In today's post-show, this divorcing couple and I discuss my break-up and today's WILD video title: ua-cam.com/channels/Le_q9axMaeTbjN0hy1Z9xA.htmljoin
He is behaving like a child and tries to push every problem on his mother or other people. Seems like reality catches onto him and now he has to grow up.
Dissing a woman's car after she gave you all of her savings to get YOU a car that broke down after 6 months is crazy. This man's audacity is off the charts lol
Its wild because she bougt her 06 blazer for $2500, doesnt owe on it, got $5k from insurance and invested $2k(or was it $2.5k) for fixing it. So shes up on her investment if what she said was true.
dude's next car should be a wambulance! he wants to spend $30000 on a new car because he can't take the five minutes it takes to tighten a loose fan belt with a crescent wrench.
They are also splitting the car insurance? Why? She could just get liability on her beater and most of the premium is for his new car. When they get divorced she should get her own policy.
She def had low self-esteem to marry him in the first place, I hope she starts believing in herself, gets healthy both physically and emotionally, and finds a suitable partner, not an adult child.
@@AriosbiAnnuled means the marriage legally invalid due to some reason (bigamy, consent issues, reliance on a fraud) and never happened. A divorce is the division of marital property but recognizes there was a valid marriage. With an annulment, you don’t have to go through some of the division of property stuff that takes ages in a divorce.
They're divorcing at 22 but honestly this girl is dodging a HUGE bullet....too many of these couples come on here years down the line dealing with behaviors like his. She's smart to escape early on.
She might’ve felt that him being emotional showed how traumatised he was and that she could ‘love him into being a different person’ when actually he uses being ‘emotional’ to manipulate people out of confronting him with legitimate issues. It’s giving “I’m broken, if you really loved me you’d deal with my flaws but also you can fix me so if you’re unhappy it’s on you for not trying hard enough to turn me into a person you could love” + crying.
This girl is amazing. She's the first woman I've seen on this show that didn't insist on showy, expensive things. I can't believe Caleb wasn't more supportive. She absolutely has the right attitude.
@@jennic8225 it could sound like either but the text said $78k and Caleb has their financial records. The brand new car would be around $40k alone. Multiple cards for over $6k.
@@pnwladyshe said it was a used car. She said “new” then corrected herself and said “used.” I’ve said that too about my used car because it’s new to me lol.
That's all I could think -- he left his mom's house to move in with a secondary mom that he could fuck. I'm glad she's getting out. A lot of women just stay in these kinds of situations and it ruins their lives.
He’s not equipped to be a leader for a family. No woman will ever respect him and will run roughshod all over him. He needs to drastically mature before ever considering marriage again. A “Batman” themed weeding is something a couple of 6 year olds plan out.
also: thinks a squealing fan belt is a good reason to avoid used cars. dude obviously has no idea that this is one the easiest car problems to fix at home with the toolkit your mom sent you to college with
Most Kia’s are fine now. They’re decent economical cars. Mine has lasted me for 60k miles with only one small $200-300 dollar fix I had to be made. It was way cheaper than any Toyota with the same mileage and year 🤷🏽♂️
When Caleb said she could be debt free in a relatively short time and he has astronomically more I felt even more relieved she’s going to be cutting him loose. She has all the tools and emotional maturity to flourish in her twenties
Hes the "car guy", but she understands cars more than him. Shes 100% correct that her AC belt squeak is superficial, and doesnt affect engine health. Car is a tool to her. And her old, trusty, hammer still works.
Pretty sure you could throw a dart at the board and land on a more reliable car company than Kia, at least for the older model years @@nicholaschow1907
My spouse went through a lot of trauma … and it made her more empathetic, more hard working, and more nurturing as a response of being denied safety and love her whole life .
Love involves passion and desire. They are literally childlike. The honeymoon phase always ends, just because the fire isn't burning like it did in the beginning doesn't mean you don't love eachother. The problem with these two is she's controlling and masculine and that makes him defiant because he's feminine and immature. @keyboardwarrior327
I believe he is emotional. If he had a REAL MAN for a father, he'd have nipped that cry-baby bullshit in the damned bud! Have some EFFING DIGNITY, for God's sake! And the crying can't be manipulation because his girlfriend is OPENLY DISGUSTED at it. If he really was manipulative, he'd stop it because it's clearly not motivating her to give him what he wants.
@llehsir some people do freze up and have to think. My husband takes a minute to answer questions because he has to think but math he's the opposite. I'm the exact opposite, I don't usally have to think about question and answers but mental math is something I suckkkkk at. I didn't learn multiplication until middle school 🙃 then didn't touch it again until high school.(no surprise i failed math my freshman year and almost failed every year after) Our school system sucks but luckily I'm good with budgets and make decent money so it's not affecting anything important to me
@@llehsir well it depends. There's no excuse for this guy's lying about the debt he had and not helping with finances. Being bad at math is common and sometimes it is what it is. But the totality of his problems is the issue, not the numbers thing
@@rubifranco5576 It will hurt tremendously if you don't get your stuff together before she leaves you! Being aware of this is the 1st step! Good luck.
@@rubifranco5576self awareness is always the first step. if you’re home, the home should be clean & you should be cleaning. cooking. looking for a job. if you take care of your own stuff & keep her relatively taken care of you shouldn’t have much to worry about while you’re searching for a new job. if you’re being depressed & lazy though you have every reason to be scared of being dumped. it’s 2024, no adult has the time or money to support an able bodied adult
Real, tone it down. Please. I'd rather go back to the old more toned down titles of old. Videos getting to "Reality TV"-ish. Edit: Caleb, its pointless asking the comments to be nice to the guests when the video title itself is completely disrespectful. It breeds and fosters a culture of hostility from viewers.
To the young gentleman. It's not that you don't like drama, it's that you don't like conflict, and you are passive-aggressive. You need to stop speaking to your parents for a few years and survive on your own, this will improve the rest of you life greatly.
@@blubb7711my homie used to have a Camry straight piped that mf bro tuned it tf out I would call it a shitbox just to piss him off even though it was a nice car this guy seems like me don’t know shit about cars but knows enough to feel like a car guy but pumping gas is crazy
She knew what he was like and married him anyways. Stop white knighting and accept she's a big girl that can learn to cope with the consequences of her actions
I have a feeling that _anyone_ who voices their opinions about him, or has the audacity to talk about their _own_ feelings or problems is considered "narcissistic" to him 🙄 And it's pathetic.
the fucking GALL on this guy to trash her car and insult it constantly when SHE paid for HIS cars and when he ran her finances to the ground.... Im gald she's getting out
Im actually proud of that girl! Very proud! She just saved herself a life time worth of financial issues. I never say divorce is the way but in this relationship it had to be done! Especially when i saw how happy you were saying what car you drive with no payments! You go girl!
As a guy with legitimate trauma, I concur. I find Door Dash overpriced and ultimately useless. To each their own, but I'd rather get the damn take-out myself. It's faster AND cheaper.
Boba tea and Taco Bell delivered to the door doesn't cure trauma (just hunger). $2400/mo is just pitifully small wages, which automatically excludes you from using Door Dash.
I think a lot of people consider trauma to be a reason to avoid responsibility, when actually understanding your trauma should help you take responsibility for it and grow past it.
I really really really want to see a guest with zero debt that just needs help with their budget and not paying off debt! That would be so helpful and interesting!
She should audition for a Matrix reboot because she dodged so many bullets by divorcing this loser. My GOD! •Car shamming •Calling out his momma but is a mommas boy •Doesn’t like being called out •Narcissistic •”Disassociates numbers” •Doesn’t like drama My brother in Christ YOU ARE THE DRAMA
I want you guys to know your relationship is not broken because he’s emotional and you’re not. Your relationship is broken because he’s irresponsible and not accountable for his actions and she is tired of the negative interaction cycle- having the same convo over and over. Also it is 100% the person with the crazy mom responsibility to handle your mom and set clear boundaries
My credit score is 710 and I have been using a secured credit card for a year with no interest charged and no late payments, utilizing 30% of the credit limit every month. I just opened a second credit card (unsecured) with a $6000 limit and made the first payment on time. Emergency fund is at 10 grand and I just scored a new job with 50,000 coming in annually. No bad debit. I’m also starting a couple retirement funds. All huge wins in my book!
Why do I feel like his “emotional” is him freaking tf out, screaming at her, then telling her his emotions are her fault before crying and being like “you know I’m emotional and you still do this to me and it’s all your fault”. I feel like he is volatile and emotionally manipulative behind closed doors.
I was thinking potentially emotionally abusive as well. She seems pretty level headed. Personality wise she reminds me of myself 😅 rational thinking and straight forward.
33:14 how dare he jump at the opportunity on shitting on her PAYED OFF (granted just needed a $2500 repair) when he used HER emergency fund to get his 2022 car.
He didn't use her emergency fund to get his 2022 car. He used her money to get the car that only lasted 6 months before it died then his dad financed the 2022 for him.
“My mother is a narcissist!” But doesn’t like anything that holds himself accountable, mmmmmmkayy. If she’s actually one, the apple didn’t fall far from the tree.
Mental disorders definitely run in families. Growing up with a parent with a personality disorder puts you at much greater risk for developing one, even if it’s not the same one.
Narcissists create two types of personality disorders golden child was in the family structure is typically the next narcissist and the scapegoat typically ends up with BPD if there are other children in the household who don’t develop personality disorders they usually deal with CPTSD
They're literally children.... -Doesnt like being corrected -Emotional wreck -Over reliant on parents -"Hates" drama but makes everything dramatic -Batman themed... Wedding???💀 -Gets divorced after zero effort to fix marriage
@@antonioiniguez1615 no they're not 😂 they're whatever tf the people getting married want them to be. Are you seriously trying to gatekeep weddings? Lmao
I got married at 24, my wife was 21, and we'd known each other for under four months prior to marriage (her father was diagnosed with cancer two weeks into our relationship and she wanted him to be able to walk her down the aisle), and a decade later we have four kids and are more in love with each other than ever. I will admit we got very lucky though, it easily could've gone sideways.
In my opinion they both seem confused and they found some sort of comfort in each other.. but the truth is women don't like emotional men.. she clearly wants a man who is in the lead..
A man-child who cries when everything is "too difficult", who admits he's lazy, who refuses to accept responsibility for his actions, who blames his entire life situation on trauma, who "hates numbers", who doesn't like to be called out on anything........cut his mother off for being too narcissistic? That's fucking rich.
It’s actually completely believable. If he’s such a mamas boy I’m sure he didn’t cut contact for “no reason” A lot of unhealthy codependency does involve abuse. I can totally believe that he had a toxic relationship that needed to be cut off, and if that’s the case it makes total sense that it would be really difficult and traumatic.
I'm 12 minutes in & man it really seems like she just treats her soon-to-be ex-husband like total garbage. Like she's battered him into absolute dust & it's really sad to hear how she talks about him right in front of him. EDIT: 25 minutes in & I get it now. Goddamn, son.
Blonde chick will end up successful. Little guy will come out the closest, be buried in debt and either wind up in jail, have a bad addiction or worse. Anytime you run into someone like this guy, run the other way. They seem likable on the surface but their passive aggressive behavior will end up adding nothing but stress to your life.
I thought they were a lesbian couple at first, but then I saw his beard. She is kind of cute in a farm girl way. I would have been into her when I was single.
I was homeschooled and my parents did a great job across the board. It's homeschoolers like this who give us a bad name. We're not all weird and helpless yall!!
Exactly! My 11 yo knows more about budgeting than this guy! My parents taught me nothing about money except how not to have any, so we are teaching our daughter very early and very thoroughly
Oppositional Defiance Disorder can be comorbid with ADHD, but not always. I have severe ADHD but am not oppositional (recovering people pleaser). My ex (who ended up being on the autism spectrum) however, has something similar called “Pathological demand avoidance”. It became so shocking that I became full of awe with how ridiculous it was. This man was able to *book our wedding venue* and invite his family and friends from overseas for the wedding, all while I said “umm aren’t you going to propose?”. He flatly refused to propose *because proposing was my idea*. He couldn’t do something to make me happy (or actually get us engaged) if he perceived he was being “told” what to do. 😂 I broke up with him (because right?) and he just couldn’t accept it. “But we are having a wedding! You WILL marry me!”. No, it’s “WILL you marry me”. He finally said those four words, but in the wrong order! 🤣
Yeah shrinks have came up with all kinds of disabilities that basically sum up to someone being an immature asshole. Everybody has a diagnosis these days when it's mostly BS...people just wanna explain away their stupidity.
So he's "emotional" and "dramatic" ... doesn't like being held responsible. doesn't like cooking. doesn't like looking at numbers i.e being responsible for his finances. smiles about his bad spending habits. doesn't tell his WIFE about his biggest credit debts. doesn't know how much he makes a year. he's not emotional - he's manipulative. PS I heard Hammer say to say nice things in here but I'm 20 minutes in and I would ask for a divorce from this man as well if i was in her position jfc.
I dated a guy that always cried about everything and I felt heartless when I got to the point of rolling my eyes. I broke up with him and now I’m with a wonderful guy who can rely on me emotionally but can also rely on himself. (By the way the first guy weaponized his depression and threatened to unalive himself at every disagreement)
I think after a certain amount of over emotional " men" it becomes a turn off for women. We like an emotionally stable man that we feel safe with and can be assured will protect you if necessary. This is nature....no women can respect a manchild...never going to happen long term.
Caleb!!!! We started the year with a 6.5% $11,700 student loan. In the first quarter of 2024, we’ve paid it down to $6,200. It’ll be gone by the end of summer. 🤩
great job!!! i’ve paid about 10k in my student loans since starting to watch caleb, minimum monthly payments weren’t doing me well but he lit a fire under me to really tackle them.
Financial win: Got completely out of debt after I started watching your channel last year, now have a $15k emergency fund, and had to pay several thousand in taxes (self employed) and just paid it all at once without even dipping into my emergency fund. For younger folks like me (25) who grew up dirt poor, doesn't have any financial help from parents, and didn't learn any financial literacy, what you're doing is incredible, Caleb. At a certain point once you're an adult it's your responsibility to educate yourself and get your shit together, and this channel is an amazing educational resource. Thank you, Caleb! 💜
My wife grew up with way more childhood trauma than these two jokers. Through sheer determination, she worked through it and has become successful in all aspects in life. Soyboy uses trauma as a crutch to justify poor decision making. Everyone deals with some level of trauma in their life. This under 35 generation has little to no ability to deal with adversity.
I dont really understand what people mean by Trauma... But I will say I dont know what I would do without my car! I'm a massive car guy and most weekends the way I meet ip with friends is we go for cruises and use radios to chat while driving. And weekends are spent fixing/ upgrading our cars. So just cause you dont care for cars doesnt mean they cant be very important to others.
@@ImCanine Yes, having a car in American society is unfortunately pretty necessary. But in his case it sounds like they work together, they live together, they probably could have carpooled. And, he should have looked for a less expensive car. If you want a new car, it's better to at least get something a few years old with 10-30k miles on it or something. Tho, I can't judge too hard because I bought a new car in 2019 as my first car and I am hoping it will last me a lot longer but eventually, once I have to buy a car again (hopefully 10+ years) I'll get a slightly used one.
I could see the argument (but I DONT agree with it) a few years back I wasted so much money chasing a dream I couldn't afford at the time, and it was a humbling moment when I had to basically cut my losses since I couldn't afford the rent where I was building my racecar. I had to get rid of everything and that definitely was one of my all time lows. I wouldn't go so far as to say I had "trauma" over it, but there was a lot of pain and sorrow I had to overcome after the fact. I will say, though, I'm grateful for everything that experience brought me and really opened my eyes as a young adult.
@@jin394 key words pal: hope. unless your toilet paper is made of dollar bills, i suggest you keep your future depreciating asset purchases to modest & within your means. something that won’t ruin your life & screw you over should it be hit by a meteorite, or more realistically, ANOTHER CAR ON THE ROAD IN A VERYYYY COMMON VEHICULAR COLLISION 😮, you will still be fine. i drive an 05 camry & it gets me to just as many places as your ‘19. have just as much space & capacity for an even better stereo system(not that i have any complaints), & when those friends are gone & i’ve been hit by a few rocks & side swiped in the parking lot, i’ll be able to get an equally fine vehicle right after. no major life changes for me. no major budget readjustment. no big legal trouble with some insurance on payments. idk if your parents dropped the ball on that, but no young kid should be tacking on car payments if not totally necessary. next time drive a beater or 10 year old car for a few years & build an even better savings account AND a new car fund. that way when you’re ready for an upgrade, you’re *ready*. life can happen to you without it ruining your life that much more.
This is kinda terrifying, they're so nonchalant about a divorce one year in. Disregarding finances entirely, it's so weird to hear casually "Oh yeah we're divorcing, we don't like each other anymore"
I did a self-financial audit and seriously curbed my bs/taquito spending. I'm spending less than a third of what I was three months ago. Thank you, Caleb and Team!
I bought my apartment from a young couple that was selling it due to a divorce (after one year of marriage). I’m very grateful for their stupid life choices, cause it was 25% cheaper than the market value.

As a homeschool grad, his consistent use of that as an excuse bothers ne so much. It makes more sense knowing his mom is a narcissist, but still. He needs to take responsibility for things. Fullstop.
Homeschoolers unite. I'm really glad my parents homeschooled. How do we even know his mom was a narcissist? We only have his word for it and his word is worth jack right now. His mom might have been fine, we can't know that from this.
One thing my dad regularly said to me growing up, and continues to say after I have started my own family is. A repair bill for your car is still better than a car payment that shows up every month.
'Y'know the ADHD thing where if someone asks you to do the dishes , you won't do the dishes?' That is some oppositional defiance shit, it has nothing to do with ADHD
Oh god who DOESNT have ADHD now?? I'm so sick of self diagnosing cos of a couple of Google searches and some matching traits, and people use it as an excuse for EVERYTHING. ADHD is a real thing and now a brownie badge or a way to get attention. Gen Z didn't get the memo
So obviously they made this up, but to be fair to the community, ADHD, and ODD tend to go together, but most outgrow the ODD, or at least learn to deal with it, as adults.
he did get it wrong labeling it as an ‘ADHD’ thing, but this is called pathological demand avoidance, and it’s a trait of ASD!!! thankfully, it’s not some internet mental health-speak, but a legitimately researched and catalogued symptom of Autism.
I would like to say that I was homeschooled as was my husband and neither of us are coddled and incompetent boobs. I'm a veterinarian and he is an engineer. We have 5 beautiful children who we also homeschool, we have no debt including our home that we own outright, and a hammer financial score of 9. Please do not blame homeschooling for your failures in life.
☝️ Homeschooling and bad parenting aren't synonymous, sometimes you end up getting an education that's a million times better through homeschooling. Really depends on how much effort the parents are willing to put into multiple areas
Yep. Own a home, started a family, money in retirement, savings, but I was homeschooled too. All before the age of 30 🎉 I really don’t believe this guy. Maybe his mother coddled a little too hard. I think his mom calls him out and now she’s a narcissist.
So, they lacked the ability to be responsible and mature enough to tell there partner they were unhappy, made a mistake, ect. Sounds like they weren't ready@@XFizzlepop-Berrytwist
@@caseyp3447 They could have been the other partner that didn't cheat, hide their finances, get hooked on drugs - they're still getting divorced to no fault of their own.
Good for her for deciding she's done with this after a year. I'm extracting myself from more than a decade in a very similar situation. I hope she moves out or has him move out sooner rather than later because he is going to continue to try to get her to handle his emotions and his adult responsibilities.
"I told you to get a Toyota, not a Kia." That right there that got me rolling!!! But for real, don't ever get a Kia or Hyundai. Once in a blue moon, you will get a jewel that drives forever, but the other 99% will blow up like his did. I am a car mechanic, so I have experience.
It's funny because the last number of cars my parents had were 2 Hyundai's they leased and then they just bought a KIA Soul a few years ago(2018 I think). It's not a bad car, but I don't know much about cars and trust everyone in the comments' opinion.` What do people recommend these days? IT seems everyone has a love/hate for every brand.
@AlvinKazu you're not wrong. everyone does have their love/hate relationships with all brands. Like me personally, I will always drive and recommend anything japanese. Mazda, Honda, Toyota, Subaru, etc. Those japanese know how to make a damn good car. But at the end of the day, just research the cat you are interested in. Don't just buy something out of impulse.
It’s very frustrating how people can avoid accountability for things they consciously did if they can just say it was a trauma response Everyone has trauma dude, and it’s insulting to people who have much worse trauma than being homeschooled and haven’t detonated their lives. One of the guys i served with was in a roadside bombing where several of his teammates burned to death and he was the only one who was able to crawl out, and the dude ended up opening a bar in their memory and is a respected guy in the community
As an emotional person myself, I get the crying and overwhelming feelings. But you have to learn how to cope and be a rational human being as much as possible. I hope they both continue through therapy.
Yeah my wife is a very emotional person and she has worked on it a lot over the years to help us get through disagreements and small fights more reasonably. I have my shortcomings on the other side. We all need to grow emotionally over time just like any other form of personal growth.
I kinda hope that they learn to persevere through difficult adult circumstances. Therapy will only help them point out the issue and they’ve realized their areas of weakness. Therefore, their next move, especially for him, is to learn that crying in the moment is not going to make the situation get better or make it go away. There’s a time and place for crying and it can be done after overcoming a trial.
Legit though, I was raised by my mother in a house of sisters and aunties, but I’m not crying over “everything” lol what a episode though. Funny enough he probably came at them from a better angle then they’re supposed therapist, like when you told them to quit answering for each other they both look almost taken back ahahah, I recall a marriage councillor who was intentionally pushing couples apart then picking up one or the other later on, they kind of sound like they don’t hate each other, oddly enough even with all they’re examples it sounds like she tried over and over to figure this out but he just would cry about “everything” so would go nowhere by how he says “I don’t like dealing with drama” when he’s dodging questions about his credit card spending habits to his wife ffs ahahahah
I have a lot of sympathy for Sarah, anyone who has dated someone like this knows how utterly mentally and financially draining it is, she deserves much better.
I think they both do in a way. They both have some serious growing up to do because neither ones mentality will be good for their future relationships.
Yup! They don’t start off like a child so you get sucked into how kind and caring they are and then once it’s too late and they show their true colors and feel stuck
Am only at the beginning but it’s fucking wild that the couple getting divorced is more respectful of each other and introspective on their relationship failures than the couples who insist their marriage is fine and only their finances are bad.
I was thinking the same. Obviously they have some feelings on what's happened in the past. But they can speak openly & address issues better than a lot of people in relationships can 😅
My financial win: after stumbling onto Caleb videos early last year, my friend and I started meeting regularly to discuss our finances and keep each out accountable. He managed to pay off all of his consumer debt a month or so ago and I've managed to get my $12k credit card debt down to $3k. I'm on track to have it all paid off in April!
This man over here with a car payment telling his future ex wife her car is a pile of shit- OKAY SIR you’ve never lived alone and you have like 10k in credit card debt SIT DOWN and shut up my guy.
This is exactly what stood out to me. Why was he dogging her car so bad? Clearly she knows it’s not new and shiny but she doesn’t have payments, that’s the point.
This infuriated me. He claims he's a car guy, yet won't learn how to fix em? She doesn't have a payment, that car WILL likely last for several years, and dropped 2k on it is called maintenance!!!
@@socoldinsidex3knowing how to fix cars is one thing but bitching about a squeeling accessory belt as if it's going to to cause the car to catastrophically fail makes me think he doesn't know shit. He can tell if a car is shiny and read the horsepower and 0-60 on a spec sheet.
This poor girl- happy to see she is smart enough to leave and separate herself from this adult child. She has her head on right at such a young age… I’m impressed honestly.
Hi Caleb! This is my financial win this year: Your girl here paid her business taxes in full for her 2023 as of today... AND I have money left over for paying my first quarterly taxes! All after aggressively paying off an $8k credit card balance in November. I'm proud of myself!
Congrats my fellow tax-cattle, MOOOOO! Let's all keep sending 40% of our income to our corrupt government so they can arm the taliban and send hundreds of billions to Ukraine. Let's not forget the 600 million to Pakistan for "gender studies" or the 36,000,000,000,000,000 + in debt they put in our name, then printed half of every dollar in existence when Brandon took office, causing the little money we have left to be nearly worthless. MOOOOOOOHH!! 😂
My win this year I'm debt free. I feel like a weight has been lifted from my shoulders. It was just some student loans and a car note. I have 6 months at least worth of bills plus some bad things happen money. Granted I'm active duty military and have no fear of losing my job. I also have gone almost 3 months without drinking. I feel accomplished
I love my husband so much. Hes my favorite person. Together for 7, married for almost 5. I would NOT want to work together. You need time away from each other.
My wife and I have been together for 13 years, married for 11. We've been working together for the last 3 years and it's been great. Most people think we're crazy.
Yes !! Married 5 years together 8 . We met at work and didn't start dating until we worked in different places. He is my absolute favorite person but I can't work with him. 😂 I feel you 1000%
Sounds like a failed homeschooling case. Limited interaction with others, coddling, no lessons on personal finance. In this case he would have had better luck with private school.
He would've had better luck with public school... Or literally anything else.... And I say this as someone that was homeschooled, it's hard to have a good homeschool education
Thank you Caleb! At the beginning of the year, I was facing foreclosure, credit score at 500 and living paycheck to paycheck, and owing my mom thousands of dollars. Watching this show, I took a look at my finances and decided to fix it. I didnt do it on my own though. My husband has helped tremendously. I saved my home, no longer living paycheck to paycheck, credit score is now at 650 slowly paying my mom off and we have an extra $1000 left over every month. Win! Thank you!
the "can you do the dishes? - I wanted to, but now I won't bc u asked" isn't adhd, it's called acting like a child. the disrespect these two have for each other is crazy
Oppositional defiance disorder is a co-morbidity to adhd and autism. It’s definitely a struggle to find ways to work around that immediate instinct to shut down when given directions or criticism but as an adult he needs to find what helps him. For me indirect communication like lists or a household app or phrasing it as a question or a general statement helps a lot but each person is different and these things need to be communicated and worked on with the people around you as well as with a behavioral therapist.
Almost everyone has some trauma. Doesn't mean it is going to affect your finances. It's easy to use trauma/ disease/ mental health as an excuse for things

I will say, though, I'm grateful for everything that experience brought me and really opened my eyes as a young adult.

i drive an 05 camry & it gets me to just as many places as your ‘19. have just as much space & capacity for an even better stereo system(not that i have any complaints), & when those friends are gone & i’ve been hit by a few rocks & side swiped in the parking lot, i’ll be able to get an equally fine vehicle right after. no major life changes for me. no major budget readjustment. no big legal trouble with some insurance on payments. idk if your parents dropped the ball on that, but no young kid should be tacking on car payments if not totally necessary. next time drive a beater or 10 year old car for a few years & build an even better savings account AND a new car fund. that way when you’re ready for an upgrade, you’re *ready*. life can happen to you without it ruining your life that much more.

Therapy culture is the cause of nonsense like this. He needs his balls to drop.
It's called grow the f up and be an adult.
