Hey Brian, Just for clarification purposes, the German reviewers who got their hands on the G3 at the end of last week, all share your opinion, they don’t mention that there is nothing spectacular about the G3, like I have read here! The G3 is ,after the C3 ,the first new model we got here in Germany (we don’t have the S95C yet) and it immediately took first place on the review pages and people are blown away by it. They also highlight the low power consumption. The pink tint seems to be less of an issue too but is still visible (screen uniformity is for me personally an important point) Keep up the good work! Greetings from Germany
Fun fact…my C2 came with no plastic film on the screen. So no satisfying peel for me. 😞 Idk why it didn’t but I can speculate…. Early unit, on Best Buy’s first allocation, before they were even in showrooms. I ordered before they released, and waited for that first allocation of stock. Btw…It was brand new, unopened, zero hours, etc, etc. It was NOT an open box. It even had one peel sticker, which was stuck to the actual panel. Usually, they have two peel stickers on the film, to aid peeling it. And no…I’m not dumb, and just can’t see the plastic film…IT HAS NONE on it. Trust me…I pay attention to DETAIL…kinda my job lol. I can only surmise that the machine, or person, that puts the film on, was out of film, or they pulled this panel to bin it, or something like that…I truly have no idea. I’ve never come across someone else who didn’t have the plastic film protector on their set, for shipping. Tbh, I let it go….bc I’ve never seen a WRGB with this clean of uniformity. It amazed me. Even OTTB. No jail bars/vertical banding on low stimulus content. No VBE. None of that ugly stuff my CX pained me with. I’m sure there are some out there with just as good, if not better uniformity…but I’ve never laid my eyes on one this clean. Pink tint is only noticeable off axis, at extreme angles. On axis, it’s near perfect, and no distracting pink. That’s what leads me to think it was binned possibly, and put back out for sale??? I’ll probably never know… LG…if you’re listening. Or Robert, can you ask LG?!? 😅 Please explain why my C2 came with no protective film..?? Also, I’d like a replacement G3 for all the heartache, from not being able to get a satisfying peel, on a brand new TV. I’m freaking scarred from it. EMOTIONAL DAMAGE for life 😭

We can't use a matte screen as it would reduce the image sharpness. The G3 glare is less than previous LG OLED model years and the camera picks up more than what we see in person. Also the glare is only seen in black areas of the screen and the C3 TV is facing a very large bright front windows and a large skylight is directly above the TV. The TV's location is the torture test for glare and reflections.

Very nice introduction from Robert by the way...I wish he was in our local store, so knowledgeable and friendly, I think I would have bought the G3 off him twice! Really looking forward to the qd oled comparisons now Brian. But even though the QN95C is a horse running at the back of the pack I would still love to see it compared to the G3. Great work Brian.
Hi Steve, thanks for the kind post! We're authorized LG e-commerce authorized for Nationwide sales. So if you are in the US please contact me so we can extend our best prices.
I don’t get why people constantly whine about the G3 not having a stand and calling LG “Greedy” and “cheap”. The tv is built and designed for Wall Mounting, it comes with a wall mount. LG isn’t hiding this fact. Just buy a Universal table mount for $50 and stop complaining. No one complains about other TVs lnot coming with Wall Mounts.
I agree. TVs come with a stand or a mount, and this one is a mount. I don't know why people are so cynical about this. That said, they really should give consumers the option of choosing which they want. Far from being greedy, IMO LG is losing sales over this (or driving people toward the much cheaper C3), and it's a silly business decision.
If they didn’t want those complaints they should have added the Mla tech to the c3 Now they expect you to buy the even more expensive g series for the best tv instead of the usual c series without even having a stand
Even though I bought the C2 48" OLED after New Years, the G3 is seriously a tempting proposition, but I'll wait for Black Friday before I decide or if I even have the budget to buy a G3. We don't get new TVs here in Norway until a few months after the US launch
Solid tv's i have the C1 77" inch it's almost 2 years old i got 6000hrs on it and it's been heavy used for everything! HDR gaming movies with Dolby vision from the 6000hrs i think 3500hrs is used for HDR gaming and SDR gaming and there is still no burn in signs or any other panel isseus! 👏👊
Lovely looking TV....I wannit!!! Will Robert ship me one to Mcr Uk ya think if I ask him nicely? lol. Looking forwards to seeing what else this set is capable of. Ty for the vid as always Brian.
Wow! I am legit blown away. This looks better than anything I've seen on the A95k or the S95b for sure. So its definitely better than last years TVs. Cant wait for a comparison between all of this years tvs!!!
could be, but it's not being compared in this video yet. So it's hard to tell. I like all the settings options. If I would get an OLED it would be G3. But ASBL still alive on PC desktop etc. But they did fix the dimming of watching movies in new firmware. So that's pretty cool.
Hi Brian, another great video as usual, that Lg looks like a fantastic tv and definitely worth a look at, will check out when they come to the U.K., but I will be waiting till they bring a TV out bigger than the 77”

When does it go on sale in the US? I have a 65 C9 in my bedroom and I love it. Looking to upgrade my old LG in the basement this summer. I skipped the C1 and G2. I think this one may be a winner
I heard they put out a new firmware update just for the G series and possibly the C3 series to fix the auto dimming.Hopefully they will put it out for the C2 and other models as well to fix that auto dimming
Great review i hope YT gets it together with alerts so i am alerted when you do the gaming/PC video About the no access to the service, menu to disable absl/abl , and you saw no dimming, was that during gaming with a static image/HUD? Those are said to cause the dimming and will be terrible for gaming if true I went to your page to find that stand(I want one like that,a pedestal that raises) but all i saw were wall mounts Do you have those yet? Great review Cant wait for the gaming one
THAT MENU IS SICKKKKKKK!! HOLY F. I LOVE THAT. I can’t believe a tv menu could excite me 😂. I guess I’m officially a nerd. That menu tells me that they have had much more attention to the small details. It also reallly highlights that, “YEA, THEYVE BEDN DOIN THIS AWHILE”.
On LG’s website it says : *Brightness Booster Max only available on G3 models. Based on LG internal testing: 55/65/77" LG OLED evo G3 models are 70% brighter than non-OLED evo B3 models. The 83" LG OLED evo G3 model is 30% brighter than non-OLED B3 models. I’d be interested in seeing the brightness difference between the 83” G3 and the others.
Looks absolutely amazing and video is very well done, congratulations this was a very fine presentation. My question is actually for the C-series. What sacrifices if any were made to the 48" and 42" models compared to the 55" and up like was done on the C2 line.
We used Sanus' VSTV1 table top TV pedestal stand. Our exclusive 5% store credit will pay for the stand so it's free for our customers who purchase LG's new 65" G3 TV.
Hey Brian and Robert! I have the Sony a90j and love it, but I wish it was brighter with more vivid colors. Definitely interested in the G3…would it be brighter than the a90j? Thank you!
Yes LG's new 2023 G3 with the new Micro Lens Array that is integrated on all 77", 65" and 55" G3 Gallery Series TVs, which along with LG's heat sync makes the G3's peak luminance capability significantly brighter than all 2022 OLED TVs. The 83" G3 has the heat sync, but does not have the MLA.
@@charliewright1009 For now I'm just giving you my best guess, which is that QD OLED may have slightly enhanced color volume, but if that's true it will be a minimal difference. LG's new Micro Lens Array increases the RGB and White luminance simultaneously so the color saturation and color volume of the G3 is excellent and a very big upgrade for the 2023 model year.
if you want the A90J on steroids, look no further than the A95L. This beast is gonna reach 1500 Nits like the G3, but is going to look better because of XR Processor, Reality Creation and QD Oled technology.
P.s: ‘I’m looking forward the gaming video! I play on a PC gaming with Nvidia 4090 and I’m a cinema fan!!! So i need a tv that provides both high/top quality features in gaming and movies!! 🤗🙏
My only complaint is not mentioning whether it is known or unknown that LG has been working with Disney StudioLab and Marvel since 2020 in which LG provides the studios with the high end Oled TVs so these TV's can be used as reference monitors to replace Sony reference monitors, Saving the studio thousands of dollars. So the side by side comparison G3 with a Sony reference monitor isn't going to tell you anything new, like there isn't going to be any significant difference with color accuracy with how the G3 is going to measure up against it. This is going to be a moot comparison because Disney StudioLab will be getting the LG G3s. It is only a 3 year contract so whether or not the contract gets extended hasn't been announced yet. It was only a 3 year deal that started in 2020.
We sell a lot of the studios and post production houses their displays. Since LG OLED TV first came out 10 yrs ago we've supplied LG OLED TVs for their "Client Reference Monitors". Not suggesting you are incorrect, but I have not seen any studios or post production houses use an LG OLED TV for the Mastering and Color Grading. Sony's BVM-HX310 is the reference grading/Mastering display.
@@HDTVShootout Caleb at D.T just recently went Hollywood and did an LG video from there. Disney and Marvel want to know how reproduction is going to look on OLED TV. LG OLED high end displays are so good for Hollywood production they can be a production monitor in of itself, just saying.
@@scottivlow9962 We agree. Not only Disney and Marvel, all studios and Post Production facilities use LG OLED TVs for their client reference display and to see how their content will look on consumer grade OLED TVs.

@@valueelectronics9390 Thankyou very much.
Great video!! I will be purchasing either the 77'' or 83'' I'm waiting to see the difference in brightness....hoping the 83'' can hang in there!
Another great video, super informative for prospective buyers! Quick question, what are those cool speakers next to your tv?
I think it's reasonable to expect a stand with your tv.
If they didn’t want those complaints they should have added the Mla tech to the c3
Now they expect you to buy the even more expensive g series for the best tv instead of the usual c series without even having a stand
Thank you for another great video!
Impressive Brian, Im getting excited.
Even though I bought the C2 48" OLED after New Years, the G3 is seriously a tempting proposition, but I'll wait for Black Friday before I decide or if I even have the budget to buy a G3. We don't get new TVs here in Norway until a few months after the US launch
I wonder if the C4 next year will have it? I would love to get the G3 but i don't have enough money right now.
Thanks Brian you sealed the deal for me. Called Value, talked to Robert...G3 on the way.
Awesome Tom! Hope you told him I sent you 😁
That Menu though… so beautiful. It looks simple even though it’s not. Easy on the eyes and the brain.
Which Sanus stand is this? It looks like the version for up to a 60” version. Curious as to which version is recommended for this TV. Ty. 11:27
If it can compete with the S95 in color then it is going to be the TV of the year
Agree 100%.
Samsung QD OLED 💪💪💪
it can't reproduce QD Oled Color Gamut, LG fanboys are naive. The A95L wins this year easy.
I bought a G3 65 Inch for my bedroom PC from this guy, just waiting for them to start shipping.
Dude. It can't look better than whatever screen you are watching it on. Stop and try to process this.
@@hosshandle 😂 that one made me laugh…so freaking true
Great job Brian I am looking forward to my Panasonic MLA MZ2000 .
i love samsung and Sony picture but this LG G3 picture looks better even than S95c and A95L , love to see them side by side
Are you from the future lmao lg owners so full of shit lol
Hi Brian, another great video as usual, that Lg looks like a fantastic tv and definitely worth a look at, will check out when they come to the U.K., but I will be waiting till they bring a TV out bigger than the 77”
great vid Brian! thanks!
TV looks amazing. Wish it came in 42" so I can use it as a monitor, will have to settle for the 42" C2 for now.
1 Many thanks for Brian & Zohn's& Jennifer Gala for your passionate work
2 I'm glad you will no more buying an 85" Samsung qn900c
3 LED 4K those days are over with G3 and post G3 oled generation
4 LED need to shift to 8K territory to still competitive
5 Blacks from wrgb oled are the most abyssal ones in tv industry
That picture wizard thing i have to say is cool as hell. I bought the 77 inch version
Hopefully next year they will have the MLA technology with the 83” and the 97”!
When does it go on sale in the US? I have a 65 C9 in my bedroom and I love it. Looking to upgrade my old LG in the basement this summer. I skipped the C1 and G2. I think this one may be a winner
Are the black levels raised under light like QD OLED?
At 11:41, do you really think the anti reflective coat is good enough for bright rooms ?
I heard they put out a new firmware update just for the G series and possibly the C3 series to fix the auto dimming.Hopefully they will put it out for the C2 and other models as well to fix that auto dimming
Great review
i hope YT gets it together with alerts so i am alerted when you do the gaming/PC video
About the no access to the service, menu to disable absl/abl , and you saw no dimming, was that during gaming with a static image/HUD?
Those are said to cause the dimming and will be terrible for gaming if true
I went to your page to find that stand(I want one like that,a pedestal that raises) but all i saw were wall mounts
Do you have those yet?
Great review
Cant wait for the gaming one
The way you talked about this tv, have me second guessing myself. I still want to see the sony qd oled 77
That thumbnail says it all❤❤😂😂🔥🔥🔥
I’m waiting till next year too. Want to give it a little time to mature
Great video man, this sold me on the G3
You'll see that when the 83" arrives my friend
Looks absolutely amazing and video is very well done, congratulations this was a very fine presentation. My question is actually for the C-series. What sacrifices if any were made to the 48" and 42" models compared to the 55" and up like was done on the C2 line.
Great, thanks for posting. Suggestion: if you can add _chapters_ to this video with links to them in teh Description... :)
Would like to know input latency
will decide between C3 or G3 77 coming from an LG OLED E7 from 2017. Not sure though as a normal user if the C3 wouldn’t be enough for me after all
Ready four ontboxing
Great review - may I ask what the VESA stand was?
We used Sanus' VSTV1 table top TV pedestal stand. Our exclusive 5% store credit will pay for the stand so it's free for our customers who purchase LG's new 65" G3 TV.
@@valueelectronics9390 Great - Many Thanks. I'm UK based unfortunately.
@@HDTVShootout Thank you for your response. I am seriously thinking about buying the G3.
@TV Shootout hi Robert would you say the g3s colour volume is on par with the s95c or just qd oleds in general?
@@charliewright1009 For now I'm just giving you my best guess, which is that QD OLED may have slightly enhanced color volume, but if that's true it will be a minimal difference. LG's new Micro Lens Array increases the RGB and White luminance simultaneously so the color saturation and color volume of the G3 is excellent and a very big upgrade for the 2023 model year.
if you want the A90J on steroids, look no further than the A95L. This beast is gonna reach 1500 Nits like the G3, but is going to look better because of XR Processor, Reality Creation and QD Oled technology.
Well done!!!!! Very good video, i like your attitude and passion!
Thank you so much Federico!! Thank you for watching and for the kind words.
P.s: ‘I’m looking forward the gaming video! I play on a PC gaming with Nvidia 4090 and I’m a cinema fan!!! So i need a tv that provides both high/top quality features in gaming and movies!! 🤗🙏
I'm working on it as we speak, my friend
Bro my room is so small my 65inch a95k feels like a light cannon sometimes. I can’t imagine how bright this g3 will be! I need to hurry up and move so I can justify another tv purchase lol
Watching this on LG G2 55inch.. and pictures do pop here also..😊
G2 is old news now! 👎
@@brenttitus2134 ha ha.. yes but bang for the buck.. new oleds latest one's out of my budget atleast..
@@brenttitus2134 don't be a prick. you can't switch TV every year, I bet you are still on a C9 hoping to afford better some day.
Does it still have pink tint? How is the panel uniformity?
No pink tint.
yea but how can these 'next gen' tvs compete now with S95B which is twice cheaper almost now?
sounds like you liked it as much as the Z2...if so, THAT is AMAZING...:-)))
Awesome video been waiting for this to come out. I think my decision has been made to go for the 77” was thinking Samsung but this made the decision easy!! Do u know if the new Home Screen menu will be available for the G2 ??
Showing video footage of a TV its like explaining VR to someone, unfortunately it just doesn't work :( I can wait to see this TV in person
