Must've been a strawberry milk shake guys, sweet build peter!!
Fancy camera angles! = Compensation (for SO SOOOO many things! LOL!)!
At least I know every subscriber here is REAL and at least I know every comment here is REAL. I also know every one, good or bad, is kept up. To me this is a learning and discussing channel. Not just a series of advertisements.
Thank you Peter, and friends, for real car audio content.
You definitely see it clearly what’s happening on this channel! I’m looking forward to seeing the results of it in the community & culture in 10 years time! 💪🤘🔊🔊
The knowledge that you share in your videos is priceless, truly inspiring. Many thanks.
I love these kinds of vids, where good thoughtful, great stuff is created (And honestly shared) And we can learn things and think about implementing some of it in our own car. Great Peter, thanks for making these vids! 👍👌
He definitely gives us more ideas about not usual locations to mount subwoofers. I would've never thought about mounting one in the dash. I was an autobody technician for many years so this would very much be within my talents.
Wow that is so beautiful! And really strong!!
Awesome craftmanship and design......Enjoy watching the process and what goes into a superb SQ install.
Awesome build Mates. Thank you for inspiring me
Thank you for sharing your techniques. Great work again sir!
Great work and insight into the methodology of your system designs
Awesome job 👍 Love the build! 👍
Brilliant. F the video production, the information here is priceless.
You always do the most amazing work. I wish i was on the other side of the pond so i could see the work in person. Great work. Unfortunately I'm living in new Jersey.
✈️ 😃
Fuck yeah.!!!Video pops up as I cover my first dash speak grills with cloth burning the hell outta my fingers with the hot glue gun… hey it’s not a custom sub but they look like they could go in the same car! Inspiring Pete. Keep it up.!!!!
Very nice work!
Gorgeous!
Fuck the Dislikes! Keep it coming Pete, always love to see you guys at the forefront of Car audio!!
I'm going to try the jigsaw technique.. nice!!!
good night , Love the attention to detail . Have you ever thought of using a smaller driver in conjunction with a passive radiator ? With the passive radiator facing forward and the driver firing down I think it should have less colouration from the bass/midbass upfront.
soon it will be time to share the GT3 ;) love your builds !!!!!
Haha yeah, that video too! 😂
Good work !
Holy sh*t, soooo awesome seeing the process!
Your awesome!! This is awesome!!
Nice stuff!!!
Hi again Peter, What’s your opinion on a 10” sub built down firing under the center console. The sub will be kind of under the dash about where the calf of your legs sit. Thats the best description of measurement I could give to you. The sub will have about 3.5 inches of space between it and the floor/carpet. Will be in the same location where they put the stock BOSE subwoofer on the 2007-2013 Chevy Tahoe’s/Silverado’s/Suburban’s the enclosure will obviously be custom made.
Thank you peter
Thank you for watching! 😊
They dislike because they are haters lol. Wicked stuff guys xx
How can they dislike them, that's crazy, these guys are cool and show you their stuff, I'm almost done with my system just from watching
I'm just learning hope u take a look, have a great day.
@@eduardobatista329 yeah man it's sad really. Haters going to hate.. Nothing we can do about it. Just use it as motivation I suppose xx
What router bit do you use for cutting the rings in birch ply? How much depth per pass? Keep up the amazing work!!
Nothing special, just a 1/4” straight cutter on the circle jig and 1/2” flush bit on the router table. I do 2-3mm / 1/8” at a time.
I have a Focal 10" in my passenger footwell but it loses out on a lot of low end it seems. Do people usually supplement this with a 15" IB in the back or is there a better way to fix the low end extension? I really like the idea of having the sub inside the cabin for my next build so I will either do a 12" in the glovebox area like this, or a 15" IB in the back. Any thoughts on those 2 ideas?
Did you do this glovebox install? What did you cross it at?
Mark the check: Peter used "mad" instead of "grazy" :D
🤣🤣
What are your thoughts on using large “popsicle” sticks and either more fiberglass, or fiber filler? Or do you prefer using thicker wood as the base material?
For a subwoofer enclosure i’d rather use thicker sticks to give a stronger core.
Have you ever tryed IB subwoofer or woofers on the kicks , like Earl Zausmer BMW?
Not yet as it’s rather difficult in UK with RHD cars, pedal doesn’t leave much space on driver’s side for anything, but i’ve heard few cars like that and oh yeah, 100% worth it!
@@pssound9749, I wanna try 2 10” Acoustic Elegance in the kicks. IBAU or Dipole. Unfortunely it’s impractable to bring you my car.
@@rodrigobau49 serious builds take long time to build and depending on where you are, it maybe better financially even with the transportation cost included. 🤷🏻♂️😃
Hey pete do you use a relay on the hdsp v out to amps if more than 2 or 3 amps , and if you havent have you had any issues
You’ve seen the answer in the other post. 👍
Sorry I just saw this, I did see your respond, thank you
What is this milk shake stuff
How do you charge for an enclosure like this? I run a shop in the US. And there are times when it seems like we would have to charge several thousand dollars for custom enclosures.
Love the work you do. Keep it up.
Hi
We charge on an hourly rate base. We give a rough quote, 50% deposit. Then we take many pictures, video updates like on Patreon, so they can see the progress and then it’s just the outstanding bill at the end.
You certainly have to have a portfolio & demo cars to make new customers understand why all this bespoke madness is needed.
fuck sakes that's a beautiful box
Also do you use the remote from headunit to the hdsp v or do you use the automatic turn on features on the gui
We turn system on from the controller in this car.
That's what I mean it has an audio detecting function
@@eduardobatista329 no, no auto turn. You press & hold the volume button for ON/OFF.
Wow guys thank you for that, you see what I mean simple things can make it hard if you dont know, thank you so much guys.
@@pssound9749 thank you so much
What is the volume of a closed box has turned out?
It’s tested in the video.
Did you have to remove the blower for the AC ?
Not at all.
I never knew one can build a sub into the glovebox
Not the first time on this channel! 😃
Morning, yes it is the 1st time for me to your channel.
No way I'm cutting my car up, I have a 2019 Elantra and it's going to be worth a fortune someday...
🤣
What kind of grill mesh did you use? What was it called?
I don’t think it’s called anything other than mash, hexagon style.
@@pssound9749 ok thanks
Can't imagine the price for that.its beautiful work.how much? Lol
How much would u pay for custom work like this?
@@pssound9749 priceless
How much did you charge for that kind of custom build?
Hi, We can not share our rates publicly, no business ever does it or they shouldn’t.
If you’re interested in getting a system from us, then please email peter@pssound.co.uk.
See you in one month ☺️.this time fucking COVID will not stop us.
F..k covid, we’re gonna build history! 😎💪🔊🔊
don't you wear a mask for protection ?
I think its time....... to shave ur head bro! jkk Love the vids keep em comin!
Haha you see there’s no time for a barber! 😃
@@pssound9749 bought clippers when I was 24, havent seen a barber since lol
Tremendous amount of work as usual, looking made from factory, if not better.
You seems more joyfull lately too !
I've (re)watched a lot of your videos, and now i'm seriously thinking about putting the midbass under each front seat.
Though, If someone can tell me if it's a good idea or to forget it, in a 2001 Mini :')
