Hi Chelsea, love your work! Can you recommend any books or other resources on understanding the benefits of strength training? For WFPB, we have lots of great books - the starch solution, china study, etc. But for strength, I'm not sure where to begin. How did you educate yourself about strength training? Any recommendations would be helpful!
I recently took myself to Paris for 10 days. I stayed in a tiny VRBO apartment with a kitchen, so I could have a relaxing morning with my coffee and oatmeal breakfast. I treated myself to wonderful lunches and varied lighter items for dinner. But the great thing was I ended up walking more than 20K steps per day, just wandering through neighborhoods, in museums, along the Seine. I can't say I lost weight, but I didn't gain.
That is great. I would have choose crossaint for breakfast, as this is so traditional french. But you can for sure also have a great time without that. Also some people have crossaint for lunch because it pretty much is a whole meal which keeps you also full.
Great video! I will say that once I moved the focus from weight loss to how eating WFPB keeps this 75 year old body of mine Rx free, the pounds melted off. Now 7 pounds from goal! Five years WFPB/vegan 🌱! Never ever going back …feel flippin amazing!
Great video! Another thing me and my husband do when we go out to eat is, we will split a meal. That way we get the experience of going out and not leaving feeling like we over did it. If you have someone to split and share with, it makes things fun!
I just recently did this. I was on the road for 2 weeks. We were in a different hotel almost every night. I brought along cans of beans and vegetables, fresh carrots and asparagus and fruit. I ate a vegan junk meal every other day and ate fruit, veg, and salads for my other meals. I really listened to my hunger fullness cues. I walked ALOT. I lost 3 lbs. So i totally agree with everything you say in this video!!
Welcome to our May Gray skies in So Cal! Great video....loving all your tips which are so realistic and oh so helpful to stay on track. Thank you for taking the time! Also awesome to see your continued progress!
Great tips! Last time we went to Disney world for a week, I was so sick of all the processed junk food, which at first tasted great but then made me feel like crap. I craved veg so bad! Next time I’m going to incorporate a lot of these tips. Thank you!
Welcome to California. Glad you got away and hope you have some free time here. Plenty of Sprouts and Trader Joe’s out here and lots of places to get fresh locally grown produce. Your body is getting amazing and you did your leg workouts also and it shows-ripped. More expensive but worth it is to stay in an “extended stay hotel” as they have kitchens and living rooms.
This was incredibly helpful. I am going to be away in London & Lisbon for 15 days at the end of June and I am planning to incorporate some of your tips into my plan. I love the idea of really stocking up for success each day by buying the same or similar food items that I would eat at home and having them at the ARBNB- to whip up a tasty whole food breakfast and lunch. Then I can do a modified dinner that won't blow my calorie count for the day. Thank you!
New subscriber! Looking forward to your videos. Love you personality and how down to earth you are. You seem genuine and honestly look to help others lose weight
This is so helpful thank you! I am right in the middle of building momentum and i don't want to lose it because of vacation. I've been cooking oil free for a few weeks now, in Spain everything is soaked in oil, hopefullyy stomach will be OK. So yeah these ready to go grab things and assemble, will def do that!! ♡
How about a cruise ship?? We are going to Alaska for a week and I'm not sure what to expect food wise.... tons of excursions planned so there will definitely be walki g but I already walk over 12k per day so I'm not sure if I'll pass those numbers .....(and I dont do community pools...)
That was really helpful. I have to try this microwave potatoe. When you choose your smoothie next to the calories are you also watching the fruit sugar content or this is something not so important to you ?
Thank you for saying that you have to pick a side! Seems like a lot of people want you to believe that you can ignore good habits when you’re on vacation. Thats has never worked for me. I do a lot of the things that you describe in this video ie Make sure that there’s a Whole Foods/Trader Joes and bring a couple small storage containers. I also bring a bag of uncooked oats with flax mixed in so that I at least have my first breakfast in case I can’t get to a grocery store right away. Thanks for the video, super helpful to know there is a tribe of people who are willing to do things that are outside “the norm”❤

Meant to add: your closing! The truths to come to terms with! Love how you keep that real! Thank you.
You're sounding like Dr. Seuss, "I will eat potatoes here and there, I will eat them everywhere"😂
My thoughts, too. I'm a retired First Grade Teacher.

Oh a very much needed video! I’ve never managed to not gain weight on a trip. Especially if that trip is to my parent’s house

Thank you Chelsea! Sound advice 🙏
Great video 🎉❤
Amazing tips and tricks🔥🔥
Perfect timing, I’m about to take a trip and really don’t want to gain weight. Great advice
Wonderful!
So helpful. Thank you
Love❤
I bring oatmeal with me and just add water and let sit for 10 minutes it’s not bad.
I’m confused about the apples and pears. They’re the ultimate travel food. There’s no knife needed!
lol. You’re so right. I just don’t like them that way

I really want to know what kind of products you buy in USA, in Whole Foods etc 🥰
Will you eat it in a house?
Will you eat it with a mouse?
Chelsea. How did the police sirens follow you all the way to the States 😂
I’m secretly a wanted outlaw. 🤫
