That's why I take NO pharmaceuticals and only a few vitamin supplements that my doctor says I'm low on (after blood tests confirming it). I plan to live naturally and die naturally and refuse to be a puppet of the medical or pharmaceutical industries. And so far, at 68 with no physical problems and eating right (no fast food, sodas, or other junk), I'm in great health! We have to be our own doctors and think for ourselves.

Bravo, Dr. Levy. My own life experience validates your theories. My beautiful late mother had dreadful osteoporosis (she lived to be 95-1/2 ) and she was lucid and remained active until her death but she was completely hunched over. I was just tested for osteoporosis. I eat zero dairy and take only probiotic and magnesium supplements plus a meat/fat diet and a daily weight-resistance workout. I didn't understand the results from the paperwork that was given to me after the testing. I went online and still couldn't figure it out. So I went to an RN and she said, let's put it this way. If you fell off a mountain, you would not break a bone. I call that happy news. I'm 83 and straight as an arrow with incremental increases in bone density every year.

Between the last few decades worth of municipal water fluoridation and devastating farming practices that have stripped once fertile earth of its nutrients--chelating what minerals were left with industrial fertilizers and glyphosate pesticide, most people are over-fluoridated (which is linked to higher incidence of fractures) and deficient on trace minerals like boron and magnesium, also putting them at risk for bone problems and many other adverse health conditions.
Trace minerals are needed by every organ system in our body. It is really no wonder we are witnessing the increased incidence of almost every chronic illness known to health professionals for ages, plus a multitude of new ailments like autism and their dramatic rise in the last few years despite the so-called progress of the medical industrial complex whose business is now more lucrative than the business of war. Anyone who wholeheartedly investigates industrial practices over the last century has to be suspicious.

I have increased my calcium and I have built back my cartilage. (along with a joint complex product containing glucosamine) I haven't been able to run at all for the last 15 to 18 years. I am now back to running without any pain in my knees for the first time within that time range. It has taken about three years to do that. I don't take pain or inflammation drugs. I use natural foods for that such as, Pomagranite juice for inflammation. Now, I"m back to running with no problem at the age of 68.

It's true, if you don't have a highly acidic lifestyle, you don't need to supplement calcium.
However, calcium is a base, and your body uses alkaline minerals to neutralize acidity, so if you drink alot of soda or sugar, your body will use up calcium, and these people will need to supplement.

The evidence I see is that too much Vitamin D can be harmful only with a deficit of Vitamin K2. These form a sort of assembly line of protein synthesis and missing the K2 can lead to the unchelated protein catalyzed by D going off the track. Exactly what K2 is only came in 2008, but it's pretty important stuff.

I had to have parathyroid surgery to remove a small lump in my neck..The blood tests all came back that I had too much calcium in my blood (leaking out?).This is called hypercalcemia. This can cause many symptoms ie depression. I initially thought I was losing the plot.Too much calcium is very dangerous and you can slip into a coma and even die..I was put on a drip to lower my levels twice.back to normal now.We need Vitamin D from the sun and apparently 20mins sunlight is usually sufficient if you can manage it...Therefore im inclined to believe what this man is saying!!!

If you take calcium then you need to take vitamin D3 as this increases calcium absorption. You need to take vitamin K2 as this tells the calcium where to go otherwise the calcium goes everywhere and not mostly to the bones. Muscles need calcium as this is what helps muscle contraction magnesium in muscles causes muscle relaxation. Have too much of one thing causes a knock on effect to all other nutrients in the body. Too much copper reduces zinc absorption. Copper water pipes causes increased inorganic copper in the body which also reduces zinc in the body. Stretch marks is a clear sign of zinc deficiency. Many pregnant women after child birth have given most of their zinc to the baby. This results in post natal depression. This man in the video knows what he is talking about. I support his message.

He is not mentioning that minerals have to be 'Plant Activated' in order to be used by the body. Minerals such as calcium can only be used by the body when they are absorbed through the roots of plants and an electron is removed to make it usable by the body. People buy mineral water to drink and if the minerals did not get picked up from plants but were dissolved by, for instance, running water over a calcite rock, then the calcium is useless to the body. Calcium also needs to be used with other things that help it to work better.

  • @tbursee

Calcium is fine as long as you are taking it with magnesium. most people are deficient in calcium. it's 65% of your mineral content and so when you're low in it, it starts a long line of problems. copper shortage results in diabetes. diabetic patients can be cured with copper suppliments

not heard calcium explained like this before, but what came to my mind was that Dr. Robert Young says that calcium leached from bones and found in body is to neutralise acids, which can then lead to stones as it binds. So is the raise in calcium in cells damaging them or is it there to protect cells from acidic damage? I suppose like the cholesterol debate, is cholesterol really the villain or is it there to protect us from acidic damage and bleeding internally?

Vitamin "MK-7 K2" is the stuff, you need to combine with D3 (which increases the calcium intake by 30x !) . This is the Vitamin, which act like a "transportation hormone ", and next to other great effects, it`s used in the body, to transport the calcium out of the soft tissues !
Well, without a solid base of magnesium it`s pretty useless.
Calcium is awesome: Reduces inflammation, is important for your heart, for your energy, ect. ect. .
BUT: If you don`t have enough K2 , the doc in the clip above is right !

+ET Himself, exactly, K2 is to make bioactive the protein Osteocalcin, to deposit calcium into the bone matrix, and K2 activates the other protein (that is also dependent on K2, and that is called GLAMatrix to stop calcium from going into arteries and soft tissues. K1 is totally opposite and found in leafy greens for the purpose of helping w/ blood clotting. K2 is more of a blood thinner.

Calcium is the most abundant mineral in the human body. . If you do not supplement with calcium, how do you then maintain the enormous amount of calcium that is needed in your bones?? Definitely you cannot get it from the diet.
I had a constant chronic lower back problems for 20 years and after just 2 weeks of Youngevity's Beyond Osteo FX, it was magically gone. I am a firm believer in calcium supplementation and this doctor's explanation (at least for now) does not convince me otherwise...

What he fails to tell you is that a lot of Vitamin C consumption blocks the absorption of copper in the body. He also fails to tell you that with all the zinc supplementing everybody's doing, too much zinc wipes out your copper (yes, too much copper also wipes out zinc). If you want to supplement with Zinc and high doses of Vitamin C, you better be supplementing with something like a Mitosynergy Copper-1 product. Also, too low copper levels in the body help to contribute to gray hair. High doses of Vitamin turn from a anti-oxidant into an oxidant producing Hydrogen Peroxide, also contributing to grey hair.

Excess calcium in the milk is coming from calcium minerals added in most if not all milk. This is because calcium due to light absorption over days in the supermarket and your fridge tends calcium to disappear in the milk, hence this added calcium. This seems why the research Doctor has mentioned about those taking more milk have had higher mortality. Having fresh and organic milk is the safe bet.

Iron supplements mey be needed for menstrating women. For anemiacs, B6 can be safer as it recycles the iron and is necessary for its proper handling within the body. I no longer needed iron pills once I got enough B6. Forcing too much iron down the gullet does not work so well. It is believed by many doctors that excess iron aggravates the aging body.

Yet he does not mention Biotin which was so horrible I thought I was dying until I read the horrible side effects of Biotin and threw it in the garbage bin and drank a lot of water until I was able to move my muscles again, get rid of dizziness, migraine headache (yes one that did not go away) and spacing out just for starters......

As I understand it, most people are copper deficient. Why would it be a toxic supplement? what kind of copper is bad? what kind of calcium is bad? very unclear

Is it possible, likely in fact that the the nature of the medical professional [hours worked + patients needing to be seen on a day/day-week/week basis] is [along with the lacking nutrition edicsions] what seriously hampering the medication help the people are given? It seems to easy to offer the opinion “look at that health care practitioner, they clearly need to follow advice X for the betterment of their own health”).

he is right about calcium and iron...but when it comes to copper i do not agree.....each and every supplement you take today depletes ciopper...copper regulates iron ....we do not need iron because it gets regulated by copper...for bones potassium ,copper,c and magnesium and lysine plus phosphrous.......large amount of c depletes copper.....

Hypercalcemia is caused by not taking enough dietary calcium and as such the thyroid overreacts and "robs" calcium from the bones and overloads in the blood. Calcium needs a lot of co factors such as magnesium, zinc, vitamin D3, vitamin K2.

Every time I see this doctor on UA-cam he seems to be aging terribly.. He's completely grey now and still chronically congested.. On the other hand, Dr. Ray Peat who's in his 80's isn't grey, is quite muscular and seems to be getting younger advocates that we should be getting 2 g of calcium daily for optimum health.. Pass the milk please..

I would not judge someone's intelligence or knowledge by the color of their hair. I have read several of his books. To confirm some of what he is saying, check out Linus Pauling Vitamin C Foundation where there are many research articles listed. Now on the other hand, I would never ever take Vit D (see Amy Proal and Trevor Marshall for info on toxicity of vit D). If people really are concerned about calcium, why not use leafy greans as a source.

I'm not doubting you; but I'm a lactose intolerant disabled taxpayer with arthritis and osteoporosis who never liked milk since I was a baby so afraid I'll find you correct. Nothing I can do now as is too late for me on my Medicare and surviving on my little SSD. Wish I could unknow things I've learned since becoming disabled but do buy bottled water, although Dollar General brand. I have peace and pain as I feel my bones soften without more details. Messed up system we have. But sounds great.

just eating bone broth soup from pasture raised animals atleast twice a month is the best way to get everything our bones need without a supplement and you get some good meat too! (usually from a chicken)
Vegetables also are a good source but you have to consider absorption rates paleoleap.com/calcium/
