Very cool shit. As someone who has no favorite Make and has owned everything from a 77 Caprice Estate wagon to an 02 Subaru WRX or a 12 Mustang GT and currently a German hairdresser 21 TTRs with over 600 HP among many others, I always knew the Coyote was an amazing platform. They can make insane HP with forced induction. They sound amazing.
The single downside is size. That's it.
EDIT: WAIT! Ok so you might need a clean room and some advanced knowledge to rebuild one. heh.

The FFRE / Real Street/ MSR Team Coyote is extremely impressive for a handful of reasons 💯
The SMX / SML engine is relatively new compared to the Coyote In regards to “engineering”
I completely agree that a 300+ c.I. Engine turning 9,500+ rpm on a stock block, crank, head, etc running low 6’s @ 224+mph is EPIC 💯
Especially when door to door with an SMX / SML 400 / 540+ inch billet everything … however Steve is one ☝️ man engineering and funding the program where The Coyote program as 100+ engineers and 100’s of millions of funding … so impressive to both to say the least

Started with Ford as a lucky 15 ( 75') yr. old w/ a Courier... to learn to drive, lol. 76' bought my first real driver 69' Chevelle SS with a donor tri power 427 from around the same year Vette... M-22, Moroso brute strength posi... yada, yada, boo... into full rebuild and the first narrowed 12 bolt in S.E. Texas... SO... for the last 25 years I've been building one off exclusive builds 32' to 35' ford trucks and coupes. ( have built self made sizes 120% to 172% scales... for a customer the only 34' coupe out of Beryllium copper sheets/304ss ... lol )
Been looking all these years for a Ford engine that tripped my trigger... your video has sunk a hook that requires a round of due diligence... I'm stoked, runnin' around the house... even got such an inebriated rush going... I slapped the wife on her larger cheeks... lol... with no smiles... lol. Appreciate the honesty you have shared... I'm 64 years old my first 3 trucks were Fords. My first car at 16, in 76' was a 69' Chevelle SS w/ an original L-88 427 and a Muncie R-22... I worked at the local speed shop from 15 to almost 18... working on my Bosses' " COLE BLACK " Flatbottom V- drive who set the World Record in Injected BBC that held for years and years! So... needless to say, I was cemented as a Chevy guy till 2022... WHEN out of my vision appears this Coyote F- 150 truck... and Iam back to being a turncoat...lol!
You three in this video, Manuel, Randy Seals, ONDGAS, and HOUSTON SYREET MONSTERS... have me ECSTATICALLY building these things like crazy!!! I cannot thank you enough for the amount of SOLID INFO, YOU GENTS HAVE SHARED... definitely an IMMEASURABLE WEALTH OF KNOWLEDGE, that have allowed me my last " hurrah as it will! What would your recommendations be to reduce stress on the motor. Your comment regarding how hard the 6r80 could be got me thinking. What can I do to the driveline, while remaining a stick to help it live longer?
If that isnt the best place for longevity what is one thing youd otherwise recommend? So far it has been good fuel, ensuring its up to temp before any abuse, and frequent oil changes. This car is driven on the street with maybe monthly track outings but sometimes more.

      This isn't using a 6r80
With the TH400 they can run a much looser converter/combination of parts that lets the engine stay above their target rpm range on shifts
The TH400 can be manually/pneumatically shifted at rpm points/speeds even if the transmission can't "see" the rpm
The 6r80 being a clutch on clutch automatic and computer controlled cannot do that

My background is high performance airplane engines. Can't see much holding that top plate down on manifold ! A few bolts is all I see. With the 'cycling' pressure inside your asking for trouble. Stretched bolts...expanding / contracting aluminum. It'll weaken over time..... that top plate will blow off before burst panel.

Would be so cool if RS or Steve Morris would develop a 6L version of this platform with room to grow in a billet block. Very impressive that these OEM factory parts held up as well as they did @ 6.5 times factory power output. OEM block, crank, heads, cam caps, timing system. GM are you watching?

@@Airman.. during development GM first used fords 5.2 ltr program to learn from then they went to Ferrari and finished their new design after inspecting both. What GM did is nothing new- they just too the development other companies spent $$$$ on and upgraded. Ferrari and Ford both have new upgraded platforms coming out. Everyone is stepping up the game- like Ford did initially, GM is having trouble with the new engine. A handful have self destructed within 50-75 miles off the showroom floor

MMR has a billet block and with ported gt350 heads and @ 351 in³ they ran a 5.67 @ 265mph. I'm fairly certain no oem head has done this.

Caps look cast so better put some billet caps. Or if not billet steel caps if possible.
