Great to watch the little pike go back under the weeds and go straight back into 'predator' mode (like they haven't been caught !) Great footage and a cracking session Chris - thanks for sharing - nice one
Love all your videos man! Keep it up! Looking forward to seeing more of the hidden ponds series. This is a cool idea for a video, love mini pike they’re so cool
Just started watching your vids and loved this. Quality fishing content from a genuine guy. Caught a couple of these recently while on my local river targeting perch and I don't know why but the little pike just seem to have a bit of character about them that makes them enjoyable to catch! Also creasing me up every time you try to unhook one, top stuff bud!
Cheers for the upload chris. Shows what a good head of pike the river holds, excellent to see the base layer of the triangle so prolific. Probably year 2 fish.
Can I just take a moment to thank the Angling Trust for lobbying on our behalf and convincing the government to allow us to keep fishing during the new lockdown😛😛😛😍🥰🤣🤣🤣♥️♥️♥️. I’ve found that a fly is a brilliant way of targeting micro-Pike.
Subbed 👌🔥 I love micro fishing but don't have pike around where I live, I've always wanted to catch one. Also like you said, never seen anyone targeting micro pike. Love it!
ace that caught a few me sen over years when fishing for perch the smallest a mate caught called it pencil pike as it was of that size on a small plug that was still far too big for him to be looking at lol
Great Video as usual Chris. Fascinated by your hand-tied jig flies, can you show us some more on them please? A few close ups of them and maybe even a vid on how you tie them? Cheers
I once caught a four-inch pike in a boating pond on Southampton common. I'd just bought my first (crap) fly rod and line and needed a bit of water to learn to cast, so I tied a red tag on and headed to the nearest bit of water, which was basically a big concrete saucer about 2 feet deep at most it wasn't a juvenile fish: it was perfectly formed, but had probably survived on insects in that puddle. fish don't have to be big to be memorable...
One suggestion, maybe you should lift the pike out of the water first, then grab it by the body, then your hand will be away and below the fishes mouth, then you won’t get bitten. If you leave it’s tail in the water, it will give one last thrust with its tail and his mouth will be open, so he will bite you.
Caught my first Pike today, about 5-6lbs, quite unremarkable if it wasn`t caught on a pole, 3lbs line & a size 20 Barbless hook. still amazed i got it in.
Brilliant fishing , dropped on you by chance...liked n subbed , I have good success on the Weaver for Micro pike around Nantwich I also have the R Dane AND the R Dove within an hours drive but the Chub in the Dane dominate and the BrownTrout in the Dove hit me before the tiny Pike get a look in, would love to find another river to target on my few trips out .
I'd give this video about 1`0x Thumbs up if I could! I like your thinking, I've been thinking similarly; combining lure and fly fishing. I've been going down the fly line and smalll soft plastics route.
My local club pond had all the Pike netted out about 6 years ago. I used to catch 3 or 4 in a morning session but haven't had one since. I cant believe they got them all so have continued to fish for them. I live in hope that there must have been some fry or micro Pike in there. One or two silver fish anglers tell me they have lost fish when landing Rudd etc so after 6 years I remain hopeful. You make it look so easy and productive. I really must give it a go. Iv had small Pearch on a drop shot rod here but no Pike yey. Have you had any problems with not using a trace.? Tim
I keep catching them micro-pikes on my UL perch set. Not a fan. They're wild, but it usually does damage to their delicate mouth. Perch is usually very careful, tiny pike, just the opposite. Hard to avoid.
🤣 psssst buddy, can you put me in touch with your dealer, they've obviously got some "top notch" gear...... Pet Pike that you can "grow on" so you can ride it into battle. 🙄
i caught a 5-6 inch pike this year while bass fishing... freaking thing tried to eat a choppo 4/5ths its size.. those small pike are aggressive for their size
I’ve grown to appreciate these little guys saved many a blank for me
Great to watch the little pike go back under the weeds and go straight back into 'predator' mode (like they haven't been caught !) Great footage and a cracking session Chris - thanks for sharing - nice one

another great video. Take care with open wounds in the river, Weils disease and other nasties lurking under the surface.
I must try this on My River. I would to catch Little Monsters like this. But all I get are Monster ones. Nice Session again.
Really entertaining Chris. Loved it buddy!

Why do I like catching micro pike more than actual getting a proper pike
Thumb up and I'm going with the episode👍
I'm going micro piking now... looks fun
Caught my first Pike today, about 5-6lbs, quite unremarkable if it wasn`t caught on a pole, 3lbs line & a size 20 Barbless hook. still amazed i got it in.
Great video. :-)
Guapisimos dibujos tienen 🙂🙂
Once American's are allowed back into the UK, I want to bring over my micro fishing gear and fish with you!
I have to say those micro Pike would make perfect livebaits for the bigger ones...😉
First time watching and is it just me or if you close your eyes he sounds like Tyson fury
Nice vid dom first one
Micro vampires!

Love catching little pike my 'record' is 7cm Rochdale canal.
amazing river and video thank you for sharing could you do a video explaining the physics behind live baiting
Great fishing once again mate. Is that a little Browning reel? looks just like one I used to have but got broken unfortunately

pike spawn in feb so try in june when the pike fry are about 6 inches and ther eating the carp fry best time of year for tiny pike
Looks kinda like a pickerel from the black line under the eye
Another good upload, only frustration was 3 ads in a 7 min video feels a little much
It looks extremely weedy, how do you go on bringing a lure back through that weed?
Can you show us how to tie the micro pike flies/jig that you are using please? Great stuff man. Keep it up!
Amazing video to wake up to
great vid anyway ginge
Wish I could catch one for my pond, got a few perch and its awsum chucking a few minows in 👍🏼
I went sea fishing on the Isle of Wight with my brother and it was a blast we caught bass and flatfish I’m more of a river guy tho
Super small crankbaits like the rapala x rap countdown work a lot better in this sort of water
I went micro pike fishing and I caught a 10 incher 😎
in the netherlands whe dont have does little rivers but whe have polders with big pike
🤣 psssst buddy, can you put me in touch with your dealer, they've obviously got some "top notch" gear......
Pet Pike that you can "grow on" so you can ride it into battle. 🙄
Two questions what bait are you using and do you put your GoPro underwater or your phone?
I once caught a 4 inch pike, it was the smallest one I've ever seen
Brilliant video as usual buddy although 3 adverts in 11 minutes is slightly annoying lol
My mom used to ice fish in Alaska for little pike
Dude you are my favourite youtuber.. What can i use for lures when i dont have any
love this video!!? where are you fishing, looks like the itchen?
Great video! What is the rod and reel set up you are using?
They kinda look like tiger musky
i caught a 5-6 inch pike this year while bass fishing... freaking thing tried to eat a choppo 4/5ths its size.. those small pike are aggressive for their size
we have lots of pikes in Canada and there big
Correct me if I'n wrong, but those look like grass pickerel, not pike. The vertical bands are a dead giveaway
We don't have pickerel/muskys in the u.k.
Could i use a light spin rod for some small to medium pike
what was the big minnow fish i caught some i really want to know what it is
