god bless you phil never going to be the same without you and don spent all my teenage years growing up with your music.you will never ever be replaced don with his melodies and you with your beautiful voice to die for.listen to you most days wherever I am. so sad when you split and had a rift so bad that it could not be mended before it was too late.always wanted to meet you and don sadly its not to be.thoughts to don and your family. keep singing with the angels r. i.p. jenny nicholas
@@maxstak5080 I'd chose The Subdudes and the Radiators over the Beatles, easily. And I'm the same age as the Paul McCartney. The Beatles just had NO funk.
Tribute to Phil Everly who with his brother Don ( The Everly Brothers), had many rock'n' roll hits: Bye Bye Love, All I have To do is dream, Kathy's Clown, Til I Kissed you, Wake up little Susie, Walk Right Back and many more.
They were huge at one time .Hit after hit . The made the Johnny cash style of holding a guitar fashionable at the time and it really was becoming to them . I always liked them and I am sad to see music deteriorate to what it has become today . I think the Righteous Brothers song " Rock and Roll Heaven " sums up my feelings about this man best
Vila i frid,Phil. On January 3 I was at taco Bell, taking pictures of the nativity scene they put in a roped off booth ,as well as a Christmas tree and other decor there--this location at Branham lane in San Jose goes all out. That is the last place I was before i went home and got the news that Phil Everly was gone and the Everly brothers were no more. This is the biggest music news our country had had in generations, and I felt an inceredible sadness realizing an era in our country's musical culture was over.I was aware that millions of people felt exactly the same way as I did at that exact moment--I was like one with a universal ,profound heartbreak.I now have an even greater appreciation for how people felt when John Kennedy died because I think I felt the same way people felt back then.I am so heartbroken for Don but I hope he is aware the loss felt is universal, though it is much worse for him. They had their first hit 8 years before I was born but yet they are of my time. Don said he didn't think he would see the day of his brother's passing and to be honest,I didn't think I would see the day of either of them passing, and they are nearly 30 years older than me.magical,indeed.

Toss-up between them and the Righteous Brothers, for me.

And Phil, as humble as he was, would never have called himself a Music Legend. He was though.
I agree.

The LEGENDARY & GREAT Everly Brothers. They, with The Platters and Connie Francis were THE VERY BEST of the 50's. Unforgettable singers.

Say Hey to Dorsey
They wrote a song about my town
Yes they were
I don't think you should ban a song over its backstory because what if people like the song and don't know what it's about. It's unfair to them

Yanks clap on the beat?
Did back then. Hadn't gotten "hip" yet. Isn't it funny, how they all look so awkward and uncomfortable?
