    Thank you for sharing these! I have a mouse in my house and your videos are really great! I made the minnow trap one and hoping it works soon. My mouse seems to avoid every trap I set though. It won't go into any enclosure. It loves lever soap but only eats it if it's out of a trap. It got on the bucket trap once and manage to hop off and never touched it again. Sure hoping something works soon.

    Just a question about your channel logo... is the ladybug's head on backwards, or does it have its antennae in its mouth?

    That edge that allows the mice to walk in and out can be seen in two ways :
    1) More than one mouse can be caught at the same time until the knucklehead that hits the triggers traps all of them . or
    2) it is a waste of bait and a possibility the mice will LEARN the way out is through the side.

      It is a great exercise for your mechanical creativity and problem solving.
      Did you read about a company who applied for the TRUMP wall and working out speed and cost of production , invented a new self pouring foam cement method , origami like walls that unfold at the push of a few buttons and you wind up with a full one bedroom house (with garage) for $20,000 !!! The MANSION is $200,000. Nowadays you can not rent a Studio apartment in NYC for less than $1,500 a month plus utilities. Imagination is the archrival of greed.

      I thought "That WALL will actually pay off. It is going to bring home ownership with the latest and most modern constructions and features at a price around what my grandparents paid for their wooden hut. Time to leave NYC and $500,000 mortgages for a one bedroom. Also time to look for land in underdeveloped areas.

    Re your bucket .... I don't think the coat-hanger to tin can interface is a good one. Also the mice will simply jump out of the bucket. Not surprised zero catches. Unfortunately (for the mice) if you want to catch lots, you have to be prepared to damage them with the bucket method. The little buggers are like Saturn V's launching.

    • @LadybugAdventures
      @LadybugAdventures  7 років тому +1

      Yeah, I've watched some jump out of a bucket before. You don't expect that. I know a little sand or water on the bottom is better. I was going to revise it with a longer can and see. My main problem is that because it is outdoors, the raccoons and skunks get to it first.

    You could do away with the pull tab by sticking a seed/nut into one of the twists of the wire.

    • @LadybugAdventures
      @LadybugAdventures  7 років тому

      Good idea. I was thought of doing that but I'd have to search for a good seed size and I didn't want to mess with changing the trigger point by accident. The pop tab allows for different sized seeds. Thanks for the feedback. It always helps! More heads are better than one.

    if the bucket doesn't work... it's probably not high enough. set up a cam and watch the footage?
    "why does it work for everyone else, but not for me?"
    you have an ingenious mind. why can't you figure it out?

    • @LadybugAdventures
      @LadybugAdventures  4 роки тому

      I've tried different methods to protect the bucket. Higher is not enough. Raccoons can climb. They have simply learned that I set out these traps that have food in them and learn to check out my backyard. They're the Kings of the scavengers
