    If you would accept a suggestion from a senior citizen. I would check out videos with women using calisthenics. There is no equipment needed (some use a kettle bell at times). But for your body type and your stress and time restraints it would be best for you. The women on the videos do power moves for strength and flexibility. I am amazed by their strength and physical appearance. I wish I knew earlier in life about this.

    I am really realizing I am such a volume eater as well and I’m slowly increasing the nonstarchy veggies and decreasing the breads and fats. I’m so used to the veg being the “side” so I’m still not making enough and hungry after eating. I’m gonna keep working on finding the balance and portions I need.

    • @Ash-nk8lk
      @Ash-nk8lk 19 днів тому

      I’m the same way! I’m discouraged though cus I’m not feeling very motivated since the scale isn’t going down at all! But I’m eating more volume, I cut out soda and juice, only drink water, coffee and pre workout, use keto bread, cut out a lot of junk food and sugar (but on days I indulge in mochi or Mike n Ike’s sour watermelon or hot tamales 😂😩) I’m not trying to tear myself down for that and keep making healthy choices but I have a a severe GI disorder so I can’t go number two and because of that I can have 20 pounds of old stool in me at a time and sometimes eating max fiber isn’t enough or makes it worse, or my body can’t break down food properly or absorb the nutrients 😢

    • @Ash_beep
      @Ash_beep 13 днів тому

      @@Ash-nk8lk they’re pretty much any veggies that aren’t high in starch like potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn, parsnips, turnips, etc. Even carrots and green beans are kinda starchy. It’s good to reduce them if that’s the only type of veg you eat but they’re still healthy edit: replace (with other veg) not reduce, sorry

    Hey Chelsea, Loving the videos. I am trying to lose just a little bit of weight and gain some muscle. Looking at your hats method, my partner mentioned about what if someone just put all rice for instead, and where does getting enough protein come into this method? I know the method is there so you don't count calories, I know you add tofu, but what if someone used the method and didn't add this. Just wanted your thoughts! :)

  • @Magnulus76

    I like using cardio machines because there's no eccentric loading, so less soreness the next day. I just use a higher resistance than normal. Arm cycles, rowing machines, that sort of thing. I've found more consistent muscle gain doing that, vs. using weights. I also don't eat that much more protein than normal.
    A few times a week I use a vibration plate, too. They aren't very useful as far as cardio but they do stimulate muscles you can miss in your lower body. It also adds beneficial stress to bones to keep them stronger.

    Hi, I’m usually a silent watcher but I have a question, if on the packaging for my veggies says the serving for it raw. How do I measure it if someone else in my family has already prepared it? How do I know the serving at that point? Sorry guys I know it might sound like a silly question, but be gentle lol

    • @imtherapycat
      @imtherapycat Місяць тому

      I would measure the amount of veggies that you're actually eating with a measuring cup. Most calorie calculators will give you calories based on a cup of veggies.

    • @anne-marie2159
      @anne-marie2159 Місяць тому

      Look at how many servings are in the pack and then divide the prepared food into that many portions. If you're slightly off it doesn't matter too much for veggies since they are so low cal. Or if you're eating the whole pack over a few days, it doesn't matter if you eat more one day and less the next, the total you log across the days will still be correct.

    It seems stressful to eat in the car, fumes, traffic, messy car seats, etc., probably a hurried meal and the opposite of mindful eating. Wouldn't it be more relaxing to eat somewhere else, surely you can find a better place to enjoy your meal if just for 10 minutes?

      People have things to do. They have children to keep their eye on, errands to do, etc. we aren’t able to find a peaceful place majority of the time. If we only ate in a peaceful place, we would starve. It’s mindful eating because she keeps track of what she cooks and her portions.
