When Caleb says don’t eat out… and guests equate that to they’re not allowed to eat… AT ALL is strange to me.

As a truck driver, what happened is that she changed lanes without looking. Terrifying position to put that trucker in not to mention it impacted their career. And then not own up to it. SMH
It's people like this that make me glad I drive a rig with an inward camera as well as an outward. My company has been faced with claims from insurance-frauding 4 wheelers, and the cases were open-shut--we have proof that you hit the vehicle AND that the driver wasn't distracted (usually their whole argument).
Commercial insurance adjuster here, if you’re owner/operator, get a dash cam. If you work for a company that doesn’t supply them, find a new employer. So many rear end accidents caused by ppl that don’t look and change lanes and the only saving grace is the dash cam because tractor/trailers cannot stop.
She feels safer in this current automobile in case she decides to share a lane with another semi.
I could tell it was their fault
She’s a married single mom and doesn’t even know it 😢

"we got hit by an 18 wheeler"
"we were deemed at fault"
As a trucker myself, there is a 0% chance you weren't fucking around if you were deemed at fault. Your language tells us you have trouble taking responsibility.
I follow a trucker here on youtube who posts clip after clip of people like them almost causing accidents. People assume just because a semi is a bigger vehicle the person is more aggressive in driving and has worse driving skills.
As far as I understand, you guys have to rely more on *us* being good drivers because it takes a lot longer for the trucks to come to a stop/be maneuvered in general.
I wish you safe travels!
Wait…can you please explain this? I’ve always wanted to know what the truckers on 95 think of and how they see other motorists. I’d honestly want to see an AMA w a CDL truck driver
Thank you!!! I drive a truck too and that was making me crazy. every time they talked about it, you can tell they still don't believe they were at fault. Like I'm sorry but your driving has to be pretty god damn egregious to be found 100% at fault in a truck accident.
They don't need a safer car, they need to be safer drivers.
All the highly affordable camera set ups have really helped truckers and the industry... back 20 years ago you just paid out cause "You're the truck, you have to be better" but these people cannot drive in a manner to let a truck physically (like actual physics) fuction on a road. They were 1000% at fault and got given evidence as such or they'd still be trying to sue definitely.
@@SpoonHurlerYup. I am positive that law enforcement and insurance companies coined the term "professional driver" for the sole purpose of making their jobs easier and to generate more revenue from truckers. If they ever viewed us as "professionals" they would extend some level of professional courtesy or at least interact with us in a professional manner.

And now his brothers too? I would be an absolute wreck. I don’t blame her for being a bit in denial. Even just criticizing her for “not liking camping” when she’s EIGHT months pregnant is insane.

That's 27% interest after a year, whereas the 5% back is immediate, so it's not really apples to apples. Mathematically, it is better to use that card for the cash back compared to a debit card with zero cash back, as long as you pay it off quickly. Obviously, the issue is that they're not paying off their cards quickly, so they shouldn't be using credit cards at all.
The cash back can be a psychological trick to get people to spend more and go deeper into credit card debt. When used responsibly though, it can be a positive thing, regardless of the interest rate on the card.
Big number big rate bro 😂@@nwinsto602
I’m starting a credit card business, really seems like easy money at this point.
Interesting that she's listened to Ramsey for years and has 20 credit card debts lol
She must be exaggerating. How is that even possible?
She was watching it as entertainment though, not listening to the advice. Like a fictional TV show.

Honestly, why not sell cookies at a farmer's market? If the truck will barely do anything anyway, soft-launch your dessert at a place that requires a table and a lock box for like... idk however much it costs to get a spot on a Saturday morning.
Exactly this. Literally you can prove if your business will work by getting little setups and small events all over the place and make a profit doing it if its something you want to pursue. There is absolutely zero reason not to do a low stakes test to see if her business would be viable before going the super expensive food truck or renting out a space route.
yes, starting small is almost always best for anything that will require investing
Great idea!
She might even be able to bottle and sell some of those homemade coffee syrups she mentioned.
Great idea. There’s all types of vendors at my local farmers market. Perfect way to start and to test it out.
Dude is so weak and nonchalant. I could never have respect for a husband who acted that way. He couldn’t care less.
Literally. How did he even have the energy to make any children? He probably just sat there while the wife did all the work. He's like a dead battery.
His cockiness is what kills me. He's so uninformed yet thinks he has it figured out by choosing to not care. And he doesn't even recognize that he's pushing the boulder of debt the entire time.
He doesn't want to hear any of it either. He doesn't even seem like a likable person. Atleast the wife is friendly and willing to listen, and is the one who's actually aware of all their finances. Isn't like she works less and has more time to be taking on the stress by herself. Guarantee he's one of those guys who does the bare minimum of childcare responsibilities too.
The dude becoming aware of his boobs after Caleb talking about his own has to be some of the funniest shit I’ve ever seen on this show

The fact that most of the people on here cant grasp that eating and going OUT to eat are 2 different entities is mind boggling to me .
Exactly. Go out to eat once a week? Doable.
Buying door dash and buying crap 5-6 days a week? No.
First world country problem. Then they all complain about being broke and eat the rich

To be fair, I could never be a teacher. Kids are awful these days.
@@Sniperboy5551 It's his own kids though? If your kids are awful that's your fault lmao
Please don't get married then. If you think a bit of a mental barrier or simple ignorance when it comes to self-desires and the family unit is the cause for "DIVORCE HIM SO FAST" don't get married.
People are not perfect, people show their shortcomings in many ways, at many different times in life. It's YOUR JOB as a PARTNER to assist them with learning and developing to be better. It isn't just "WHY ARENT THEY GOOD NOW!!!!!!!" Pretending that you NEVER said anything rash, ridiculous, or off the wall, is absurd and lucky for you it wasn't on a UA-cam channel millions watch. Have some perspective.
If you aren't ready for that responsibility to yourself and your partner, it's not time to get married. And sure, if they don't want to listen or make any efforts towards progress, then speak to them about how that is having negative outcomes on your family, you, and themselves. Which, if not addressed, will start feelings of you wanting to move away from the marriage.

The way she tried to tempt Caleb with the cookies after he explained that he's doing his best to resist is disgusting. Explains why her kid is 160 pounds at 5´3 and 11 years old.

Also so disrespectful to him. He's strong enough to say no and she keeps pushing and pushing
Yeah she is a bit of an enabler
I want to give this guy some context on why not getting ahold of his debt is a bad thing. My dad was terrible with money. A couple of years ago, he passed away suddenly. Even though my parents had been separated for a decade, they were still legally married, and suddenly, my father's debts became my mom's responsibility. He lived his life perpetually in the red for the things he wanted, and now his wife and children have to deal with the consequences of that selfishness. I've never fully grieved the loss of my father because I am constantly angry about the position he left our family in out of his own irresponsibility.
When you leave your family saddled with debt either due to death or disability, your kids will not care that you went into debt so they could eat out all the time and take vacations when they were younger. All they will see is the fact that you were too irresponsible to do the bare minimum of making sure your ducks were in a row just in case. Maybe you can handle the dollar amount, but that pales in comparison to the lack of respect that your family suddenly has for you when they are stuck filling the hole you dug for them.
This. ALL of this. 🙌💯
Thank you for sharing your experience! I hope he sees this!!!
Hard agree! My mom is the one who has been terrible with money and she became disabled and had to move in with me and my husband. She still couldn't get a handle on her finances with no rent or utilities to pay so she spent what retirement she had and is now in assisted living on Medicaid. She still cannot get a hang of finances and is having my sister buy groceries(she's fed 3 meals by the assisted living facility so I'm refusing to do this for her as I've helped her enough). It's beyond frustrating
Caleb should pin this comment. It is so valuable to hear this

Why is she forgetting her debit card? She keeps it in a pocket? But she takes her credit cards? Your debit card stays in your wallet. These people are not adults.
The wildly uncomfortable moment when Caleb clapped back about him having the right to the property only because someone gave it to him. This guy is such a narcissist.
The way he was talking gave off postmodernism vibes and/or socialist vibes.
lol, he's a little bit of an idiot, but the term "narcissist" gets thrown around way too much nowadays.
I think they didn't mention that he paid something to prevent the foreclosure.
@@RedBarronSTInheritance is not socialism. Quite the opposite.
@@jamielivingston7765 I agree with you. His attitudes toward debt and money in general compared to his feelings/happiness were where I caught the post-modernist/socialist vibes.
His causal nature to his land inheritance (coupled with his seemingly lack of concern for his risk with the property in the current state), was not where I was getting those vibes. Maybe another tact would be him being an MMT guy, but I didnt get that economics was a thing he was interested in.
"Not as much as you do."

I'm fairly certain they're making her do a lot at home. I'm also not excusing her behavior, because wow. Every bad decision making is an excuse.
He says "no point in crying over spilled milk" but then puts no effort into cleaning up the mess. Debt with 3 young kids is far worse than spilling milk. Why is this guy acting so chill???
World’s second biggest excuse….my parents lived within their means and I was told no as a kid. I don’t want my kids to experience that
This (being told "no") is something every kid *needs* to experience so they don't turn into entitled bits of excrement.

Right. Using the word “deprived” is so dramatic. I love traveling rn as an adult, but at 11 years old I wasn’t thinking about all that. Having kids is not an excuse to be financially incompetent for the sake of “gotta make my kids happy”, so tired of hearing this from parents on the show. You know what your kid is also gonna like? having a parent that can support themselves and not leech off of their children when they can’t work anymore because they have no retirement.
yeah and spoiled kids tend to be more unhappy because instant gratification is actually really unhealthy.

Well and I call bullshit that kids need a ton of money spent to make them happy. You know what makes kids happy? Baking cookies. Playing at the pool. Playing uno. Watching a movie and eating popcorn. Going to the lake and playing in the sand with empty plastic cups. Playing tag on the playground. Kids need your time and attention far more than they need expensive things. They don’t care what car your drive or whether or not their shirt is secondhand or name brand.

She can't manage money, amass savings to cover the business investments needed, nor amass savings to cover her current salary that she'll lose until the business succeeds. This is bankruptcy waiting to happen. Moreover, there have been at least 5 cafes like the ones she describes near me open and fail in 10 years. The biggest issue I've noted is the business owner doesn't pause to consider why the service industry is such a challenging work environment for folks with ASD-1 and other similar DX's. Being fast, accurate, social, and stereotypically social at that, are not the hallmarks of ASD-1, but they are of every service industry position.
One café near me used volunteer high school students as free labor to help the paid workers with disabilities. Students have to perform 250 hours of community service between 6-12th grade to graduate. It worked put in paper, but not great in practice. Apparently, having half your staff work for free, and that half also being the quality worker half, builds resentment.
