this is amazing as always man, very beautiful images place and people. My family is from Mexico, out of all my siblings I'm the only one born here in the US. Last time I visited Mexico was when I was in 5th grade and now I just turned 24. Now that I'm into photography I would like to visit my family's home again to walk around and photograph but unfortunately they are from a part in Mexico where you will hear about on the news and not for the good reasons, so for me it would be a scary thing walking around taking photos in the streets. Thank you for this video Marcus, it made me feel some type of way just like art should.
Yo George, i hope one day you can walk those streets and explore with your camera, it really brings a new perspective to a place. Thanks for the kind words man, glad you enjoyed the video.
Stunning images, loved the insight too. I reach for my M8 now ahead of nearly every other camera as I love the results. But the reliability of my copy means I have to have a back up camera. But when the m8 is on song, it’s special !
Loving that single camera per situation approach. It’s a challenge to not only make the right choice, but to be able to stick with that choice after the fact with no regrets. It allows you to bring in so much more intention into your work and that definitely showed out here bro. Also, that cinematic intro was fire, I see you!
Awesome photos Marcus! Have the same thing going on with the M8 and Q2. When it's bright out, the M8 gets all the love and nothing beats it. Quick question: looking for a new camera strap...what you rocking on your M8 here?
Underrated channel, keep up the great work Marcus im a fan --- also been contemplating buying a M8. Dont know what im a do yet, keep saving for a M9? M10? not sure
Oh man, this made me want to visit Oaxaca so much. Brilliant photos, such great color and subjects. Not important, but I believe the last Kodak sensor was for the M9, as they tried to model it after Kodachrome, which was being discontinued the same year. But given the corrosion issues that sensor has, it's probably safe to say that the M8 was the last well-made sensor Kodak produced. :)
Amazing! hey do you have any advice to buy a leica M8? cuz i read that it has plenty of problems with corrosion, i would like to get one but it seems difficult to check that on e-bay also a good advice to take care that camera to avoid same problem, amazing video and photos, my family is from Oaxaca, always when i saw videos about that i missed them! great video subscribed !
The corrosion issue tends to be with the m9 more so but i personally was able to hold and check out my camera before I payed for it. That helped ease my mind. A film body could be safer
Wonderful video love the M8 as well just got lucky one was available at the Leica soho location. What is your lens of choice on the M8? Thank you for the content.
marcus , i have to ask i am gettiing my fist ever leica ....... and its between a mint m8 for $1985 addind $ 600.00 for the voightlander 35mm1,4 or a leica q for$2900 in mint cond. can you please help,i cant afford both and the reason thks so much john
Really depends on the purpose of the camera. Will this be your tried and true camera? Workhorse camera? If so then go with the Q. If this just a fun camera for you to take out on the weekend and trips then roll with the m8
Start watching at the fifth minute : First five minutes, the guy was talking about his life story which is not interesting to me. I m to learn, not to make friends. No offence, mate. Btw, to compare the 2 leicas, I suggest you take photo of the same sight, one after the other. When it's different sights, we can't really tell which we like better. But, thanks for sharing anyway, mexico is as beautiful as I remember it. Great people there !
Those M8 colors are outlandish.
Very nice video 🎉
Thanks for sharing
Always enjoy your pics from Mexico...so colorful ! Thanks.

It’s mandatory

Yea i agree Keith. The results are like no other but you will always need a backup.
Would love to see a video of your post process for both the Q and m8 one day ✌🏼
It’s coming
To my knowledge, the M9 also had a Kodak Sensor. Great video!
Yep that’s correct
8:35, best shot.
Good god those M8 shots.
Crazy
