- Last time I tried to see how fast you can touch grass in Persona 5, Persona 4, and Persona 3. In the comments you guys offered various ideas to take things even further, so today, lets see just how quick we can actually touch grass with these new improvements. And hey maybe we'll even do Persona 1 and 2.... yeah....

Also if everyone here watches Oshi No Ko I'll play Persona 1
Based
OK, I'll bite. What's Oshi No Ko and why should I watch it? (I mean, aside from making you suffer through the early Personas.)
@@jasonblalock4429 Cinema
@@jasonblalock4429 Oshi no Ko is a newly released anime adaptation of manga written by Kaguya-sama's author. The story is very intriguing, with the first episode having some great and unexpected plot twists, and the animation looks great.
TL;DR: Episode 1 was awesome, try it out
when I first saw this comment, I was like "lmaooo guess you're really never playing Persona 1, then because I'm probably never watching Oshi no Ko" (because I don't tend to watch anime by myself, I need company)
and then. an hour later i walk in on my sisters, 2 minutes into the first episode. and I sat down to watch with them, not knowing what it was they were actually watching.
so, uh... congrats. you're one viewer closer to playing Persona 1
anyway everyone here should watch Oshi No Ko 👍
Cool. Now finish these games without touching Grass like a real persona fan
You can't for persona 5 royal persona is probably the easiest one to beat without touching grass
@@tsm.95 you can't beat persona without touching grass, one of the dungeons is a forest with grass all over the place.
@@daiyahigashikata I meant to say persona 3
I played Persona 5 right when the lockdowns started and honestly I may have done that lmao
Persona 5 Royal would be physically impossible because of the park cleanup event.
Nah no way does flashback grass count. That’s like telling someone to touch grass and then just imagining touching grass.
HeavenlyM, you know what to do 👀
By that logic, one might argue that the first grass that counts is after 11/20
@@koiyei god damn it 😂😭 do I have to?
@@HeavenlyM Buuuut technically … its still a flashback until around 11/20 , so youd have to get past that which would take like 50 hours 🥲🥲
@@RoyaleRemii If I do do it I’m going Safety difficulty and allowing DLC Personas so I can Messiah my way through that shit, and then have a speedrun playing on the side and following their exact route. And it would still take like 10 hours 😭😭
We have to make touch grass runs something big.
Grass% not possible for P3P.
Wow. The Answer.
As a ps1 & 2 fan from the past video, I have been personally attacked.
I hope you have wet socks all day.
(this post is a joke)
I don't think the grass speedrun can get any better after this
i am glad i could help with you touching grass, persona 3's maps are burned into my brain cause how much i played it.
Disclaimer: to any of you watching, do not touch grass near someone's house. If it's private property, you could be fined.
this gvies me the urge to go near someone's house and take the grass out with my bare hands and eat it. Fistful by fistful.
Literally the first thing someone told me when I wanted to get into Persona was, "For the love of God, don't play 1 or 2, they are so fucking slow."
I own Persona 1 and both Persona 2s and still haven't played them. I'll get around to it... eventually... maybe...
It is weird that people act like they're all the same series though. Modern Persona is a Social Sim + an RPG.
i never thought i’d see an update to a freakin TOUCH GRASS video hahaha
I've started playing Persona 1 (PSP) recently, and the gameplay really hasn't aged that poorly. The original localization is usually what people say aged poorly, because it was, admittedly, very racist. You should at least give it an honest shot before writing it off completely.
it doesn't have social links, so i guess he's not interested.
The impossible challenge part 2 😮😮😮
If I recall, the dialogue skipping in P3 Portable is way faster, so you could probably do that version in like half the time
the bit about persona 1&2 is so accurate. ppl will jump you for not wanting to play their 20+ year old games. they seriously think p1&2 are the peak of video games as if we havent progressed in the 30 years theyve been out
I love the story of Persona 1 and 2 but I hated the gameplay. Some fans might hate me saying this, but I recommend using the emulator to cheat your way through the annoying parts to enjoy the story. Beat Persona 1 SEBEC route and Innocent Sin mostly legit, I only used the emulator to speed up the game. But I cheated my whole way through Snow Queen route and Eternal Punishment and I'm glad I did because the stories and characters are really cool.
Persona 1 would be inside the school with the monument, you can do it before any battles iirc.
I posted a message not so long ago saying I did a 5m 54s. I did not know that I had to start the timer when you click new game, I made the mistake of starting it when you gain control so I thought that was unfair. I redid it with the clock starting at new game and got a 5m 33s. And this is the PC version!
the p5 one doesn't count because youre dreaming of touching grass. and not actually touching it.
If you want to use that argument, you can't touch grass until after 11/20
Thank you so much for the comment at the end, I 100% agree. Persona 1 + 2 play more like poorly aged smt games than persona, because honestly, that's what they are. The story may be good but if the gameplay is an absolute pain to get through, then the game's aren't saved by their storylines either.
Yeah, I tried to play whichever P2 was on PSP and I just couldn't drag myself through it. The battles were excruciatingly slow and tedious, especially if you're trying to do negotiations. And yet the encounter rate was as high as any other 90s RPG, so progress through dungeons was absolutely glacial.
Which is a shame because I was genuinely enjoying the story and super-quirky characters, but the gameplay killed it for me.
P5's a much better run now, as much as the flashback argument is strong I'd rather real world but flashback over cognitive grass
P3F is a much better run in terms of optimising, great work on that
Does the Answer even have Grass?
Time to touch grass
Why does touching grass in the past counts? :P
It's like saying, I remember how I touched grass as a child.. that counts too, right?
We definitely still need Persona 1 and 2! And SMT If..., since that's basically a proto Persona
no grass in If as far as i can remember.
Pretty Sure In Innocent Sin You Literally Start The Game Outside So It'd Be A Very Quick Run Lol
It is true that the first two Persona games are interesting, but they have definitely aged badly.
7:12 Also I've literally heard people say if you want to experience Persona 1 you should read the manga
The remake we wanted😂
I wouldn't count what you did with 5 as touching grass, rather touching weeds. But that's just me personally
Totally off topic, but... 4:32 DW9 was absolute garbage, but pure kusoge gold. I picked it up on sale and got a hilarious 20+ hours out of it just screwing around and exploring how utterly broken everything is. I absolutely cannot believe K-T were OK releasing it in that state. It's one of the most embarrassing releases I've ever seen from a major tentpole franchise.
I bought it on launch and it was even worse. The already bad combat was made even worse by how everything unbearably lagged and stuttered on PS4. They’ve fixed up the entire game a good bit all across the board but it’s still just a drag to me, and I love Warriors games.
6min 35s is how long i play p5 before I get bored.
Where have you been? It’s been over a year since your last video.
How are you man miss you love your videos
I’m good, hope you’re doing well too :)
Oh and nice cough at the end. It accurately described how much I hate fans with a burning passion through different words.
I touch grass everyday as a persona fan.
I also love the title of "faster grass"
You live after that my vampire friend😳 no way
You are very based for saying what everyone thinks about the persona 1 & 2 VS 3,4 & 5 discourse but is afraid to say kaxjamcnajdjns
"sure, they're called persona, but they're not that similar to the last three persona games" (hasn't played them)
ok dude lmao
wtf was with that cringey rant at the end about classic persona? calm down man.
come back, daddy 😢
now do it in Q/Q2
SAKI LEO/NEED PROJECT SEKAI??? IN A PERSONA VIDEO?
Sucks to be you, the old Persona games are great, especially P2 as the story is awesome. Then again, you don't play real SMT games you casual :p
I’ve touched grass
Nah what’s up with unnecessary shitting on the classic Persona fans? A bit rude
I don’t know what you’re talking about, it was just a cough
Now do IF.... :P
I played Persona 1 on psp and I’ll never recommend it to anyone, it’s just not fun to play
skill issue, definitely.
@@daiyahigashikata It really is not, I've finished p1 and the gameplay was just not fun for me, it felt really clunky, I rarely died during boss fights. The only reason I played the original persona games was because of their story but gameplaywise these games are just too outdated.
@@krokuke it's outdated but saying you'll never recommend because of that is just silly. you have to get used to it then it's fun.
@@daiyahigashikata i beat both the main story and snow queen quest, so I’m definitely used to how it play. Still isn’t fun
