Another dart 2jz video to plan my imaginary dart build
lol, thanks for watching! Live it through us :)
I've got an imaginary build also. Let's compare dyno numbers when we're up and imaginary running.
Gotta imagine it to make it happen 💪🏻💪🏻
making nearly 1900hp on oem size studs and wet sump.. insane. And the top end power is wild for a 3.5.
Super cool! Wet sump actually (oem oiling system)
We'll find out more when they discover what the coolant pressure anomaly is.
Bigger bore, bigger stroke. What’s not to love about this??? I’m blown away by the power but more so how much torque this makes.
The 2JZ lives. And will continue to live.
Awesome, love the dart block excitement
Us too!
Where is Jay?
They have 2 Jays
I think it’s time to get back in the 2jz game
Now is a great time!
It's really exciting to actually see these results in real time on the new platform.🏁🏁🏁🏁💯🔥
Who else wants to see a big Turbo and 3,000+ Horsepower 💪
Hell yeah
Oem size headstuds and a oem gasket making that much power is insane
Danger To Manifold 😂
Amazing i want that as my ringtone 😍
This setups proving to be pretty sweet. Wonder what it’ll do with a promod turbo on it 🤔
All these videos are making us pretty excited for ours! We’re going to powder coat it first too!
I'm really liking your content. You package a lot in with really great information and not too much BS and trying to overhype everything.
I don't even own a 2J, but I do own a a Barra turbo....this dart block even almost at the capacity of my motor; it still sounds like a 2J!
I always wondered if the 2J and a Ford Barra would sound different if they were the same capacity?
It's a weird thing how all of the performance turbo charged 6 cylinders still carry their unique resonance sound 👌
Albeit RBs do sound a lot like a 20B rotary at certain areas of the rev range? 🤔
I always jump up listening with excitement only to be dogged by another pesky Skyline 🙄 of course it's a Skyline, the probability of it being a manual 20B anything is f***ing so low, but somehow I still get excited at the possibility of being one even though know it's darn Datsun FFS
Let's goo Real Street!
Can’t wait to swap my GTE block out for this in my sc💪🏻
Wouldn't shorter stroke and therefore higher RPM make more power and be more reliable? Lol! 96 mm seems like a lot of stroke!
But don't get me wrong, this engine is absolutely fantastic!
Looking forward to the teardown video.
Making big block numbers on a 3.5L is just nuts, this dart block is a absolute game changer, i wonder how it's going to compare to billet blocks over time. It being cast iron is awesome for a ultimate street build because it will have much better street characteristics. I've heard of billet block guys needing to fully get the block warmed up before making at hit on it.
The key to big block numbers is 70+ psi of boost😂 The engine is still very impressive though
The key to big block numbers is 70+ psi of boost😂 The engine is still very impressive though
I could only dream my favorite Mercedes inlines could get this kind of love.. We got the bore space advantage over the 2J 😉 Inline sixes are awesome no matter the flavor 😁
Nice video.i havent seen jay in a while..
this block got number 2 stamped on it so I guess first one to be sold
That integra dude 3 down
I'm a Dart fan but "only" 1800 horses, let's push it to 2500 to impress people
We cant wait to push the block further! The 8685 Next Gen turbo that just released and we were testing in this video has a rating to 1800 hp. Once we put a big turbo on this engine we are looking to make over 2000hp :)
Thanks for watching!
how much actual "break in" run time did you do before doing the power pulls?
Will there be a long block option?
Don’t you loose ringland when stroke is increased?
Reupload? I swear I just watched this full video yesterday was it copyrighted?
We partner with That Racing Channel for some of our releases. We're super excited to get these Dart blocks out to people and sharing what we find!
Where can you get this rotating assembly
Anyone know if I can run a 1.5JZ on an Aristo 2JZ non-VVTi ECU/injectors just to get myself up and running? My Soarer GT-T lost almost half its compression in Cylinder 5 and I caught a smoking deal on a brand new 2JZ-GTE short block from Toyota. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Yes you can. 440cc on the twins with aristo ecu. Or get some 550cc usdm 2jzgte injectors. Keep in mind the turbos have a limit so a single turbo should be in the works. Budget end a super afc, higher end a standalone ecu. Cheap, fast, reliable, you can only pick two. Good luck and enjoy your car.

Thanks so much for the answer. I guess I need to call wiring specialties and get a harness made.
How much for a long block/crate motor?!!
Do you guys mind sharing the A/R housing? I won’t be running this much power but Hanz has helped me pick out parts I’ll need for 1400 whp on the stock 2jz block and I’m seriously considering the 86/85 so I’d love to know which you guys went with?
Would have to be on the medium to smaller side to get to 70 psi out of 3.5L. 1.02 to 1.10 would be my guess...
@@rangerst_870 I was thinking 1.15
Hey guys, we went with the larger 1.28 A/R. Check out the blog post for some more details. Let us know if you have other questions!
@@markconte1513 BLOG POST?!? On REAL STREET website?!?
@@markconte1513 if you guys were shooting for 1400 whp with a BC 90 mm 3.2 2jz stroker using the same 86/85 which A/R size would y’all start with?? Asking for a friend lol
fuel?
Fucking amazing!
How does it compare to a billet block?
Well it's 3xs less money so not really comparing apples to apples. But I'd say it's doing pretty good for the money.
I'm a huge Horror Movie buff and if the 2jz was a Thriller Killer Villain I'd be MICHAEL MYERS AKA. HALLOWEEN 💀🎃. Hell Yeah Brother!!! POWA 😎🏁🏁🏁🏁
Where is jim
What happen to Jay
This interview style with dude clearly already knowing the answers to the questions is annoying. However, I appreciate the presentation of data albeit limited.
can't wait to see it in a car and lauching.
4 BOLT !!
how much gang? :D
Bout tree fidy.
How much is a setup like this 50K? Anybody else want to guess
Bout tree fidy.
Yeah you’re over the 150k range
The block is only 4500. I can't imagine this costing over 30k for the long block and turbo setup. Now the ECU can be as cheap as 3000 or as much as you want to spend. But 150k is way too high an estimate for this. Stock oiling system. Stock cooling setup. Stock sized head studs and style HG.
The 1/2" head stud option is free too. I'd have that option checked automatically to help with HG sealing. I can imagine a stock Bore/stroke would seal awesome with those studs and meat on the surface. I bet a 1200whp 2JZ with this block setup would be very reliable.
Give that to Dylan Hughes Ken Gushi and Forrest Wang for a season. Then tare them down.
Why these guys reading off a script? Wheres Jay at?
I can only hit 179mph on a circuit track
Danger to manifold! Hahahahaha
I miss Jay's sinserity.
Bring it down to 375hp
70 PSI and only 1800 hp??
Am I missing something here??
Don't the billet blocks at the same displacement make 3000+??
They were specifically testing the block and the turbo. They shut the test down at the max rpm given by the Turbo manufacturer. They also were running a factory head gasket and oil system which the billit blocks don't. They are going to tear down the engine and check the bearings and then rebuild it with a bigger turbo and the upgrades that the billit block guys to. This vid isn't to build the heights HP engine o. The Internet, it was to test to see if a cast iron block and new turbo are capable of what they said they can do.
5:12 see's 69 "Nice"
No nitrous
Motive video should do a feature on this motor but I doubt it. Usually people ride the wagon since the skyline is becoming more legal in the states. Meanwhile… the JZ was first import in the fives. #makeJZgreat #CastISfast
just another budget build
Herman Urriola from Platinum racing / Motive Video says if its a Dart or Bullet 2JZ, then its NOT a 2JZ anymore ....
I would like YOU people to tell him he is wrong.
Not saying this guy doesnt know what hes saying. But i like to listen to jay 🥲
