Such an important year for Bach enthusiasts. A lot more shouldve been done worldwide over the last 2 years to commemorate this occasion of the 300th anniversary of the two full cantata cycles.
I guess it is the first advent Sunday. The perfection of the performance is amazing. Danke, thank you, bedankt! Suggestion, subtitles helps the viewer to understand the beautiful music!
How wonderfully warm the Swiss audience are to the orchestra, soloists and choir and how good to witness the audiences satisfaction. I loved it too. 😊😊😊😊😊💫💫💫💫💫
The specific choice of soloists that Lutz makes for every single concert is what sets this specific project of recording all of Bach's vocal works so different than any other in the past. Every single work they perform is custom prepared and soloists chosen for particular strengths, incredible.
Ja, Benedikt´s Gesang dient ganz und gar der Aussage und Einheit von Musik und Text, aber die anderen: Soli, Chor und Orchester unterer Leitung von Herrn Lutz sind ebensolcher Genuss. Herzlichen Dank. Dank aber auch an Bach....:))
Brilliant performance - I especially loved Benedikt Krisjánsson and Peter Harvey. I was confused, however, because the section descriptions and timings in the details are from Cantata 74!
Its very apt that (I believe) one of the first Bachstiftung concerts 15 years ago or so was BWV 61. And now we’re coming to the end of the monumental Bachstifuting project, they performed the ‘companion’ piece of BWV 62! As always a pretty great performance. The stunning and dreamy tenor aria here one of the best interpretations I've ever heard.
Confusing description of the date this concert was given. The date of 26/5/23 is the date when this concert was NOT recorded . The date belongs to the performance of cantata BWV 74 .There is a Christmas tree at the back of the stage. This concert was performed at Advent time of 2023. Exactly 15/12/23-as correctly reads at the beginning of this video.

Bravo!
The tenor is exceptional-such resonance in his voice! He sang the part as if he had written it himself….
