Every year, millions of tons of plastic waste end up in our oceans and landfills, causing severe environmental damage. By recycling plastic bottles, we can: 1. Conserve resources: Recycling reduces the need for new raw materials, saving energy and natural resources. 2. Reduce pollution: Proper disposal prevents plastic from contaminating ecosystems and harming wildlife. 3. Save energy: Producing recycled plastic uses less energy than creating new plastic from scratch. 4. Create jobs: The recycling industry provides employment opportunities in collection, processing, and manufacturing. 5. Mitigate climate change: Recycling reduces greenhouse gas emissions associated with plastic production and waste incineration. Like, if you agree👍
Probably the most useful and practical video of all the thousands i have seen over the years. With the amount of plastic being dumped or just thrown away these days - maybe companies should rethink !! Give this guy a Gold Medal (mad out of plastic of course ;) 🥰
Agree. Just wish you'd slow it down a bit. Maybe pause a bit between each idea? Gives us slower people time to absorb what we just watched. Had to take a break after 1/4 of the way through. Too intense! You probably could acquire more watchers if you dived it into 3 or 4 videos. Just my humble opinion. Fresh, new ideas though! Clever.
@@dresdelparry2346 i agree w/ ur opinion.....i didnt get even a quarter of the way through before i had to take a break! now thats watt i call influencing!
I loved many of these ideas. Some of my favorites: - using the gallon handles mounted to the wall or board to hold cleaning or other tools (brooms, hammer, etc) - hanging the ice bottles behind a fan (just need something to catch the drips and use that water to water your plants - making a watering can - the zippered container - the waterproof matchstick container - the small items hanging organizers ... And other i cannot think of right now
I was actually really impressed how many clever ideas you had…things that would realistically be very useful and convenient without being cheesy, gimmicky, or obviously cheap and ugly looking. I would actually do some of the ideas. Props. The video is pretty long though, you could split it up and might even benefit your channel to do so, with the algorithm and all. It’s unfortunate so many of the commenters are so close-minded and negative (and stupid. I hate to be mean and negative myself, but come on, if the video is going too fast for you then slow it down, or rewind it! Don’t downvote it just because you have a pea-brain!) I think it’s great what you are doing; inspiring people to recycle and minimize waste is wonderful. And with so many legit clever ideas and hacks I guarantee there is at least something for even the most cynical of people (if they make it through the whole video).
First of all, I will never look at a bottle the same again!! 😂 And thank you. It was actually very informative and entertaining. I create little projects all the time and this just threw so many ideas at me at 3:37 AM 😂
Glad to see a UA-camr actually doing something helpful and interesting on videos rather than doing stupid challenges for subscribers for their content. Everybody wants to be a UA-camr now. It's freaking ridiculous.
OMGoodness.... this is the first time that I have never seen most of these hacks... THANK YOU and I love them! Well done... I will be sharing this and you have earned my subscription
*Outstanding!* I also love and appreciate your pinned comment. 💯💚 I do _highly_ suggest including chapters for easy reference, especially on such a lengthy, packed vid. Even including hack titles throughout each segment would greatly help. Nonetheless, I very much enjoyed this from start to finish. Please (anyone) help me to understand the very last hack, how exactly does this benefit cyclists?
100 different brilliant ideas, thank you for sharing and I’m just wondering what is the best tool that you use for cutting plastic? They are all different kinds of plastic and some are really hard to cut.
😹😹😹that last one has Ben around since I was a teenager 😹😹😹 only difference we used tin cans, plastic bottles and hot glue guns were not a thing back then all soft drinks came in glass bottles, and there was not such a thing as plastic cards like the one you used😹😹😹 gees now I feel blooming old as the hills😹😹😹 we used cardboard clipped onto the bike spokes using Moms wooden pegs off the washing line and if there was a large enough tin can it was used to create the echo chamber. You had some great ideas mixed in the video.
Not sure where you think the water is gonna drain as it melts behind the fan, which is by the way electric last time I checked water and electricity don’t mix well….. what do I know? 🤷🏼♀️ i’ve only worked in the ED and Trauma Unit for 28 years. But yeah, last time I checked, water and electricity don’t mix. As much as I love this video, I do have to reiterate what other people have said is bad really bad. I wish we would all go back to glass. I’m happy to pay the deposit plus everything tasted better and it’s safer for our bodies and the ocean. Frogs are born with six legs, seven legs. Bees and frogs are the first sign that is going down the drain no pun intended. so I guess if you have these really great ideas with the plastic bottles as long as we’re not buying them and we’re reusing what we already have. It’s fantastic. Maybe that’s something you could open with your next video. I’d love to support you, but I wanna make sure your hearts in the future of the planet. It is important to a lot of us. I’m not a tree hugger, but I do wanna live in a clean world.❤❤❤
@tovah2246 ❤ Ain't it the truth! Glass molecules are closer together so food really Does taste better, as do soft drinks! Glass gets recycled more often too, the dirty secret of plastic recyclers. I'm with you!
So there’s a few suggesting to heat up / melt a bottle cap to insulate wires…. But does it really work? Won’t the conducted electricity heat up and potentially melt the plastic or start a fire? I know rubber isn’t conductive but I don’t think the same goes for all plastics right?
"Impressive video! What future projects or topics are you planning to cover next? I’m looking forward to seeing more of your content and would love to know what’s coming up."
😂 just tell them you are doing your part for the planet. What are they doing to recycle? Lol. I don't know. I'm trying to help you out with ideas to fight back against the cheapskate comments. Hahaha I got it find a cool clever few of them and just make them when nobody's around and set them up. I thought the hiking cup out of a bottle was genius because it had a handle. Not very sturdy probably but an emergency lol. Hell, I grabbed a giant square jug and was about to make a toolbox out of it like he showed, but the lock was the lid and I used the two lids to make a little water pump out of just because I could. UA-cam's really playing with my creativity I went from writing song, lyrics and poems to making a tiny water pump in a soldering iron! What did I need a tiny water pump for 😂
Me either, but I find them, like, everywhere. Besides, you may have some to work with - shampoo, dish soap, laundry soap, condiments, etc.. Hunting can be fun, too!,,,😊
Re the ice coolers on the fan. Unscrew the caps, put small bowels underneath and catch the water as it melts, so it doesn't go out the circulation holes. You just can't use an oscillating fan. The one in the vid was not.
This video reflects what “necessity” really means. I have lived through it in my younger years during communism. Things break down and you must find the way to repair everything without the proper parts, so you become very ingenious! It’s not pretty, but you gotta do what you gotta do!
Your idea of making an icecubes based cooling device can be made much better. Instead of icecubes, use an icepack or party icecubes. Reusable, unlike icecubes that melt away.

2:10 -- what do you do when the ice starts melting in the water starts dripping through all the holes that you poked in that bottle?
It's a good video but it needs to slow down a little bit so you can catch on what they're doing. Some of these are great ideas.
You can slow it down all the way to 25% in the settings. I always slow down everything to 75 but these videos need to go 25%.. 😅
