's as if they released yesterday. I'd say at least two months. Or just before Sony drops the A95L. Thank you for watching

Hey, 10:29 why there is no big difference in Dolby Vision 10K nits material between the two and you say that there is bigger difference in HDR10 with the same material? G3 is 500 nits more capable so there should have been a difference between DV too! You can say that if you run on G3 that Spears and Munsil demo in HDR 10 at 2000 nits it will look brighter than the 10000 nits DV variant of the demo? How was the dynamic tone mapping set on the TVs?
Great comparison video, Brain. Really enjoyed it. 2023...another great year to be an AV Nerd (TM). The last 2 years have been really good...some of the best we've had in a long time, in fact. I look back to the little NTSC CRT sets we had growing up, with broadcast OTA TV and VHS...we've come a loooooong way! I kind of feel bad for anyone that grew up with that experience, as you really can't appreciate the current display landscape, lol. Enjoy your vacation!

Good review. I think the G3 jump is the biggest in years between models. Having seen it in person, it's probably as bright as I'd want a TV being just 8 feet away. The G2 is approx 900 nits versus 1400/1500 on tbe G3. I'll get it in Sep / Oct 24 when the price represents fantastic value.
My first tv i ever bought was LG GX. I hope LG release LG G3 to Australia soon. I'm ready to upgrade to LG G3. I've been waiting for 1000+ nits tv from LG for years! I am hype asf
All the videos i have watched on G3, it feels like objects are looking 3Dish, maybe bcz of the high brightness, i really have to check it in person, if this is the case in reality I would go with g3.
Are both the G2 and the G3 at their full brightness in this video? I won't say black crushing but there's definitely some more shadow detail on the G3 that shows and you could turn it down and brightness if you wanted to look like the G2. But the price difference is a big deal still
Wow the G3 is significantly brighter finally a big jump , can't to get my Panasonic MLA MZ2000, Panasonic the creator of the heatsink tends to push there tvs much harder than LG .
I am qurios, if you turn the brightness of the G3 to the G2 brightness performance and then again the difference between these 2. Difference will be very minimal
How about comparing an A80J. Why? I would like to see how big the differences are to the 2021 devices. In other words, what has changed by then. And I would like to see whether LG has caught up with the image processor. Thanks in advance.
Does the g3 have lifted blacks in bright room? As seen from 3:04 onwards. Also heard the interframe motion calculation is handled better on the g2? Thanks for your time.
Hi Brian or anyone else in the know - I own a 65" LG C7 (2017 model) that sadly has some annoying burn-in on the screen after about 4 years of use. I'd like to buy a new LG OLED before 2024. Right now the LG G2 models are around $2,000 which is within my budget. The G3 is not within my budget. But I was wondering, would I be better off buying an LG G2 or waiting a few more months closer to Black Friday and purchase an LG C3 once their price drops to about $2000. Would G2 be better because it's a more premium series or the C3 be better because it's a year newer?
If you can wait a few months for the price drop, G3 is more future proof so to speak, you have MLA, DTS , anti-reflection coating , better brightness than both C3 and G2. If you want one now, I would definetly go for the G2 , it has heat sink and 5 year warranty
G2 to me is excellent tv. For the lesser price I would pick the G2. Maybe in person G 3 would look better in person.Snow was a brighter white. Thanks Brian for comparing.

4:55 when comparing the logo of LG written on the screen.. is it me or does this look like the g3 has a blooming issue. I've noticed it with highlights throughout the video. I can't tell if this is a camera effect or something. I definitely see that the LG G3 has bright whites and and the color gamut is wider giving greater detail, but the images almost look too bright in comparison and I wonder would I be turning down brightness.. If I did turn down brightness would I end up with a G2 equivalent image or would it still pop like this. Somebody answer 😅, I wanna buy a TV this weekend
To be accurate..this is what LG claims to compare the advertised brightness percentage to... *Brightness Booster Max only available on G3 models. Based on LG internal testing: 55/65/77" LG OLED evo G3 models are 70% brighter than non-OLED evo B3 models. The 83" LG OLED evo G3 model is 30% brighter than non-OLED B3 models. Take note there is no mention or comparison to any 2022 or earlier C or G series to base any percentage of increased brightness to.

That's just the camera Lars and the fact that we are pushing 10k nits on some of the content. But you may still prefer the G2. Thank you for watching
G3 is the clear winner. The biggest difference is the whites the snow looks white white on the G3 and bluish on the G2 😮
They solved the Problem in the Snow scene with an Update on the g2
The G2 prices are falling too slowly and not far enough yet .
Hey Brian would you go for a 83 g2 or a g3 77? Is the brighter screen the better way to go? Please help lol
is the color enhancer only in the g3 or also the g2 has it? also does the color dilute for the g3 at higher brightness?
Should i go for G2 65 1999€ on sale rn or wait for G3 sale G3 65 without sale is 3299€ wonder how much it will drop? Will be using 90% for gaming. Still using tv from 2017 and want to upgrade this year.
Brightness and white looks great on the g3,red is better on g2,g3's red look like orange in my opinion
I'm going with the G3 over the Samsung S95C because of the Samsung software updates it's a shame considering how great their Tv's are if they stopped messing with them in their updates Dave UK
Duuuh, use an Apple TV 4K with content matching... QD-OLED + Apple TV 4K = Top notch image quality, processing and performance.
G3 def Pops more. Not earth shattering but it 's there and clearly better
Whish someone buy me a 77 inch lg g3. Generosity will make your health and life happier. And I will def. Pau it foward.😊
Considering that’s there’s almost a £1000 hike in price to the G3 you’d fully expect a better TV.
you should compare launch prices... Not the discounted G2 price vs the brand new G3 price
last year thank god my 65" Sony A90J broke down and it was still under warranty and upgraded it to a 77'' Lg G2, all I can say I love my G2 for me its the best tv I have ever had but if something happen to my G2 for sure I willl go for a G3 for me they are better tan Sony and Samsung
better than samsung of course, but why better than sony? motion? brightness?
Picked up a 65" LG G2
27 days ago from BB for $1,799.00 and want to see "if" worth the upgrade at $3,200.00 for the G3 as I am still in my return window to do so.....but because I could does it mean I should 🤷🏽♂️🤔🤔🤔

it's clear that it's not worth it, you have to wait for the end of the year and buy the same lg g3 for 1800eu.🙋🇺🇦🇨🇰🇱🇷🇬🇧🇱🇹🇺🇦🙋
thats awesome. I saw it at 1800 but as soon as I saved enough it was $2000, so had to wait a bit longer to get the $2000....that was fast sale!! good deal though.

Just adjust more brightness on G2 😂 and you will be G3

These videos are just sooo damn good! Great content again Brian. Just seen Fomos awesome video too, and a massive surprise twist at the end when he gave his verdict.
At the risk of sounding like an absolute idiot im still betting on the Samsung QN95C as an underdog in this race. I would dearly love your thoughts on this tv compared to the giants of 2023 so far Brian...
Very noticeable difference/improvement. Well done LG👏
I just wish it came with a Center stand 😒
Sun filled Room = G3; if not, save money & get the G2
Is it just me but the blacks seem much better on the G2? I actually prefer the G2 in the side by sides and I really wasn’t expecting to!
Well although its a great jump in brightness over all ..its not worth the upgrade imo .
I guess when you’re playing games that are brighter than the sun it makes a difference but not for a regular average TV watching.
I bought the 77” G2 last year. Outstanding picture that gets lots of compliments from guests. The difference is between the G2 and G3 is noticeable but doesn’t seem to be earth shattering. Is it worth the money to upgrade to the 77” G3? What do you think?
From a G2 nah. Enjoy the G2 for a few years and then upgrade to the G5 or G6 a few years from now.
Upgrading yearly is just burning money.
@@RADERFPV lg will fixed this with update mate. i go for the lg 77 inch g3. great tv. great reviews also from technical experts
@@dvgemerden28G3 is looking great 👍
Brian what is different between the 83” G2 and G3? It doesn’t have MLA tech so I cant see whas different? Makes the G2 a no-brainer (between those two) - right ?
Yep definitely a leap in performance with LG OLED MLA, this is the upgrade I was waiting for, now we just need larger sizes than 77, and I hope next year LG can up the hertz past 120, 144 or 165 would be awesome, also Brian just curious how there mitigating burn in with the higher brightness with MLA?
No burn in risk because of heatsink
@@jeebssingh1767 i dont say these things are a warantly, but its a lot of little upgrade...
mla have no more thing, just mla.
mla is a passive booster, no need more power its what i want say.

no probleme and there is upgrade after thse models with ex, heatssink and mla.
on my g1 i have a screen saver, chek again are you sure you have not??
The G3 colors look very diluted, washed out in comparison to the G2. The G2 seems bright enough whilst maintaining much better colors and details.
Every one is talking about brightness, brightness. But look at the WHITES...
Is it just the camera or the blacks look slightly raised on the G3 at 3:11?
Yeah i noticed the same.. very bad for the g3…
@@interistapazzo1.9.0.8 To be fair it does look like there is a lot of light in the room
@@xFrxsty yea but for the g2 is the same with a lot of light too
5:02 is there really that much difference between dark scenes in real life? It seems like there are almost no starts on G2 while on the G3 sky is filled with them.
Why white color in g2 is like light green? 😢
At 3:10 we can See that the g3 don't have true black..🤔
Is it because of camera or does G2 have much better color saturation than G3?
G3 is brighter look at the 🚁 helicopter at 7:21 G2 is dim and lacks coloures
I’m liking how the g3 is showing more details in darker areas
Missed the live stream as I was fighting with unemployment on the phone. The G3 is obviously better brightness wise, and the white scenes are much whiter and clean.
Glad you're going to put it against the Z9K as I'm a little biased😎
The star fields looked much better on the G3 and it reminds me of the difference I saw from my TCL 65 825 mini led set to the Z9K.
Wow. I can see the reflection of you guys in the G2 in the blacks, but not at all in the G3. Insane 👀
I added something extra and I ordered the 77’ G3
Now I watched your comparison It really looks that there is more saturation at G2 .The colors look richer and the blacks great ,but there is the reflection issue
At G3 whites are incredible but
The colors look more washed off and the blacks like in a Qled wich really neutralizes the Oled purpose.
To conclude it looks like the BRIGHTNESS IS REALLY THE DIFFERENCE..Each level comes with its pros and cons .
Brighter display -less reflection strong whites ,but washed off colors .
Darker display -richer deeper colors and strong blacks ,but more reflection and “dirtier” whites
Personally I watch TV at night only for movies so reflection is not really a problem for me
But I could definitely use some extra inches for a better price and the “gallery edition “flush to wall features .
I like the deep color so its G2 all the way only $4700 now
I'm on my 3rd day of playing with my new g3 77" settings. In most cases it looks kinda 3d in depth. I was having a hard time on one of my prime showes with it pixel flickering in dark Scenes.
Is the S95C have the same pop 3 dimension like the G3??? Thx

The blacks are more deep in the G2. That alone makes it better than MLA on G3
Personally I think the g3 is too bright the g2 seems to have a slightly darker picture however the g2 has more detail resolution and detail the colours appear richer and has a fuller deeper image
How does the c2 compare to the G3?

Just put the G2 on vivid and you get the G3 ;)
🤣🤣🤣. That's awesome

I currently have the Sony X85J and Sony X85K because they are flicker free. I need flicker free because of eye strain/headaches. I would love to upgrade to the Samsung S95B/C or Sony A95K or LG G3 or Samsung QN95C. Are any of these new 2022/2023 models flicker free?
But the price difference is a big deal still
Colors are not deep on the g3..thats my only complaint …there is an obvious downside of getting that display brighter
Lg really outdone themselves with this year's g3 mlA ex technology oled tv, by upgrading the processor its now the alpha 9,generation 1000!!?😮😂
Wow the G3 is significantly brighter finally a big jump , can't to get my Panasonic MLA MZ2000, Panasonic the creator of the heatsink tends to push there tvs much harder than LG .
Can you suggest between G2 and C3, which one would be better, if both are coming around same price?
I am qurios, if you turn the brightness of the G3 to the G2 brightness performance and then again the difference between these 2. Difference will be very minimal
Just look at the difference in stars being seen. There’s also reflection on the G2. I don’t see any on the G3
I Hot the Feeling thats the g3 s Black is not really Black 😢
How about comparing an A80J. Why? I would like to see how big the differences are to the 2021 devices. In other words, what has changed by then. And I would like to see whether LG has caught up with the image processor. Thanks in advance.
Does the g3 have lifted blacks in bright room? As seen from 3:04 onwards. Also heard the interframe motion calculation is handled better on the g2? Thanks for your time.
@brianstechtherapy in your personal opinion at 77" would you pick a G2 or a G3?
I'm very surprised how close these are. But the G3 did do much better with the snow/white visuals.
The g3 ia more brighter - smotims more detalis - but the g2 the color more warm.
Best year to year improvement in LGs oled history.
I think this is the upgrade year. Next year we are back to the usual 10-20% improvement
You get MLA because of QD-OLED and QD-OLED still have better colors.
G2 to me is excellent tv. For the lesser price I would pick the G2. Maybe in person G 3 would look better in person.Snow was a brighter white. Thanks Brian for comparing.
G3 is +2500€ of G2 where I life! 🤢🤮😖😮
From what i see,the black isn't black anymore on g3 its more of a grey
I'll get the g3 once the price really drops down to cast all doubts away if the g3 is actually worth the current retail price to me.
It looks the same just a little brighter in some scene's, i just bought the A95K what an amazing leap that TV is!
Es opinión personal pero hay momentos donde lg g2 se ve mejor que la g3, aunque la g3 tenga mas brillo pero como dije ws opinión personal pero he visto escenas mas contrastadas 3n la g2
I can't tell the difference so you have to tell me

You must see them in person ; G3 is brighter and more colourful than the G2. On this video the G3 is brigter and both are on filmaker mode. Just put the G3 on Cina home with Expert Enhance and Dinamic Tone Maping on than G3 will be more brigter
Hey Brian, you've been doing amazing work on the new TV's. I think I've watched every video you've put out so far. Do you know when you'll be making videos on the S90C and C3?

LG OLED.
