Love seeing Walter in the middle of it along with you. God bless
i like how Walter all way has a smile on his face love it
I know Walter has his own stuff going on, but it is SO fun to watch you two work together on a project. Really really enjoyed watching this video. Y'alls chemestry together is out of this world. Most surly sticking around to watch this project unfold. Thank you so much for sharing
Enjoyed watching you and WALTER working together and WALTER rocking the crocks.
I blame Ben from the channel JK Gear and Gadgets. He does everything in crocs and convinced Walter that they are the ultimate garage shoes 🤦🏻♀️
On x needs a croc! 🐊 style! 😊
Walter you are amazing in supporting Holly. You both make a great team. Love the show
I love the encouragement! Hopefully I can get him to hang around the garage for the rest of this build series 😝
That’s what it’s supposed to look like. You will be happier with the longer wheel base. Excited to see how it all turns out.
You and Walter had fun, Smiling all the way.
I have wanted to LJ my YJ for three years now so I’m excited to see this build! Great stuff Holly 👍🏻👍🏻
I love the long form videos on the builds builds
Love the build Hollie and so cool see team Wallie building together
I enjoy watching both of you work 😊
The way Walter looks at you! 🥰#coolcouplesgoal
Definitely love seeing Walter on camera more with you. You guys building things keep up the amazing videos
very cool to see you guys collabing on that build! Excited to see where this goes!
Walter looks like he is loving this. Looks great. If it looks funny, just roll a big tire into the wheel well and it will look better.
Been waiting for this build and it's going to be epic . Can't wait to see you and Walter at it again . Take care guy's!
Enjoyed seeing Walter in the video. You two are good together.
Burning your fingers on the hot welded frame made me think of Matt @ MORR. He, too, touches hot areas a lot. 😂😂
You might reach out to Fabrats, they stretched Dar’s jeep a couple years ago and might give you a couple ideas/guidance of what to watch for…
Good to see Walter in it too .
Been waiting for this build, looking forward to seeing a HEAVY (SCOTTISH) HAMMER....
😁👊🏻🏴
Love it, can't wait to see more.
This should be a fun build to watch!
More Walter! Love it

Hollie is channeling Matt Wetzel and grabbing hot metal
Wow, Walter Speaks! So Glad to see him included!
I’m happy that you do your on build. not like some other UA-cam people!
I really lucky to have some great YT friends that are very encouraging and inspiring!! Matt, Rudy and Paul set a great example!
The extra jack table/step support is definitely Brian approved! I hope Walter is in front of the camera more too! Now here’s the real deal. I need to get our basement done before I take on a Jeep project and YOU’RE KILLING ME!!
Enjoyed the genuine smiles throughout this video. You guys rock. Also good to see your use of face protection when using cutting wheels.
I love that the ESAB A60 has a grind mode. Hard to go back to glasses only when you get used to using a full face mask.
Looking good 😊
Walter setting...is same as Holly standing....Walter is going to make that stretch YJ look a lot like Trevor's mimi-jeep...LOL !!
Haha! Making the cage is going to get interesting for sure 😅
As far as the fuel cell, you can find something that will "work", but to get what you want, take your measurements and have one made. That\s what I did. I had it made from 3/16 aluminum, and use the fittings from an RCI tank, the return, the vent, and the fuel fill. Then just had it all put together by having it tig welded. I also (instead of using the pick up from the RCI, had them to make a bottom sump for fuel pick up(which is a lot better on electric pumps, so the suck from the bottom and not having to pull fuel up from the top of the fuel cell, from down at the bottom if that makes sense) Everything was tig welded, using filler rod(not just fused) I also had the mounting tabs cut from 2"X3/26 thick aluminum angle. Have never had an issue with this set up. BTW my fuel cell is 26 gallons. This has always worked great, oh, and since I have so much fuel, many occasions I have given gas to some who have ran out. (not because they didn't fill up, but because we ere out and went further than we thought we would) I have a valve coming out of my tank, so I can shut the fuel off, then disconnect the fuel hose that I can run into a gas jug, open the valve up, and fill the jug.
I have been running this set up for about 15 years. The only issue I have had is over filling it on hot days, as the fuel will expand and put out my vent tube.
I'm very excited!
You’re skills are definitely improving
With another fun project
Tip they make special tips for your plasma cutter call gouging tips
They work great for removing a weld
They do splatter a bit more
And how about some more KOH footage
Turkey claw look like a real challenge this year going up it rather than down
This is gonna be awesome! I love watching a Jeep/buggy built from scratch!!!🤙
Awesome 👍👍
5:41 .. Fabricating with pipe is always atrial for me too .... never got usd to it :) .. when in doubt leave more to grind off like this! :)
One trick I use that's amazing is a giant regular manual pipe cutter, nothing cuts straighter or more exacct, or with zero heat and no kerf loss! :)
I got mine at a garage sale for cheap .. but new made in china ones are around $50 on amazon they cut up to 3" dia pipe.
I’m going to follow this build. This is the 1st video I’ve seen of yours. I have a 94 Jeep YJ with a 2.5 auto which is a dog. I’m currently buying the parts to do a LS swap with Th350, 8.8 rear. Going to go 35s. I would LOVE to do coilovers or 4 link to get rid of the leaf springs but it’s over my ability and budget unfortunately. I did install a suspension seat because the ride off-road killed my back. I drive my Jeep almost daily here in east TN. I live 15 mins from bleepin Jeep.
I follow all YJ build’s because they are like the Redheaded Stepchild of the Wranglers. Gotta teach my 37 year self some tricks on a YJ build
That’s so awesome. An LS swap and a TH350 will certainly wake that bad boy up!
I am planning on doing a 4 link and trying to decide between ORIs and coilovers.
More toys…. Godda have more toys. Keep it up Holly
Holly your doing the build i want to do ! Go for it girl make it bad A ❤
Walter is getting his hands dirty...😅 putting some big shoes on that jeep? It's going to look nice once you are done and painted blue.
Hey! It’s Walter!! 😊
I GUESS IT'S A GOOD THING WALTER WORKS CHEP. MAYBE SHE WILL LET YA RIDE IN IT WHEN IT'S DONE. 😇
Yes ❤
You and Walter are a perfect match
THANKS FOR THE VIDEO, IT'S GOING TO BE COOL !
Doing good
Nice work! The two of you work so well together! Commitment 🙏 nice work too! Both of your work talent is improving daily! 😊
Thank you 🙏 for the videos and tips of how to do and not to do things!
🙏❤️😎🤙🛻💨
You guys are amazing!!😊
Don't look disappointed. It looks real good.
Looks like you have the grasp on welding. Good on ya.
Looking great
I want to do this to my TJ in the next year or so. I'm really looking forward to how you set up yours.
Love it
Get paul from fabrats to alter the fuel cell for you to fit between the fram he is good at it
Sick!!!
Hello Hollie and Walter! 👍🏻👍🏻
Been waiting for you to start on this 🤙
Hope you enjoyed part 1. Lots of fun and progress to come! 😁
I hope this build is Walter size so he can have fun wheeling alongside you
Nice video! Interesting... Juggy? Guess I'll have to stay tuned to see how this all works out!! LOL!!
Hopefully it all goes to plan! 😊🤞🏻
You should’ve put some cross supports on the upper part of that jeep tub so it would stay square and straight just to let you know
It’s not really necessary with the kit I’m using for the stretch. I’ll be able to get it square when the time comes 😊
Im so jealous hollie! I wanna do this stretch. I just wish it was 18 inches to run scrambler tops. Plus the back half kit forces a fuel cell and links. I like my leafs
I mean, it could very easily be 18”. Just buy the Motobilt corners and modify them another 3”.
And the plate for the floor panel can be cut custom. It would work really well!
👍
Rub a tub tub. Two in the tub lol
Holly that's a nice hat. Hooly are you silly it's hot? Walter walks like he has a bad back. Holly where is your scape paper at not your new table. Holly, you need a nice set of diamond titanium drill bits they will make your life so much easier. Sounds like another job for Rudy on the gas tank. Holly you and Walter make a very nice couple you get along so well. Did I say in the other video the shop looks great? Great job U 2. It looks fine Holly come on Girl.
Nice job guy's, i dont like the stretch but you guys did a great job. Hey Hollie what happened to KOH videos??? When are you gonna post those??? Thanks for the video guy's can't wait for the next one.
I'm no body man but have fun squaring up that body now since you didn't put any braces in to help keep it square... However, I know you will succeed and it will be awesome in the end anyway.
Maybe it's not needed and I've just watched too many UA-cam videos? probably lol.
I’m nobody also. Guess you’ll just have to watch and see exactly how I do it. 😉
I was concerned about the same thing initially, but the chassis was made on a jig and the 6 tub body mounts are all lined up perfectly.
All that has to happen on my end is squaring up the rear end - which won’t really happen until I’m ready to place the fuel tank in its place and create body mounts to replace the 2 I removed with the old rear end structure from the chassis.
I have faith and you are definitely somebody to me. Was just curious.lol@@MischiefMakerTV
Walter!
Great seeing you two working together in the shop.
Is Walter okay, he seemed a bit ashen gray at times to me.
You guys looked shocked. If all else fails, you can do an Ian Johnson and go to Aqualu Industries for the tub.😰
Are you going to extend the part of the body, behind the door but in front of the wheel well? Essentially keeping a factory sized wheel wheel, just extending it rearward. If so then I would cut it in that area to extend it. Making it look more like a scrambler or LJ.
You are gonna love part 2! 😉
Way to get after it! Interested to hear what wheelbase you are going for.
116” same as the Motobilt YJ and the max possible for this chassis according to WOD
@@MischiefMakerTV you’re making a skinny body jku!
@@krawlerkingdom well, duh! I figure 119” for MM, 109” for Nessie, and 116” is pretty solid for a mix of both (especially since I want larger tires that what I run on MM).
@@MischiefMakerTV it’s your east coast sender right? What tires are you thinking? My guess would be a mud not a sticky no?
Dumb question is the fuel cell square, if not maybe you can turn. Or can you notch the frame tubes to fit the cell.
Really looking forward to this build! Was wondering, will there be any KOH video coverage?
There will be coverage from race day. Should be posted this week! 🤞🏻🤞🏻
@@MischiefMakerTV awesome! Looking forward to it, your YT channel is the best!
Rear arches look way to big ask Paul at Fab Rat's he did Dars one & don't think he cut the rear tub that way
👌🏽👍🏼🇬🇧🇬🇧
Might want to level out those 2 rear bars so ur tub don’t look like it’s sagging
Those 2 rear bars are temporary. More of a visual aide to hold the tub until I get the new wheel wells and armor in place - making the tub into one solid piece again 😊
I’ll probably end up using them in the rear structure of the chassis, but right now they are just tacked in place well enough to hold the weight of the back of the tub.
What determines what you cut with ?
Plasma Torch vs Cutting Wheel
They just looked like there sagging a lil . Keep up the good work.
They are temporarily there the support the rear until I get the tub welded back into one solid piece (wheel wells, armor, etc…). Essentially a visual aide 😆
Hollie, is that chassis/tub bare metal? If so, you really need to at least bomb it with some etching primer before getting too deep into the conversion. Between the moisture in the air and the oils in you bare hands it's going to flash rust and more where you've touched it.
It is bare metal and it will be treated and powder coated once the fabrication on the chassis is done.
It has been sitting like that for a while. Luckily, it is pretty dry here in southern Utah. There are a few spots from finger prints and sweat that has dropped on the frame and you are absolutely correct, they flash rusted! 🤣
@@MischiefMakerTV Here in Ohio, I've had fresh blasted sheetmetal flash in hours. Jealous of the clean tub. Everything here just rots. That's how I got to build mine. Most of a 2dr XJ backhalved with a MJ cab wall. The only part of the floor of the XJ left was the trans tunnel. Looking good! Go slow, measure a dozen times and don't forget to step back and stare at it. Cheers!
What happened to you at King of the Hammers?
👌👍☕cz
I believe it would have looked better if you would cut in front of the wheel well.
Are we going to have to start calling you Matt 2.0. Don’t touch the hot stuff.
Like a moth to a flame 🤦🏻♀️
Holly where did you get those red stands?
I found them on Amazon. They are 10 ton tall jack stands 😊
Here is a link: a.co/d/9TR5bXj
@@MischiefMakerTV awesome thank you
Thanx for adds
No problem
OK, so when you're standing there, hold in those 2 Pipes that you cut, I say to my screen. Hey, where's your safety glasses? You might poke an eye out, I stopped realized. I was talking to my screen and sounded exactly like my mother. yup. I have no idea, but couldn't you notch the Pipe and then Weld the flat support in it to keep it structurally sound and then drop her tankin. I have no idea. Yeah I was just thinking that.
Hello Holy how is your back doing since the accident?
Doing great thank you for asking
What are the things attached to your hats on your right side?
I believe they are wireless microphones.
Two odd things...
1: it looks like an inverted gas can
2: it says HOLLYLAND
So not sure if you know it but Rockstar garage I am sure can help you if you have questions. Seen alot of there video's
🤣🤣
Did u get rid of the krawler hauler
No, we took it to Johnson Valley for KOH, but we are thinking about selling it now.
@@MischiefMakerTV k
What are the dimensions of the fuel cell you have now?
I was hoping to use a Jaz Jeepspeed fuel cell. It is 33-3/8 wide, 16-1/16 tall & 23-7/16 deep (at its widest point).
@@MischiefMakerTV just wondered if you could rotate it
If the 33 wouldn’t be a challenge going long, front to rear
Put the fuel cell in the trunk/cargo area don’t mount it underneath
I wanted to do something similar to Nessie, where it is sitting about half way through the tub (well forward of the rear axle).
Build a fuel cel
I know it is overkill, but I did want to get a similar setup to what we have with Nessie. A proper race cell with a bladder for added safety.
will Walter fit in this one?
Yes! I will make sure of it 😊😊
Most definitely
you got influenced by Matt @mattsoffroad for touching hot cut iron 🤣
Yeah, apparently I learn from the best of em 🤣
Holly you have been spending way to much time with Matt because his obsession with touching hot things is rubbing off on you. LOL
Keg fuel cell lol
Might be hard to come by in Utah! 🤣 but I like the idea
Why draw on the table? Cardboard shortage???? Lol 😅
Cardboard can disappear, that info will stay put until I hit it with some brake cleaner 🤣
Don’t forget braces
Koh video?
Coming soon. Still gathering footage from people
WHAT happened to “seat time over everything “? You have been doing mostly garage time with very little seat time ! 😢
VERY disappointing
Making my dreams come true one day at a time. I love wheeling, but I want to build a well rounded fleet & that takes time and effort in the garage.
Adds fin suck
