Star Trek Mega Suite 7: To Boldly Go

- Star Trek Klingons Suite: • Star Trek Mega Suite: ...
I promised to release one by Christmas, and this one was ready, so I hope you guys enjoy this early Christmas present for my viewers, especially now that Suite 1 has crossed 100k+ views!
As promised, here's another Star Trek Mega Suite in time for Christmas! This piece covers the remaining The Next Generation films: First Contact, Insurrection and Nemesis. It's once again the longest suite I've made!
Jerry Goldsmith was a genius. He made a bunch of memorable Star Trek music, including the iconic (and arguably most recognized) Star Trek theme from The Motion Picture, which became the theme for TNG and these 3 movies. He also wrote the famous First Contact theme, and even some overlooked themes - there's one that plays in all 3 movies (the theme when the deflector dish is destroyed or when Data dies), which really makes these three scores feel like one long one.
Along with Generations these were the movies I saw in theaters growing up, and despite any flaws I love them all - especially because of Mr. Goldsmith's scores. So with that in mind, I wanted to try and do these 3 justice as 1 extended TNG film suite. As usual, these are not necessarily tracks in film order, but just blended together thematically. This suite also acts as a dual follow-up to both the First Contact part of Suite 1 and the Borg part of Suite 5.
Note to viewers: This is NOT a music video. The still image is just for something appropriate to look at, but this is primarily an audio piece. I hope you enjoy what I put together! If you like this and my other suites, give it a like, share the video with others and subscribe if you haven't - there are more on the way!
Music From:
0:00, 59:46 - Star Trek Nemesis by Jerry Goldsmith
0:29, 1:25:37 - Star Trek First Contact by Jerry Goldsmith
30:33 - Star Trek Insurrection by Jerry Goldsmith
Star Trek Fanfare by Alexander Courage

To all those inspired by Star Trek and its music, I have only this request:
"Let's make sure that history never forgets, the name, ENTERPRISE..."
*smashes the play button on the stereo*
"It's been a long road..."
the name enterprise has deeper meaning than star trek its meant to be the unlucky ship of the fleet they show it in star trek enterprise with those old georgian age sailing ships
@@Raguleader this made my day
@@Raguleader bahahahah!
@@Raguleader *slingshots around the sun back in time just replace all copies of "faith of the hearrt" track with "Archer's theme"* YOUR WECOME TREKKIES.
It's sad to think about, but with Jerry Having died in 2004, and his son Joel passing away 8 years later, we'll probably never hear another Goldsmith compose music.
On the other hand, what a legacy to leave behind. Truly timeless music
yeah but now its time for new composers to wow us fans and i feel like its happening.
Thanks a lot. Now I can't stop crying. Just like when Majel's voice came over the comms. Uplifting and heartbreaking, all at once. Bless these people and what they do!

Stephen Barton did a great job last year🖖.
Let's make sure history never forgets the name.....Jerry Goldsmith!
truly amazing music. What a legacy.
Putting together the scene without the dialogue and just the music is one of my absolute favorite things to do in Trek. It’s a testament that Trek in everything it does although hopeful for the future makes you BECOME apart of the present situation in order for that hope of Trek to be truly realized. It makes the emotion of what is at stake become so visceral and feel “more real” in a sense. THERE IS NOT A BETTER FRANCHISE!

and the Klingon Birds of Prey approach. terrifying... world shattering... i am become death the destroyer of worlds.
At the beginning, suite from Next Generation. R.I.P. Jerry Goldsmith & Gene Roddenberry. Live long & prosper. Peace and long life.
The BEST for the Grait Galactic Bird King Roddenberry
At the beginning 0:01 it’s from Nemesis. Enterprise 1st general showdown after The Riker’s ceremony.
And James Horner
Who were those two people playing?
@@gideonbudd8945 you may have been joking, but in case: Jerry Goldsmith composed some (the best) of the Star Trek music in this video and Gene Roddenberry created Star Trek. Both had a tremendous grasp of the vision that is Star Trek.
2:20 "Sir, there's another starship coming in. It's the Enterprise!"
PERHAPS TO DAY IS A GOOD DAY TO DIE, PREPARE FOR RAMMING SPEED!!!! most badass line in star trek ever!
"Perhaps today is a good day to die!"
Jean-Luc Martel "Assimilate this."
Fire!
*You may Fire when ready.*
Love love love that First Contact theme along with ALL the others :)
First Contact Theme is my favourite piece of music. It's just beautiful. The composer perfectly captured what the film (and Star Trek) is all about.
100% agreed.
Hard to believe sometimes that the Enterprise, Captain Kirk, Mr Spock, etc never existed, nor ever will, and none of their adventures ever happened.
But l still love Star trek.
1:25:10 adds that hauntingly sweet melody of blue skies. It’s so subtle yet tears me up every time. R.I.P Lieutenant Commander Data
Does anyone know what that song is called?
The Enterprise D and Enterprise E will always have a special place in my heart, including the TMP Enterprise.
Thank you!! Great Star Trek themes and music.
Have to admit when the Klingon theme kicks in and one sees the resolve on Worf's face you know that between this warrior and the arrival of the Enterprise, the Borg are about to take a beating ...
Boldy going for 50 Years...
Here's to 50 more!
or going back in time to assimilate the earth, change history!
But why are we still here??
Michael Evans because the Enterprise stoped them!
Here's to actually boldly going somewhere in 50 years
Hear, Hear!
"Ensign Tyrannicus... Take us out".
I never get tired of listening to these Star Trek soundtracks. All of them are amazing.
god, the slow/lyrical parts of this soundtrack are just achingly gorgeous.
Your first word is the key one. There is some divine inspiration here, I feel. The Holy Spirit is WAY more active than we think - it paid me a visit in February, when I begged for mercy in a health predicament, and I love it more dearly than words can say.
So true
Thank you, Tyrannicus -- your incredible ability and passion has lifted me up and has given me the courage to face my own undiscovered country: at age 70 and beyond.
Phyllis Hamilton May your burdens be light, and your journey come to a complete and restful end.

i guess Im kinda randomly asking but does anybody know of a good place to stream newly released movies online?
@Christopher Alvaro flixportal :D
@Miles Parker thanks, I went there and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :) Appreciate it !
By far, the best ever music recorded for any Star Trek movie In the history of the franchise is during the Vulcan landing on Earth at the end of FIRST CONTACT. Absolutely stunning and very emotional moment at the theater when I saw it. There were people intently watching the movie that night, almost like watching Humanity on film as if it really happened. The music in that movie was everything to that experience.
At 1:30 ua-cam.com/video/M4xm7x052XQ/v-deo.html
Totally agree
22 freaking years later and i STILL get chills from this scene. It's one of the most powerful moments in Star Trek. it's literally what Star Trek is all about.
Thinking back, you're right. It really elevates the movie even though I now notice just how schizophrenic the story is.
LMAO. I remember saying "Oh shit it Romulans." I got freaking booed, it's one of my favorite memories in a theatre.
6:10 STARFLEET COMMAND WE NEED REINFORCEMENTS!! gives me chills everytime...
22:20
"Sweet Jesus!!!"
"relax doctor, I'm sure they're just here to give us a sendoff"
CRIMMY!
The Insurrection theme speaks volumes of what that movie actually means. I wish people gave it more credit....it was one of the most 'Trek' films of them all dealing with many of the themes explored in the show, even if we've seen it all before.
That beginning gets me every time.
I could go to sleep to this. Glory to you, and your house.
I have an hour and a half drive tomorrow. I know what I'll be listening to all the way! Thank You!!
Perfect music to play Stellaris!
SAME HERE
Even better is playing Star Trek: New Horizons mod on Stellaris to this music!
Or Star Trek: Online!
Wow, it's been years. I had almost forgotten how good Goldsmith was. That bothers me. Thank you for not letting us forget .
The piano medley near the end is just such a perfect touch. Just wraps it all up and puts a bow on the whole thing.
I am a Star Trek fan of course, but this music keeps me alert during those long hours at work on the computer. Thanks!
A beautiful arrangement, thank you. Can never overstate the amazing pieces of music that Jerry Goldsmith gave us. The section starting at 34:50 from Insurrection when Picard finds Geordi looking at the sunrise, that scene never fails to bring a tear to my eye, so much expression and emotion from Levar Burton.
For some reason I find visorless Geordi to be far superior to visor Geordi, perhaps that enhanced the "nice guy" vibes that he sometimes gave off, First Contact and beyond he was fantastic.
I had forgotten how stirring the Star Trek music can be. Thanks for the suite. Sweet.
Using this to write my thesis. Yeeeehaw, to boldly go where no solar cell has gone before!
Silicium or Dilithium?
🖖🙂

'Final Flight' when Data gets blown out into space and boards the Scimitar was awesome 😎. Its all playing during Picard & Shinzon's Final Fight.... I get it now.
U have done a great job of putting all of these track together, I do not need videos since I play to listen while I work and play on my computer. Thanks so much for doing these suits and sharing them. I have the entire collection of all Star Trek movie and music on cd but my computer is a lap top and this is the only way I can listen to music with ear buds and not disturb anyone else in the house. I grew up a trekie and will always be one, lol. I hope someday (probably long after I am gone) that Gene Rodenberry dream to explore the universe comes to pass, before humans destroy themselves, and that it turns out we are not alone.
Star Trek Forever. Thanks for uploading !!
I have just found my new go to soundtracks for playing Star Trek Online, great from 1 to 7.
This is single-handedly the best Mega Suite of all the ones out there. So many glorious pieces, I actually think 53:54 is the best
Just got to say thank you!
All my favorite themes arranged in one clip, if only I could have this running in my car!
What I would give for one more TNG movie with Goldsmith doing the music.
Miller Animations
Oh I am aware but I can dream :)
I had hoped his son would pick up the mantle after helping on First Contact and doing the Star Gate SG1 etc. work but sadly he has also passed away.
OK this is probably four years too late, but you can download any youtube post with this: youtubemp4.to/
I just listened to all of this. Love Goldsmith in general, even more so on Star Trek. This combo of First Contact, Insurrection and Nemesis is really something! Thanks for the upload!
Use this as background music while playing STO!
me too!
Me three
Yep,
Me 4!
Doing it now!
I have just found this video and all I can say is WOW. I have been listening to this whilst building the Enterprise E. It gave me the passion and desire to keep going. Thank you
Jerry Goldsmith was a genius. I find myself coming back again and again to this suite. Thank you for putting it together ❤🚀
No sheet. Jerry Goldsmith is a total genius. He made most powerfull music I have ever heared. Well, I can say one thing: Engage Capitain.
to boldly go where we all have gone before because we like it so much!
1:18:44 Damn this string section always gives me goosebumps.
Thank you for uploading these wonderful suites.
1:58 For you Klingon lovers
Qapla!
He did a whole Mega Suite on the Klingon topic:

1:10:40 "Now, Diana!"
This gives me hope. :)
Same here, man. It's comforting, in a way. No matter how bad things get, how dark they seem at times, this is still out there. We can always look to this vision of a better future, and we can take hope from it.
"The Federation was a dream that came to life and spread throughout the starts"
As a great man once said, I too have a dream.
ya & the defiant was adrift but salvageable that little bugger never dies!
A beautiful shot at a beautiful ship.
This is the Star Trek theme. Its just as powerful and timeless as any John Williams theme
20:47 That hopeful build really seemed like the moment the crew started to turn things around, marked perfectly by "Assimilate this!"
Still, and forever, the best. Thank you, Tyrannicus!!!
I got into Star Trek because of Jerry. His music was incredibly powerful. The score for The Motion Picture is one of the best pieces of film music ever recorded--it's like a musical tone poem. Of TNG films, I'd have to say the score to Insurrection gets the most plays but they are all so incredibly expressive.
The theme that Tyrannicus mentions that runs through all three films is generally called the "Friendship Theme" and it made its first appearance in Jerry's score for The Final Frontier, another powerful score that is often overlooked in his catalog. It makes a very prominent appearance in the cues "A Busy Man" and "An Angry God."
FINALLY I HAVE FOUND A HEART BEATING AS THE MINE... TYRANNICUS
"I do not think it is appropriate for a Starfleet officer to appear......naked."
some of the ballads here are some of the prettiest music I've EVER heard! Especially from Insurrection.
Quite agree. Let's cut through some of the lightweight or trivial-ish comments around here and get to the nitty-gritty. With this inspired masterwork of splicing playing in the background we are taken irresistibly to some greater and finer place than we have or know now. Star Trek's relationship with religion was always fraught and ambiguous to say the least. Is this a humanist take that puts humans on a pedestal with no need for God at all, or is this in fact a deeply-religious franchise, in which the goodness and brilliance humans are able to muster at their best is indeed the clearest sign of God's existence and benificence? For me, the music at its best has the Holy Spirit of God behind it and within it. So I think I have the answer I need to the above conundrum.
The first few seconds makes my day everytime
One of the most under rated movie scores out there, this is right up there with the very best
Added to favourites. Thanks :)
When I saw your profile picture next to your comment, I thought it was an eyelash and tried blowing it off of my phone screen. LoL
The piece at 30:40 is one of the most beautiful ive ever heard and brings back some very special memories
I LOVE STAR TREK AND ITS MUSIC AND IT GETS BETTER EVERYTIME!!!
10 seconds in and pure epic already
Buy Sins of a Solar Empire, download the Star Trek Armada 3 mod, disable the music and stream this instead on loop. Hours of bliss
A real treat for the ears, thank you.
Love when confronting the Borg there is like a hint of Aliens them.
Enjoying this while working. :) Thank you!
Ich liebe die Star Trek Musik Danke fürs hochladen
First Contact may very well be the finest Trek film ever made, and your sweeping, remastered suite captures the essence well. Bravo!
Undiscovered country 💟
Love the introduction of the klingon theme at 2:12
Helm! Warp one! Engage!
100.40 I see what Jerry goldsmith did here a nice throwback to star trek 5 smh it took me this long to notice it.
Kirk: Kahn are up for a rematch? I'm laughing at the superior intellect.
Kahn: Full impulse power! Damn you!!
Kirk: He is persistent, I'll give'em that.
pretty much the music I will play on my first warp trip :D
The cue starting at 2:31 is one of my favorites. Carries so much suspense and tension
Thank you for rekindling the beauty of Star Trek in my heart. I am overwhelmed.
22:16 "Sweet Jesus!"
Do a Romulan suite please. All of your tracks are a lovely collection of Star Trek music.
Absolutely loving your work. Thanks for all you've done.
Nice :) and my father always watched Star Trek
I've been listening to these while playing swtor, which isn't even a star trek game. Yes, I am that much of a nerd.
SO uplifting and adventurous.
Nooo, all the other megasuites are gone! The anniversary video was my favourite. It is just sad
Fabulous editing. Ty needs to be nominated for something via UA-cam.
I love Star Trek music. Very stirring and emotionally grabbing.
Igen. Jerry Goldsmith egy zseni!
Its been 6 years and this is still the best
40:42 - Sounds like the Protoss theme in Starcraft 2. :)
thank you so much for taking the time to make this incredible musical medley. So many feels felt while listening to this.
I enjoyed this a lot. Thanks.
Using First Contact's theme at the end was a good choice after the Nemesis segment... should have been like this on the film
This is quit awesome...well...i have some goosebumps LLAP
The First Contact theme...... perfect. Amazing job again by the way, makes me miss the old TV series and Movie universe even more, they really need to get started on another as soon as the "Abrams trilogy" is finished.
MASTER WU Something I would like to see is an Abramsverse TV show, which combines both the action from the abrams movies and the sci fi, exploration and moral issues of the other shows.
i got better for u its action and trek its called DS9
Well, they did that. And it's absolute crap.
Careful what you wish for.
Whelp, they delivered! One of the best television shows of the moment.
It's more than a trilogy he's planning on making a 4th movie.
Hands down the best one you've made yet.
37:10 from Insurrection.
I love it.
🖖😍
This music is approved Cmdr Starfleet Command
my favorite is and always the Klingon theme from first contact. "Perhaps today is a good day to die! ! PREPARE FOR RAMMING SPEED! !"" haha.
these are perfect for reading or if you need something to listen to while working or playing video games!!! thanks!
Eager to hear what you got for part 6
Travis Linton I'm guessing Voyager and DS9? Can't wait to hear it :)
+Travis Linton so would Rick&Morty LOL
Also they would have Into Darkness/and Beyond music :)
Amazing compilation of some outstanding scores!
